The Anti Defamation League is a Jewish Problem

Of course the ADL is supposed to fight anti-Semitism.  When folks roll out the anti-Jewish tropes involving money, jewels, lying, deceit, and using blood of children to make their Passover bread, the ADL is supposed to run in and cry foul.  But as non-observant Jews support liberal causes and vote majority Democrat, the ADL has turned into just another liberal trumpet supporting liberal causes.

This past Saturday night, when Shabbat was over, I opened X, formerly known as Twitter, to see I may have missed. I was immediately hit with a barrage of tweets (are they still called that?) with the hashtag #BantheADL, calling for the Anti-Defamation League to be thrown off the platform.

A few days earlier, Jonathan Greenblatt, the former special assistant to President Barack Obama, who was appointed to head the ADL in 2015, tweeted out the following:

“I had a very frank + productive conversation with @LindayaX yesterday about X, what works and what doesn’t, and where it needs to go to address hate effectively on the platform. I appreciated her reaching out, and I’m hopeful the service will improve. @ADL will be vigilant and give her and @ElonMusk credit if the service gets better… and reserve the right to call them out until it does.”

Let’s be clear about what Greenblatt was saying. Ever since Elon Must purchased Twitter, the social media platform has become much more open to free expression than it had been before. To a great extent, conservative voices are no longer muted in favor of progressives. Elon Musk’s commitment to free speech has been well-documented and has been a game-changer in terms of levelling what had become a biased playing field of information. 

Here in this tweet, Greenblatt was letting the world know that he had met with new X CEO Linda Yaccarino to discuss how X addresses “hate” on the platform. This may seem like a positive sign for Jews. After all, isn’t the ADL all about fighting anti-Semitism? Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. 

As has been well-documented by others such as Jonathan Tobin of JNS (https://www.jns.org/whatever-happened-to-the-adl/) and Rabbi Dov Fischer in the American Spectator (https://spectator.org/adl-jonathan-greenblatt-left/), ever since Greenblatt assumed leadership of the ADL, he has turned the organization into a partisan organ devoted to crushing political conservatives and promoting the most left-wing and progressive causes. I will not document examples here to illustrate this point. Readers can read the linked articles or search online and easily find this information.

We should note that the ADL’s role in online censorship of speech is nothing new. Greenblatt himself has boasted that in 2017 they opened an office in Silicon Valley to work more closely with Google, Youtube, Twitter, Meta, Reddit, and other smaller firms involved in the online information space. None of this would be concerning if it were true that the ADL was devoted to monitoring and combatting actual anti-semitism. 

What concerned me as I scrolled through my feed this morning was the number of posts gaining traction that, in calling out the ADL’s censorious activities, slid into overt anti-semitism. Part of what pained me when I saw these posts was that I agree with the antipathy that the posters feel towards the ADL. As a politically conservative Orthodox Jew who espouses and lives according to traditional Biblical values, I view the ADL as an arm of my cultural and political enemies. And I’m not alone. Far from it.

Orthodox Jews make up only 8-9% of the total Jewish population in the United States. Because they are such a small segment of the overall community, most Americans do not understand the significant differences between the Orthodox and Jewish Americans in general. To cite just one illustrative example, according to a Pew Research study in late 2020, 71% of the total Jewish population (including the Orthodox minority) identified as Democrats. But among the Orthodox, 75% identified as Republican. In political polling terms, these numbers are extreme. And this is far from the only data point.

Be Mindful and Expectant as Rosh Hashanah Approaches

I’ve recently had about 4 things pop in front of my face pointing to the Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah that is coming up soon.

As many of you know God appointed 7 Feasts for the Jews to recognize all pointing to Jesus.  When Jesus came the first time he fulfilled the 4 spring feasts to the day.  So when he comes the next time he will fulfill the 3 fall feasts to the letter.

When Jesus said “no man knows the day or the hour”, his Jewish listeners would have recognized that phrase as being from Rosh Hashanah/New Year.  The priest would take a trumpet and blow it when he saw the first sliver of the new moon signaling the start of Jewish New Year.  But he would never know the day or the hour he would blow the trumpet, but everyone knew the season!

Paul clearly told us that we are children of the light so that this day would not surprise us like a thief.  I, for one, would not be surprised if Jesus came for his bride any day now.  And just maybe we should be even more expectant every year around the Feast of Trumpets.  Yes, some say Jesus will fulfill that Feast at the 2nd Advent, but others say the rapture.  Think about it!  We are all supposed to live as if Jesus could come any day and to BE READY.  But do we really believe that?  What if we understood that we had only 8-10 days left before Jesus comes for us?  Are we really ready?

Rosh Hashanah is the birthday of the universe, the day G‑d created Adam and Eve, and it’s celebrated as the head of the Jewish year. It begins at sundown on the eve of Tishrei 1 (Sept. 15, 2023) and ends after nightfall on Tishrei 2 (Sept. 17, 2023).

 5) Trumpets (Leviticus 23:24) – The first of the fall feasts. Many believe this day points to the Rapture of the Church when the Messiah Jesus will appear in the heavens as He comes for His bride, the Church. The Rapture is always associated in Scripture with the blowing of a loud trumpet (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:52).

Only 2% of Churches Teach Bible Prophecy

In a recent Lifeway poll they found only 2% of churches in the USA teach Bible prophecy. This is an amazing latter-days stat for several reasons:

1- Roughly 30% of the Bible is prophetic. They’re ignoring almost 1/3 of the scriptures.

2- 100% accuracy in past prophecies fulfilled literally separates the Bible from every other book on the planet. It not only claims to be written by God, it proves it by predicting the future.

3- The entire Book of Revelation was prophetic when written. Today everything from Revelation 6 forward is still in the future and likely to be fulfilled within the next 7-14 years.

4- The Book of Revelation is the only book that promises Believers a special blessing for even trying to read and understand it.

Revelation 1:3 KJV – “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

I once read comments on Rev. 13:16-17 (Mark of the Beast) in a turn-of-the-19th-century commentary. The writer explained that each bank could have a person standing inside with a list of those forbidden to bank, and unless you got the OK-nod from him, they wouldn’t let you transact business.

That is silly and naive to us, but it just goes to show you that people over a hundred years ago were studying the Book of Revelation, as best they could, and receiving God’s blessings for the effort.

Illegal Immigrants From Africa Causing Problems in Israel

It turns out that “diversity is our strength” is actually a lie manufactured by the Left.  People from other nations and cultures can show up illegally, or legally, in your country and cause all kinds of mayhem.  They use the freedom that their host country provides to attack it from within.  France is losing its war with Muslim immigrants and so is Sweden.  Notice that Israel’s plan to stop illegals coming in from Africa is to build a wall on the Egyptian border.

Violent protests erupted in Tel Aviv as hundreds of Eritrean asylum seekers attacked Israeli police during a demonstration against an event organized by the Eritrean Embassy. The confrontations left over 150 people injured, including 27 police officers, in a city already grappling with tensions between asylum seekers and locals.

Following the violent disturbances in Tel Aviv, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, before boarding a flight to Cyprus on Sunday, addressed the chaotic events, denouncing them as ‘an actual threat to the character and future of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state.’ Netanyahu emphasized his government’s two-pronged approach to tackling the issue, explaining, ‘The first thing was to build a barrier to stop the en-mass migration. The second was to deal with those infiltrators who entered the country.’ Regarding the barrier, he highlighted the construction of a fence on the Egyptian border, which had successfully halted, by conservative estimates, over a million infiltrators. Netanyahu expressed concerns about Africa’s increasing population and its economic challenges, which could potentially lead to another wave of infiltrators. To address this, he revealed that he had recently ordered the construction of an eastern fence. He emphasized the necessity of safeguarding Israel’s identity as a Jewish and democratic nation.”

Netanyahu discussed the issue of those who had already entered Israel, stating, “Regarding those who already entered, several tens of thousands. We deported 12 thousand. We did not do what I think would have caused a disaster if we had accepted it, and that’s the UN’s proposal, which would have granted citizenship to 16 thousand infiltrators. This would have created a huge magnet for millions of Africans to attempt to enter Israel, and that would have destabilized us. This is not the solution. The solution is to willfully remove them or through other means. Unfortunately, the court did not approve five of such steps, including the recent Deposits Law. I hope we can do this.”

Americans Are Crushed by Debt and One Crisis Away From Disaster

 I bought a package of paper towels the other day and it cost $13.  My dog got a leg infection on Saturday and the vet cost $400 to diagnose it and prescribe antibiotics.  The brakes on my car cost $1400.  It seems every time you need something fixed it's now $1000.  How is everyone paying for everything when everything has doubled or tripled in price?  The answer is that most Americans aren't...they are putting it on their credit cards and unless something changes it can't keep going on.

Americans are currently beset by record levels of debt, and their financial burden could further increase thanks to rising interest rates, inflationary prices and the looming end of the student loan moratorium.

Total household debt climbed to a new high in the second quarter of 2023, reaching $17.06 trillion, with credit card debt exceeding $1 trillion, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. As interest rates stay high, costs continue to rise for expenses like housing and cars, and student loan payments resume, the amount of debt may rise, according to economists who spoke to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

"The amount of debt outstanding, and in particular the surpassing of the $1 trillion mark, is significant and worrisome," Peter Earle, an economist at the American Institute for Economic Research, told the DCNF. "It owes to a combination of several factors. The initial response to the pandemic, which prominently included the Fed setting policy (interest) rates at essentially zero for several years, made the amount of credit and the price of taking on debt extraordinarily cheap."

Interest rates for all credit lines are facing upward pressure following the Federal Reserve hiking the federal funds rate eleven times since March 2022, bringing the current rate to a range of 5.25% and 5.50%. Rates were hiked in an effort to combat inflation, which remained elevated in July at 3.2%, ticking up from 3.0% in June but down from 9.2% in June 2022.

"Interest rates on credit cards, car loans, mortgages, and other forms of debt have been shooting up, making the servicing of debt taken at low prices more expensive presently," Earle told the DCNF.

As of July, 61% of adults still said they are living paycheck to paycheck, according to a new LendingClub report, slightly more than last year’s 59%.

Already, four out of five consumers’ spending habits have been affected by inflation, according to TD Bank’s annual consumer spending index.

Some 70% of Americans admit to being stressed about finances, according to a separate CNBC Your Money Financial Confidence Survey, largely due to inflation, rising interest rates and a lack of savings.

Only 45% of adults said they have an emergency fund. For those who do have emergency savings, about 26% polled said they have less than $5,000 saved.

This pressure could worsen if the Fed decides to raise its federal funds rate once again, with Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell hinting at the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium that rates will be raised if market conditions do not soften.

It would seem that we are heading to that time in Revelation that speaks of people working all day just to make enough money to buy their daily bread...and nothing more.

We have said it many times before, but maybe God needs to take away the false idol of AMERICA in order for us to clearly see that Jesus is our only hope.

Burning-Man Mayehm

Its very interesting that God sent rain to put an end to this godless, pagan-worship party, complete with a Chapel of Babel and an Orgy Dome.  God will not be mocked.  And the actions and symbols set up at Burning Man maybe pushed the envelope a bit too far.

If you put up a blasphemous 60 foot tower and call it “the Chapel of Babel”, you should probably brace yourself for some consequences.  Every year, the Burning Man festival pushes the envelope farther and farther.  It really is the perfect “Mad Max” festival for our rapidly degenerating “Max Max” society.  This year, more than 70,000 people made the trek out into the desert, and that included hordes of celebrities and social media influencers.  At Burning Man, clothing is optional, weirdness is encouraged, and there is very little sexual restraint.  In fact, “the Orgy Dome” at Burning Man has become world famous for the activities that happen there.

And if we stay on the road that we are currently on, our entire society will experience very painful consequences.

So I don’t mean to just single out the Burning Man festival.

Ultimately, the Burning Man festival is simply a microcosm of our society as a whole, and hopefully we will reverse course while we still have the opportunity to do so.

Devout Christians Are Israel’s Greatest Champions

Notice that the headline says “devout Christians”.  This would likely explain why churches that fly rainbow flags, ordain gay, lesbian and transgender ministers and have a very low opinion of scripture, are typically NOT big supporters of Israel.  Some will criticize Zionist Christians and say, “you just want the Jews to hurry home to the Promised Land so they can be destroyed after the rapture!”  I would respond that ONLY God could orchestrate the return of Israel after 2000 years.  I would also point them to the everlasting promise God made to the Father of the Jews, Abraham, “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you.”  Seems pretty simple.  Also would help to explain why Democrats and even American Jews, are typically NOT friends of Israel.  Go figure.

Netanyahu also discussed how, under his guidance, Israel has made alliances with some of its Arab neighbors.

“There’s a very cruel rule, really a physics of politics, internationally and everywhere else, and that is that strength attracts weakness because if you’re strong people will come to you,” Netanyahu said. “We had to be strong, not only in our faith and in our resolve, but we also have to be strong in the material capacities that make a nation strong. The most important thing that you need for strength is a strong military. But a strong military requires a strong economy. I devoted a good deal of my time in office, as Prime Minister of Israel, to convert Israel from a semi-socialist economy to a free market capitalist economy. And once we did that, we had all the genius that is embedded in our people, the technological and scientific prowess to meet the forces of the market.”

“And that created this great transformation of Israel into the startup nation into one of the preeminent powerhouses of technology in today’s world.”

Netanyahu explained that this was the basis for the success of the Abraham Accords.

“If you’re strong, people will make peace with you. Nobody makes peace with the weak.”

Netanyahu also explained that the success of the Abraham Accords was that it sidestepped the Palestinians.

“It took a while to persuade people, even the previous administration, that we don’t have to go through the Palestinians to get their consent to try to get peace with the broader world,” Netanyahu said. “And that’s what people were telling us for 25 years. They said, ‘You can’t go beyond the peace that we made with Egypt and with Jordan. You’re not going to get to the broader Arab world if you don’t make peace with the Palestinians.’ The problem with that is that the Palestinians don’t want peace. You know, they don’t want peace with Israel. They want peace without us. They don’t even want a state next to Israel. They want a state instead of Israel. So if we wait for them, we’ll wait another quarter of a century, and we’re still not going to get it.”

Evans asked on behalf of his Christian listeners if it was safe to come visit Israel. The interview came during a period of increased tensions between Jews and Christians in Israel. 

“I heard two  American friends talking,” Netanyahu quipped. “And one of them said, is it safe to go to Israel? And the other answered, ‘Well, you know, once you get past JFK Airport, it’s fine’.”

“Screw Your Face Diapers!”

The folks who want to control us through fear and manipulation are at it again.  Will it work this time?  Will we all put masks on, stay home, social distance and turn in anyone we see breaking the rules?  There has been a big push by conservatives to get the word out, “whatever new pandemic they say is coming, don’t comply with their orders.”  It’s almost eerie to watch the video from 3 yrs ago when actors and TV personalities were saying, “if they don’t get the vax then no food, no medical care, no compassion!  Let them die of Covid in their own stupidity!”  Of course we now know the vaccine did nothing to prevent Covid.

A number of people on social media have declared that "we will not comply" with COVID-19 mask mandates as some hospitals and businesses have moved to reinstate such rules in recent weeks.

Notably, former President Donald Trump released a video addressing "every COVID tyrant who wants to take away our freedom."

"Hear these words: We will not comply. So don't even think about it," he said. "We will not shut down our schools. We will not accept your lockdowns. We will not abide by your mask mandates and we will not tolerate your vaccine mandates."

"Amen, Mr. President. WE WILL NOT COMPLY!" wrote Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake on X, or Twitter.

While the former president had no authority to issue lockdowns, officials under his administration came up with national guidelines in early 2020—when the virus first arrived on U.S. soil—in a bid to deal with COVID-19. Later in 2020, President Trump declared that he opposes lockdowns and mandates, saying that "lockdowns are killing countries all over the world" and called on "Democrat governors" to "open up" their states.

"Just a reminder. We will not comply. Ever again. Screw your face diapers!! #masks," wrote Fox News' Tomi Lahren days before on X.

Former "Saturday Night Live" actor Rob Schneider had a similar message as an Atlanta college confirmed it would reinstate masking. "Regarding your precautionary mask mandate… I have a precautionary Foot I’d like to shove up your [expletive]! But don’t worry, it’s just for the next 14 days! For your own protection! Ps. Students WAKE UP, SHEEPLE! SAY NO!" he wrote.

"We will not adhere to lockdowns. We will not submit to mandates," wrote Dr. Simone Gold, the head of anti-mandate America’s Frontline Doctors." "We will not wear masks. We will not close down schools. We will not comply to COVID tyranny."

The anti-mandate messaging comes as some hospitals in several states have moved to reinstate mask mandates, although some have only made it mandatory for doctors, nurses, and staff. But some have forced the rule on patients and visitors, too.

This week, Samaritan Health Facilities announced that it would require masking for staff, patients, and visitors. A public relations official with the hospital, Leslie DiStefano, claimed it is being done because “we know is that [masking] absolutely works,” despite hundreds of studies showing otherwise.

Earlier this month, United Health Services in Binghamton, New York, confirmed that it would again require masks for patients, visitors, staff, and doctors. “Because of an uptick in COVID-19 cases, masks are once again required in all clinical areas at UHS Wilson Medical Center, UHS Binghamton General Hospital, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital and UHS Delaware Valley Hospital, as well as primary and specialty care sites,” United Health Services stated on its website.

The policy, imposed last week, is “in effect immediately for all patients, visitors, employees, medical staff, volunteers, students and vendors.” It added: “Masks are required at nurses’ stations and in conference rooms within clinical departments, including areas where patients register, wait, transport through, or receive testing and care.”

Masks will also be mandated in “common spaces,” the announcement added. That includes hospital lobbies, hallways, stairwells, cafeterias, and patient care units.
