Europe is Preparing for War and They're No Longer Hiding It

 Wars and rumors of war!  What DO you do about Putin?  He clearly told the world that his nation will not tolerate NATO on it's borders.  And yet the West pushed ever closer to this borders.  In an interview he said he just doesn't want the trash of the West starting to drift into Russia...you know like abortion demands, LGBTQ normalization, gay marriage, men saying they can get pregnant and should be allowed to change and shower with little girls...that kind of crap.

And then he launched into Ukraine to take some more territory as a buffer zone in case Ukraine decided to join NATO.

Let me remind you that NATO has a rule in it's charter that, "an attack on one member will be treated as an attack on us all."  That was really the purpose...to threaten the Soviet Union during the cold war.

So now what do you do about Putin?  Ukraine CAN NOT beat them on their own.  The West can send them missiles and drones but without sending them soldiers and airmen to fly war planes, Putin isn't going anywhere.

And he certainly will NEVER say, "OK world...I was wrong, you were right...I'm taking my soldiers and heading back to Russia so Ukraine can have all the territory we were fighting with them for.  My bad!  Sorry to all the thousands of Russian mothers, but your kids died for nothing."

So now Europe has to assume that if Russia is willing to take territory from Ukraine, why wouldn't they maybe want some territory from Finland, Germany, Norway or Sweden?

Europe is doing something it hasn't done in generations: preparing openly, urgently, and systematically for a major war on the continent. Not a limited skirmish. Not a border dispute. A large-scale, society-shaking conflict reminiscent of the wars our grandparents and great-grandparents endured.

That warning didn't come from some fringe alarmist. It came directly from the head of NATO, who recently cautioned that the alliance must adopt a "wartime mindset" and be ready for a conflict comparable to the world wars of the 20th century. When the top official responsible for Europe's collective defense uses that kind of language, it's not a slip of the tongue. It's a signal.

And across Europe, governments are acting as though they agree.

Europe is experiencing the most aggressive military expansion in more than 30 years. Policymakers aren't simply adding a few extra battalions or refreshing aging equipment -- they are rebuilding the continent's defense posture from the ground up, reversing decades of demobilization and budget cuts.

Consider just a few of the dramatic shifts underway:

France is expanding its army and restoring military service nearly 30 years after ending conscription. While voluntary for now, the move reflects a growing consensus that France needs a significantly larger reserve of trained personnel. Why? If a peace deal with Russia were anywhere on the horizon, such an expansion would be unnecessary.

Germany is transforming its military at a pace unseen in its modern history. It plans to dramatically increase the size of the Bundeswehr and pour unprecedented sums into new weapons systems, advanced defense technologies, and logistical capacity. Next year's defense procurement budget is projected to reach record-breaking levels.

Other nations are following suit:

Denmark extended conscription to women and lengthened the required service time.

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania maintain universal or lottery-based conscription, preparing new waves of soldiers annually.

Croatia has reinstated a draft it abandoned nearly two decades ago.

Poland is developing plans to conduct mass-scale military training for adult males, hoping to double the size of its army.

Norway has begun reopening Cold War-era bomb shelters and expanding its "total defense" system, preparing civilians and infrastructure for the possibility of large-scale conflict with Russia. 

Sweden is upgrading its vast network of 64,000 wartime shelters and revitalizing national civil-defense planning, signaling that it too is bracing for the kind of crisis Europe hoped it would never face again.

These moves aren't sporadic. They're coordinated. Sudden. Simultaneous.

When half a continent shifts into military-industrial gear, it's not coincidence. It's preparation.

Hospitals Preparing for Tens of Thousands of Casualties

Perhaps even more unsettling is what's happening outside the barracks.

In France, hospitals have been instructed to prepare for a massive armed conflict by early 2026. Planning documents outline scenarios where 10,000 to 50,000 wounded soldiers could require treatment within a few months. Hospitals are being told to expand trauma care capacity, ready supply chains, and coordinate with regional emergency centers in anticipation of wartime conditions.

This isn't routine civil-defense planning. It's not a COVID-style contingency.

This is explicit preparation for large-scale military casualties.

Germany is undertaking similar efforts, quietly updating civil-defense frameworks and hospital networks to handle mass injuries in the event of war on European soil.

If peace with Russia were imminent, such preparations would be unnecessary -- even absurd.

But if war is on the horizon, they make perfect sense.

A Wartime Mindset Returns to Europe

The NATO chief's warning that Europe must prepare for conflicts on the scale of the world wars was not a metaphor. Those wars were total conflicts involving entire societies -- not just armies. Factories, hospitals, railways, politics, and culture were drawn into the struggle.

When he said Europe must return to a "wartime mindset," he meant preparing for exactly that kind of comprehensive challenge:

Fully mobilized economies

Expansive militaries

Hardened infrastructure

Civilian readiness

Rapid wartime production

National survival as a strategic objective

Across the continent, leaders are speaking more bluntly about Russia's intentions. Many now believe Moscow is preparing for a long confrontation with the West -- not just a limited conflict in Ukraine, but a broader strategic challenge that could eventually reach NATO territory.

European officials are no longer asking whether Russia might become a threat. They're acting as if that moment is inevitable unless the continent vastly strengthens its defenses.

Why Now? Why All at Once?

Europe cut defense budgets for 30 years, assuming permanent peace. That era is over. The combined factors driving the buildup include:

Russia proving it is willing to launch large-scale invasions.

Uncertainty about long-term U.S. commitment to European defense.

A munitions and manpower gap that could leave Europe dangerously exposed.

A realization that the post-Cold War order is collapsing.

Europe has awakened to the reality that if conflict comes, it may not be small, containable, or short-lived. It may require mobilizing entire societies -- not just professional armies.

The Unspoken Conclusion

European leaders publicly say they want peace. But in private planning, emergency memos, military expansions, and sweeping defense budgets, they are preparing for something else entirely.

Because the truth is simple:

If peace with Russia is around the corner, none of this makes sense.

If war with Russia is coming, everything suddenly does.

Europe is no longer behaving like a region drifting toward conflict.

It is behaving like a region bracing for it.

And when NATO leaders warn us to prepare for a war reminiscent of the world wars, we would be wise to take them at their word.

It's true.  Europe cut it's defense spending for the last 30 years.  Why spend money on guns and bombs when America is going to spend all it's money to protect us?

Well, America is now $38 trillion in debt and the interest on our debt now exceeds all the spending for military...so we simply don't have the money right now.  But if you want to pay us to keep our bases in Europe and pay for our guns, bombs and planes, then maybe YOU buy less cars, houses and vacations and provide more for your own defense?

And that's what they are deciding to do.

Interesting times.  Come Lord Jesus.

Israel Supplies Germany With Air Defense System

 The Jews are truly a blessing to the entire world!

Just imagine this story.  80 years ago the Germans were rounding up all the Jews in Europe and murdering them in the most heinous fashion.  Now today the Jews of Israel have installed an air defense system into Germany to protect them from the Russians.

When Israel unveiled the Arrow-3 system in Germany last week to protect it from a potential Russian ballistic missile attack, only 80 years after the Holocaust, reality was defying human imagination, former IDF air defense chief Brig.-Gen. Ran Kochav has told The Jerusalem Post.

Noting that this process turns history on its head, he said, "Less than 80 years after the Luftwaffe planes terrorized Europe and destroyed our people, the Jewish state provides Germany with the umbrella that will protect its skies. This is the triumph of the Israeli spirit and resilience."

“There is a very deep significance in the fact that Germany, 80 years after the Holocaust, is choosing Israeli technology to protect its citizens. This testifies to the path that the two countries have traveled and the mutual trust that has been built," stated Kochav.

Kochav recounted to the Post how he suddenly became a commander for an Arrow battery overnight when the prior commander was fired.

Though he was higher ranked, Kochav said he underwent a series of basic courses with brand new non-officer soldiers for several weeks, learning about its weaponry, its monitoring functions, its command and control systems, and its radar systems.

He eventually became commander not only of one Arrow battery, but of all of them, and eventually of the entire IDF Air Defense Command.

While Kochav had tremendous pride in his Arrow unit, he told the Post that he was very disappointed when the Second Lebanon War came in 2006, and his unit's high level of operational readiness did not match the much lower quality rocket threat which Hezbollah showered over northern Israel.

It would be almost half a year later before Israel would produce the Iron Dome to combat lower grade rocket threats, given that Jerusalem started developing the Arrow much earlier after being attacked by Iraqi ballistic missiles during the 1991 Gulf War.

Another personal story Kochav shared with the Post was his traveling to Alaska after the Second Lebanon War to test fire the more advanced Arrow-3, which shoots down misisles beyond the atmosphere.

Kochav laughed about having been "frozen like an icicle" and noted that it took three days to travel to the location and three day to get back to Israel for only two days of testing.

But he said he took great pride in shooting down the first ballistic missile for Arrow-3 along with a team that included Boaz Levy, who was then a missile defense specialist for Israe; Aerospace Industries IAI).

Levy later became IAI's president and Kochav the head of all of Israel's air defense.

Next, Kochav stated, "Back then, the mission was to defend Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem. Today, this technology, the fruit of the feverish minds of our best engineers, is being sent to defend Berlin."

Getting more personal in terms of his concrete experiences commanding the Arrow system as part of Israel's air defenses, he said, "As someone who commanded this unit, and later the entire IDF system, I remember the long nights in the control cars, the enormous tension before a test, and the heavy sense of responsibility."

The former IDF air defense chief continued, "There are moments in history when reality surpasses all imagination. Last week, when the components of the "Arrow-3" batteries were delivered to the German government, we witnessed one of these moments."

There can be no doubt that "God's chosen people" were chosen for delivering the Word of God, delivering the Messiah Jesus, showing the gentiles what blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience actually means and blessing them with intelligence to survive anywhere they were scattered.  Look up how many Nobel Prizes the Jews have received.  Understand that they are the heads of all types of industry and innovations.  They have been a blessing to the world, exactly as God said they would.

USA Could Potentially End Up Fighting Lots of Nations at the Same Time

I hope this doesn’t turn out this way, but the headline of the article was SO End Times that I just had to post it.

But the fact does remain that America has been the big dog for 80 years now.  The rest of the world has stayed relatively calm during that time knowing that America will protect them from any Boogey Man.  But nations can’t remain the Big Dog forever.  Ultimately they end up with military bases all over the world meant to cast their power and serve to remind any Boogey Man to stay away.  But slowly they start to run out of money because they put too much on credit believing they will pay it off one day.  The causes of overspending all sound great, “feed the children, house the children, healthcare for all people under certain income  level, subsidies for farmers, aid for foreign nations, college loan forgiveness, etc…”  

And then one day we wake up and realize that the INTEREST alone on that borrowed debt is GREATER than our entire military spending.  The Boogey Men start to make plans together.  China throws out tik tok to spoil the brains of our kids, makes fentanyl to destroy our kids, and starts threatening America’s allies Japan and Taiwan.  Russia gives us the finger while taking land from Ukraine and threatening European armies with destruction.  Venezuela dictator starts working with Boogey Men and soon is their good friend.  Mexico gets run by cartels who are responsible for getting the Chinese drugs into America.

We threaten them all but they may all know we can’t afford to wage war against them all to enforce our threats.

Oh yeah, don’t forget that America is split right down the middle and has now gone to fighting with each other because the split has gotten too large to compromise a solution.

I’m glad Jesus has it all under control because it’s looking like a nightmare scenario is forming.

With each passing day, the pressure on our European allies to intervene in Ukraine grows even stronger.

To most EU leaders, allowing the Russians to win this war would be completely and utterly unacceptable.

But the Ukrainians have no chance of defeating the Russians by themselves.

At some point EU leaders may give in to temptation and start sending large numbers of troops into Ukraine, and that will put us right on the brink of nuclear war.

Interestingly, the UK Ministry of Defence just announced that a member of the UK Armed Forces has died in Ukraine…

Once our European allies are directly fighting the Russians, it will just be a matter of time before we are directly fighting them too.

In the Pacific, the war of words between Japan and China is rapidly approaching a boiling point…

Beijing escalated its war of words with Tokyo after Japan said Chinese fighter jets aimed a fire-control radar at Japanese F-15s flying near Okinawa, an action Tokyo called “dangerous” and “extremely regrettable.”

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his German counterpart Johann Wadephul in Beijing that “Japan is threatening China militarily,” a stance he called “completely unacceptable,” after the radar incident, Reuters reported.

Wang accused Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi of “trying to exploit the Taiwan question — the very territory Japan colonized for half a century, committing countless crimes against the Chinese people — to provoke trouble and threaten China militarily. This is completely unacceptable,” Wang said, according to China’s official Xinhua News Agency. He added that Japan, as a World War II “defeated nation,” should act with greater caution.

If the Japanese and the Chinese actually start shooting at one another, there is no way that we could stay out of it.

Today, we have approximately 120 military installations in Japan.

We are Japan’s protector, and the Chinese know that.

I have been warning about a coming war with China for a very long time.

But we could soon be facing a scenario in which we aren’t just facing one opponent.

If the wrong decisions are made, we could potentially find ourselves fighting Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Russia and China simultaneously.

Needless to say, we should be trying to avoid such a scenario any way that we can.

41% of Netflix Kid’s Shows Include LGBTQ Themes

Do you think a headline like this would ever make it onto Google News?  Would your local news channels run with this story?  Would the daytime TV talking heads ever tell us?  Of course not!  Because the whole deal is run by liberals who vote Democrat and they WANT our kids to be turned into liberals who vote Democrat.  So they start at a very young age and continue with their agenda in public school and all the way through college.

It’s not in your imagination: children’s television has been overrun with LGBT themes, and Netflix is leading the charge, waving the rainbow flag right into your living room.

A new report from Concerned Women for America (CWA) confirms what many parents have long suspected about LGBT propaganda in kids’ entertainment. According to the study, one-third of all Netflix shows rated for children contain LGBTQ characters, themes, or messaging, and the percentage jumps to 41% in both TV-G and TV-Y7 categories.

In other words, the shows most aggressively marketed to the youngest viewers now routinely include sexual-identity content that would have been unthinkable in children’s entertainment just a decade ago.

The Antichrist Will Not Be a Muslim

 I’ve posted the teaching by Amir Tsarfati.  Most of you probably know his name as he’s been a frequent visitor on Understanding the Times and has numerous prophecy books out.  In this video teaching he takes us through the Bible and explains why the Antichrist can’t be a Muslim.

When he gets to the part about the Bible suggesting that the Antichrist will worship a god not currently known Or worshipped by anyone before, it makes us believe (even more) that some type of “alien” will be introduced to the world.  And these “aliens” will really be demons in disguise. Probably telling a story of how they “seeded” life on earth millions of years ago and have been watching our development all along.  They will also show the videos of how they monitored us over the years and how they “interrupted” nuclear missile accidents in Russia and USA to save the world from from ourselves.  

They will come with some great solutions and the post-rapture world will welcome him and them.

As Amir points out, he won’t be a Muslim because the Jews would NEVER let a Muslim have anything to do with the third Temple.  Also the Muslims would never allow another Muslim to cancel the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount to allow a Jewish Temple to be built there.

But most importantly, the Muslims of Turkey, Iran, Libya and Sudan will have just been supernaturally destroyed by God himself using hail and fire and earthquakes in Ezekiel 38.  This will leave millions of Muslims questioning how weak their god, Allah, really is.  They will be looking for answers and will easily fall under the spell of a new religion brought by the Antichrist.

The Future of US Debt and Fiscal Policy

 We have been preaching about financial collapse for over 15 years on this blog.  We know that it starts slowly and happens suddenly.

We have even used this quote from Alexander Tytler a few times over the years.

So America has had loose fiscal policy for going on 50 years.  When Nixon took us off the gold standard in 1971 and we started down the road of just selling US Bonds to finance all the stuff we wanted or needed.  Every election we started to elect the politician who would tell us what our itchy ears wanted to hear.  "You can have it today and the government will provide it and it will cost you nothing!"

But spend some time reading this article below from Peterson Foundation.  They claim to be a non-partisan source and simply look at charts, numbers and history to see where things are.  And I do believe this is accurate.

Please notice this one paragraph in the article;

Currency, banking and debt crises are a recurrent feature globally. They often happen “slowly then all at once”; fiscal deficits and debt burdens mount for a long time, then market participants suddenly shift their collective views, often in response to some new piece of information.

Slowly then all at once...suddenly.

Now continue to read the article about all that Trump is doing that breeds uncertainty into global players that have come to rely and trust the US Government.  

Now go back to Tytler's quote above and see how history always replaces a democracy (yes, I know that we are a Constitutional Republic, but our votes count to elect our representatives) with a dictator.

Now understand that Trump was put on the throne by God.  Does God put leaders in place to move prophecy forward?  Yes.  

Does America deserve judgment for the millions of babies we have murdered in the last 50 years?  Yes.

Does God warn nations about dividing Israel and messing with Jerusalem?  Yes.

Has Trump recently entertained the idea of selling out a TWO STATE SOLUTION to Saudi Arabia?   Yes.

Would that include dividing God's land?  Yes.

Has Trump surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and is he truly born again?  I don't know.  I can't see any fruit because I don't know his personal life.  Could he be a baby Christian?  Yes.  Could he be a mature follower of Christ?  I can't see it.

Could Trump actually end up being the dictator of our fallen democracy if it collapses in the next 3 years?  Maybe.

Am I thankful that God is in control of it all and "sets up and tears down leaders and nations"?  YES!!

Do I believe that the rapture of the church is closer today than it's ever been?  YES!!

Do I still believe that the financial collapse of America is going to happen immediately following the rapture?  I DO!

I think we all need to realize that we are in the very final innings of the game.  The American Experiment is coming to a close.  If we put all of our faith in the USA then we are going to be sorely disappointed.

But for most of my readers who have put their faith alone in Jesus, there is a glorious future awaiting us all and it starts when we leave these sin-filled bodies.

Most Christians Think Doing Good Things is All You Need

This makes a lot of sense when you consider that Jesus asked if he would find any faith on earth when He returns.  The very folks who call themselves Christians don’t even have faith in Christ but rather are relying on their own good works to get them to Heaven.  How sad.  How much longer can America last when even the “Restrainer” Holy Spirit isn’t actually indwelling most of those who identify as Christians?

New research reveals that most self-identified Christians think doing “good things” for others is enough to secure them a spot in Heaven, in what one leading researcher laments as the latest example of a widespread embrace of “unbiblical beliefs” among American Christians. 

A recent report released by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University examining Americans’ views on the afterlife constitutes the latest installment of the American Worldview Inventory 2025, a survey of 2,000 American adults conducted in March. 

Overall, majorities of all Christian subgroups believe that every person will be judged personally by God, with 95% of theologically identified born-again Christians, 86% of Pentecostals, 84% of Evangelicals, 84% of independent and non-denominational Christians, 83% of Protestants, 82% of Mainline Protestants, 78% of self-identified Christians and 74% of Catholics embracing this belief. 

A majority (53%) of self-identified Christians agree that “A person who is generally good, or does enough good things for others, will earn a place in Heaven.” A majority of Catholics (73%) believe that doing “good things” is enough to secure a place in Heaven. Less than half of Evangelicals (43%), Mainline Protestants (43%), theologically identified born-again Christians (42%), Protestants (41%), Pentecostals (41%) and Christians who attend independent and non-denominational churches (35%) said the same. 

While over half of Catholics (54%) believe that “There are many paths to eternal salvation; you can choose whichever one you prefer,” less than half of self-identified Christians (41%), Evangelicals (37%), Mainline Protestants (35%), Pentecostals (34%), Protestants (34%), and Christians who go to independent and non-denominational churches (31%) and theologically identified born-again Christians (27%) held this opinion.
