River in China Turns Blood Red

Well...this is interesting.

On Thursday morning, a river in eastern China suddenly turned a bloody shade of red, according to unverified reports by ABC News, China News, Shanghaist, and others.

"Local residents say the river was running normally at 4am, but it started to redden at around 6am, and in no time turned as crimson as blood," China Radio International reported.

While nobody is quite sure what caused the alarming change, the ABC report said "a paper manufacturer, a food-coloring company and a clothing-maker" were located along the river. When China's Jian River turned red in 2011, it was traced to a company that was illegally dumping red dye into the waterway. The Yangtze River had a similar incident, back in 2012, which was thought to have been caused by silt in the river.

Rivers turning blood red in China isn't exactly in prophecy....but you can decide for yourselves if this is just one more example of foreshadowing the events that WILL happen.

They have power to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.

Gaza Shall be Forsaken

Last week I put an APP on my iPhone called RED ALERT.  Every time a missile is launched into Israel an alarm goes off on my phone.  It tells you what city it is heading for and if I was in Israel, I would have a few seconds to run for cover.

As you can imagine, the alarm has been going off dozens of times per day.

Two cities that comes up frequently as targets of missile attacks are Ashdod, and Ashkelon, both of which are in Israel.

This morning I was reading an article and it mentioned a Bible passage that names this city.

Zephaniah 2:4
“For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.”

Hmmm.....that's interesting.  There is no doubt that Israel could pummel Gaza, and it already seems to be forsaken, as Hamas bows to Allah and they use their women and children as human shields.  Gaza is a 50% unemployed mess filled with angry Muslims who no other Muslim nation wants to take in.

But have you noticed that Israel has already lost WAY MORE SOLDIERS than they had planned? Could it be possible that Israel could lose a few cities of it's own before this whole war ends?  Could it be possible that these prophecies are going to be fulfilled again as we near the Great Day of The Lord?

The little book of Zephaniah (3 chapters or 53 verses) begins by prophesying the destruction of Judah (the Southern Kingdom) in the days of King Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon.  It moves on to prophecies about Judah and the nations as the day of the Lord (a term often applied to the Tribulation period that Zephaniah used more than any other prophet in the Bible) approaches and plays out. Then, it finishes with Judah’s restoration during the millennial reign of the Messiah.

These prophecies clearly have past fulfillments, but some writers think Zephaniah was saying those experiences would be small compared to a greater fulfillment in the future. One of Zephaniah’s more famous statements reads, “The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities (Israel has built a fence to protect her cities), and against the high towers” (Zeph. 1:14-16).

Dropping down to Zeph. 2:1, God told the Jews to gather themselves together (to assemble) and He calls Judah a “nation not desired.” Israel is clearly the apple of God’s eye, but this could mean she is a nation not desired by God at this time because she has rejected her Messiah. And it could also mean that she is a nation not desired by the nations of the world because they want to destroy her.

In Zeph. 2:2, God told the Jews He wants them to assemble “Before the decree bring forth (before the 7 year covenant is signed), before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’S anger come upon you (to assemble before the Tribulation Period comes upon the Jews).

In Zeph. 2:3, God told the Jews and all who will humble themselves to “Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.” He wants the Jews and everyone on earth who will humble themselves to meet before the Tribulation Period begins to seek three things: the Lord, righteousness and meekness. Those who do may be hidden (Raptured) before the Tribulation Period begins, but after it begins it will be too late.

In Zeph. 2:4, God mentions four cities: “For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.”

God said Gaza, one of the largest and most northern cities in the Gaza Strip, will be forsaken. As I write this article, IDF planes are dropping leaflets in the northern part of the Gaza Strip for a second time advising residents to forsake their homes and clear out. The first time Israel did this, thousands of residents left, but many stayed because they were told to ignore Israel’s warnings. This time, it looks like Israel’s troops will enter the city and it remains to be seen how many people will stick around.

God said Ashkelon, a Jewish city of more than 100,000 people about 8 miles north of the Gaza Strip border, will become desolate. Its closeness to Gaza makes it a frequent target of Muslim rockets. As I write this article, more than 60 rockets have been fired at Ashkelon in recent days; an Israeli teen has been seriously injured; an Israeli man has been lightly wounded; many Jews are spending the day in bomb shelters; and some have moved to safer territory.

God said Ashdod’s residents will be driven out. More than a quarter of a million people live in Ashdod and it is about 18 miles from Gaza. As I write this, the Iron Dome Missile System has shot down 5 rockets; a Patriot missile has shot down a drone; an 8-year old boy has been slightly injured while playing in his yard; fear and anxiety are spreading in Ashdod; and Hamas has rejected an Egyptian cease fire proposal.

I know most of you who read this blog are already paying attention to Israel and their current war with Hamas in Gaza....but according to this author, maybe we should all be WATCHING it a little bit closer.

China's Terrifying Debt Ratios

Many of you know that I work in the financial services industry....meaning I help people figure out their money.  I have heard numerous times from my peers over the past handful of years, "China is going to be the engine that powers the USA, because we will sell them EVERYTHING they need to bring 1 billion people into the middle class!"

Hmmmm.....but what if it turns out that China is a big house of smoke and mirrors?...just like so many other nations who believe they can print and borrow their way to prosperity?

The China-US sorpasso is looming. I do not mean the much-exaggerated moment when China’s GDP will overtake America's GDP – which may not happen in the lifetime of anybody reading this blog post – as China slows to more pedestrian growth rates (an objective of premier Li Keqiang.)
The sorpasso may instead be the ominous moment when China’s debt ratios overtake the arch-debtor itself.

I had presumed that this inflection point was still a very long way off, but a new report from Stephen Green at Standard Chartered argues that China’s aggregate debt level has reached 251 per cent of GDP, as of June.

This is up 20 percentage points of GDP since late 2013. The total is much higher than normal estimates, though it tallies with what I have heard privately from officials at the IMF and the BIS.

Total debt levels in the US are 260pc (if you assume that the Fed will never unwind QE, which I do). So unless the Politburo gets a grip very fast, and this too would be dangerous, it may catch the US by next year.

This does not mean that China is about to crash. It has a state-controlled banking system. Therefore any bust scenario will play out in a different way, probably through much lower growth and two decades of Japanese-style extend and pretend.

As the BIS implied in its annual report: almost the entire world has now been drawn into the Ponzi scheme of unsustainable debt.

We can inflate some of it away, or we can deflate into defaults and creditor haircuts. Pick your poison.

Cool!  There is someone else out there calling this whole financial situation a Ponzi scheme!

Now please remember, I DO believe that the entire world is going to collapse and that riots are going to break out in every major city and that we will all take root in our bunkers as we horde our food and bullets....BUT...I do not believe that that will happen before the rapture of the church.

Why?

Because Jesus said that people will be carrying on their day to day activities, marrying, planning a wedding, eating and drinking, etc....until the Day of the Lord drops on them like the flood water fell on the people in Noah's day. (Matthew 24)

Of course this HAS to be a passage about the conditions before Jesus comes for his bride....because it CAN'T be a passage that explains the conditions during the Great Tribulation, (that precedes Jesus' 2nd coming) because people of that day will be terrified, starving, dying of thirst, wishing they could die and hiding in the cracks of mountains as they try to keep their heads attached....certainly NOT the conditions that will precede the rapture.

Turkey's Leader No Longer Talks to Obama

Poor Obama!  He came into the White House with more good will than practically any other president in history!  He promised hope and change and even those of us who didn't vote for him wondered if his charisma alone might smooth over some sour relationships....but all that is gone.

He has now become kind of a lame duck...not just in the USA but over the entire world.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he has stopped talking to US President Barack Obama on the phone, amid growing strains between Ankara and Washington over Syria and the Gaza conflict

Turkey, a fierce opponent of Syrian President Bashar Assad and an open supporter of armed rebel fighters, felt betrayed when the United States backed away from military action against Damascus in September.


“In the past, I was calling him (Obama) directly. Because I can’t get the expected results on Syria, our foreign ministers are now talking to each other,” Erdogan said in a live interview on pro-government ATV channel late Monday.

“And I have talked to (US Vice President Joe) Biden. He calls me and I call him.

“I expect justice in this process. I couldn’t imagine something like this from those who are championing justice,” Erdogan added without elaborating, in an apparent jibe at Washington.

The last phone conversation between the two leaders took place on February 20 after which the White House released a statement accusing Erdogan of misrepresenting the content of the conversation.

A staunch advocate of the Palestinian cause, Erdogan has recently been at loggerheads with Washington over Israel’s campaign in the Gaza Strip that has killed more than 580 Palestinians in two weeks. Israel launched Operation Protective Edge on July 8 in an effort to halt the rocket fire from Gaza that threatened the country’s south and center, and find and destroy cross-border tunnels used by Hamas fighters to infiltrate and attack Israeli communities.

Erdogan accused the Jewish state of carrying out “state terrorism” and a “genocide” of Palestinians and criticized the United States for defending Israel’s “disproportionate” tactics.

The US State Department branded his comments on Israel “offensive and wrong” but the prime minister hit back by saying the United States needed to engage in “self-criticism.”

Erdogan is standing in August 10 presidential elections that he is expected to win, with analysts awaiting a more assertive foreign policy from Ankara if he becomes head of state.

Muslims Order Christians to Convert, Pay Tax or Die

This article really needs no introduction.

Christians in Mosul, the second largest city in Iraq, were sent a message by the Islamic State (IS): convert to Islam, pay the jizya or leave. It appears that many are taking the new self-proclaimed Caliphate seriously.

IS, formerly ISIS, is not formally recognized as a state and is considered a rebel group. It is composed of Sunni insurgent groups and was thought to have significant ties to Al-Qaeda (although Al-Qaeda formally dissociated itself from IS in February). Known for violence against the Shia and Christians, Secretary of State John Kerry has described IS as “more extreme even than al Qaeda.”

IS moved into Mosul last month and made no secret of their plans to impose the tax. Yesterday, after Christian leaders didn’t attend a meeting called by IS leaders, IS moved on those plans, issuing a formal statement. The text of the statement was simple:

We offer them three choices: Islam; the dhimma contract – involving payment of Jizya; if they refuse this they will have nothing but the sword.

The statement, originally issued by letter, was also broadcast via loudspeaker from mosques earlier today.

Jizya (sometimes written as jizyah and pronounced “jiz-yuh”) is the term for a tax paid by non-Muslims. The tax is the result of a centuries old contract called a dhimma. Under a dhimma, non-Muslims who lived in a Muslim state were protected under the law so long as they paid the tax: they were referred to as ahlu dh-dhimmati (people of protection) or simply al-dhimma or dhimmis. The arrangement is sometimes referred to as a “residence in return for taxes.”

Despite the fact that many of us are hearing about jizya for the first time, the concept has been around for some time. It’s even found in the Qur’an – you can see the mention at 9:29:


Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture – [fight] until they give the Jizyah willingly while they are humbled.

Also this is interesting because it sounds a lot like what will be happening during the Great Tribulation. During that time, those folks who are left behind will be given a choice to take the mark of the beast and worship the Antichrist and his system OR they will be killed.

10 Year Old Girl Faces Honor Killing

What happens when a sick, perverted, 45 yr old Muslim preacher rapes a 10 year old girl in Afghanistan?

Answer:  They try and kill the girl to protect everyone's "honor".

A 10-year-old Afghan girl raped by a 45-year-old mullah could become the victim of an honor killing if her family were to cave under pressure by village elders.

The New York Times reported Saturday the head of a women’s shelter, where the girl from the village of Alti Gumbad took refuge, received death threats for protecting the child. The girl was taken to the Women for Afghan Women shelter this month after her family threatened an honor killing. Police returned her to her family Tuesday.

The rape was so brutal, the girl suffered a break in the wall between the vagina and rectum, an official indictment said. She nearly died because treatment was delayed, the Times said.

The mullah claimed the girl was not 10 but 17 and offered to marry her. However, hospital records indicate the child weighed just 40 pounds and had yet to start menstruating. Her mother said she was only 10.

The girl’s father reportedly is under pressure from villagers to kill her because “she had brought shame to them,” said Nederah Geyah, the former head of the women’s-affairs office in Kunduz. Geyah was forced to resign and move to another part of Afghanistan because she fought to protect the girl.

Honor killings are still common in many parts of the world. Last month, Pakistani newlyweds were decapitated because they were married without the permission of the bride’s family. CNN reported the bride’s family lured the couple to Satrah in Punjab province where they were bound and killed.

The United Nations has put the number of honor killings at 5,000 annually, but women’s-rights workers say the number is likely much higher.

The Huffington Post reported many countries in the Middle East, North Africa and western Asia have no minimum sentence on the books for honor killings, which are not classified as murder. The maximum sentence can be as little as six months.

How many disgusting stories need to come from Islam before the world wakes up and says, "Islam is NOT a religion of peace.  It's a religion of hatred, perversion and death and the civilized world should not tolerate the spread of it any longer!"

Ummm....don't hold your breath that the civilized world will EVER say that.  Why?  Because in the same way that the Prince of this World, (Satan) has blinded the world to believe that Jews need to be exterminated....he seems to have also blinded the world to believe that Islam is one of the "three great religions."

And now that the Pope and others are lending credibility to this religion of lies...I seriously doubt that it will slow down.

Remember, Ezekiel 38 names a coalition of Muslim nations that unite with Russia and get an evil thought to go together to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews....so I'm quite sure the blight if Islam will be with us until Christ returns at the 2nd advent...at the END of the Great Tribulation.

Obama Warns Israel

Sorry for the lack of postings this past week but was busy doing some church things.  I'm back now and there sure has been plenty of news to talk about!

This headline for sure caught my attention.

Gaza conflict: Obama warns Israel amid rising death toll

Speaking to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, he underlined his support for Israel's right to defend itself against Palestinian militants.

But he said he was "deeply concerned" about civilian losses, with the Palestinian death toll now over 300.

Fifteen Palestinians were reported killed in two incidents on Saturday morning, including a family of eight.

Ummm...Mr. Obama?...have you not seen the videos that clearly show Hamas placing little kids by the rockets shooting out of Gaza?  If I can see them...why the heck can't you?  As crazy as it sounds, Hamas actually wants some kids to get killed so they can parade them all in front of the TV cameras!

If Hamas doesn't want it's civilians killed....then quit launching rockets from civilian areas!!

Mr. Obama, what would you do if crazy Muslims were launching thousands of missiles into Washington D. C.?  I would hope you would do whatever is necessary to make the missiles stop!

Hamas has the blood of its civilians on its own hands....and let's remember that the civilians are who elected Hamas in the first place.
