Doomsday Clock Moved Closer to Midnight

I’ve read articles from this dude, Michael Snyder, for years.  He has been warning of collapse of Western civilization for the 18 years we have been blogging and for sure we are 18 years closer to this happening.  But I THINK he is not a pre-trib rapture guy.  His articles always seem to end with hopelessness and I don’t see him “encouraging each other” with the words of our blessed hope, the rapture.

That being said, the topic of his article today is how the atomic scientists have moved the hands on the doomsday clock to the nearest point ever.  Even closer than during all the Cold War events.  All the signs seem to be lining up for the Great Tribulation, a time that would destroy all flesh on earth if Jesus didn’t put a stop to it when He returns at Armageddon.

Come Lord Jesus.  This world is not our home and events on earth are getting really ugly.

On Tuesday, we learned that the Doomsday Clock is now the closest that it has ever been to midnight…

Humanity continues to move closer to catastrophe, scientists said Tuesday, Jan. 27.

The human race is at its closest point yet to destroying itself, according to the reset of the ominous but symbolic “Doomsday Clock.” The metaphorical clock now stands at 85 seconds to midnight after advancing four seconds since last year’s reset.

The clock is now the closest to midnight since its introduction in 1947. It is updated each year by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, which organizes the assessment of how close we are to a self-inflicted end of humanity.

 How many years have I been warning about war with Russia and war with China?

In recent months we have deeply angered both of them by seizing international oil tankers, grabbing Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, threatening to impose exceedingly high tariffs on both of them, and gathering an unprecedented amount of firepower in the Middle East to potentially attack their ally Iran.

If we go to war with Iran, it will do a massive amount of damage to our relationships with both Russia and China.

This will especially be true if unconventional weapons end up being used in that war.

Tensions in the region are sky high at this moment, and both sides are ready to pull the trigger.

Once the missiles start flying, there will be no turning back.

If it was up to me, I would have set the Doomsday Clock even closer to midnight.

For decades, we have been warned about the horror of nuclear weapons.

I believe that we are living at a time when they will actually be used.

At the moment, the 342 million people that are living in this nation are working hard and trying to enjoy life.

But the truth is that the unthinkable is right around the corner, and the clock is ticking.

Europe Can't Defend Itself Without USA

 Trump has been doing a great job in getting NATO members to pony up or shut up.  I'm reminded of my high school economics class that introduced me to the concept of "guns or butter".  The simple idea is that every economy has to decide how much of their treasure they will spend on buying things that they want vs buying things they need to defend themselves.  

For too long America has been spending trillions on building our military to defend the free world while the Europeans spend their money on social services and rely on America to keep their enemies at bay.

Today we read that the Dutch prime minister, who is also the NATO chief, is saying that Europe can't defend themselves without America.

Europe cannot defend itself without the United States, says Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte - and he promises to continue praising President Donald Trump.

"He does a lot of good things. I will defend him now and then this afternoon just to annoy you," the NATO chief said of Trump during a committee appearance at the European Parliament.

Rutte thanks Trump for getting NATO countries to spend more on their defense. He also emphasizes the continued great importance of the United States.

"If anyone here believes that the EU and Europe can defend itself without the US, keep dreaming! Because we can't," the NATO chief said.

At the same time, he urges members of parliament to continue working on "military mobility" to facilitate border crossings, roads and bridges.

"It is extremely important that the bridges can not only carry my Saab - it is 20 years old now - but also a tank," Rutte said in Brussels.

How many of the MSM outlets will report this?  I'm guessing many of you haven't seen this because the MSM seems only concerned with headlines that denigrate Trump while ignoring any positive news about the good things he is doing.

Italy; “The Party of Muslims” Goes Public

 Watching what’s happening in Europe with Islam should be a wake up call for America.  Muslims are organizing and winning seats of political power.  And anyone who sounds out a warning is accused of being racist and/or islamophobic.  Islam is not compatible with Western civilization but the leftists who “never met a victim they didn’t love”, put Muslims on the pedestal of “oppressed” where they can’t be criticized or spoken poorly of at all.  Germany, France, Italy, Sweden and probably others have allowed so many Muslims into their nations that they will one day be ruled by Islam.

We believe that the one-world-religion will have Islam at its core.  The Pope now publicly says that Muslims and Catholics worship the same God and invited an Imam into the Vatican for prayers.

Keep looking up!  All these things are beginning to happen so our redemption must be near.

According to journalist Gary Fouse, who has translated dozens of Sorrentino’s investigations on Islam and migrant crime, there now appear to be fatwas being circulated against her after her reporting.

Jesus is NOT Isa from the Quran

 A few days ago my wife and I got a text from her cousin saying that he was de friending us because he needed to rid his life of anyone who voted for Trump.  He went on to say that he believes in a very different Jesus than we do. He used to be a youth leader at a church and he has lived with girlfriend for 8-9 years with zero plans of marriage.  His Jesus has all Muslims, all gays, all gender-confused and all fornicators and adulterers happily living with God in heaven for eternity.  His Jesus is crying that illegal criminals are being arrested in Minneapolis and his Jesus would be blowing whistles at ICE and harassing those agents until they left the state.

So friends, it’s a REALLY big deal that you are worshipping the correct Jesus!  Deception is already here and has invaded the church.  The Methodists and ELCA Lutherans may have been the first to fall into deception but other churches are now falling.  Chrislam likely will be a big part of Antichrist’s one-world-religion.  When pastors start telling their flocks that Muslims are worshipping the same God that is in the Bible, we can continue to look up…cuz our redemption is near.

Months ago, I had conversations with a pastor from a large Baptist church in Richmond, VA. He believes that Allah and our God are one and the same. He told me that Muslims see God through the lens of Muhammad, and that Christians see Him through the lens of Jesus Christ. This is heresy!

I am writing this piece so that you can be equipped to speak truth to those who are deceived. If a head pastor of a church of over 1000 people believes this lie, then surely there are many others. I am so grieved over this — mostly for the people in the congregations of these wolves.

Because this pastor is not adhering to the Word of God, he is vulnerable to being deceived in most every area of Biblical teaching. He is close friends with Brian McLaren — the father of the Emerging Church movement. The Richmond pastor has meditation and centering and other New Age practices on his website. He also states that God may or may not be a female!

“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. I will be taking passages from the Qur’an about Jesus – whom they call “Isa” – and then I will post Scripture which will expose the passages from the Qur’an as counterfeit. Should it surprise us that Satan would establish this religion? Satan always takes a little bit of truth, and then perverts it with his lies. He has been doing this since being cast from heaven by God.

“Walk With Jesus” Not Allowed

 While this article is about Britain and how they banned a “Walk With Jesus”, one can see how this is a story soon coming to America.  What would be the result if tens of thousands of Christians descended on Minneapolis and proceeded to march through the streets of “Little Mogadishu” which is where all the Somalians live and where you can hear call to prayer for Allah blaring?  Would Mayor Frey force the police to protect us and our legal right to march?  Or would the parade be banned before it started because Minneapolis officials would fear a confrontation between Muslims and Christians?

Britain has always claimed to be a land of faith and freedom--but those words ring hollow in Whitechapel. A planned "Walk With Jesus" march has been banned, not because it is illegal or violent, but because authorities fear it might offend others. Peaceful Christians are now being told they cannot proclaim their faith in public without risking arrest. This is more than a local police decision; it is a warning about the direction of an entire nation.

The Metropolitan Police's decision to halt the event, scheduled for January 31, centers on Whitechapel's large Muslim population. Organizers promoted the procession as a Christian worship event during what they called "the month dedicated to the holy name of Jesus." Yet, authorities deemed marching there "reckless," citing intelligence suggesting a hostile reaction that could lead to disorder. The march can proceed elsewhere--but not in the neighborhood chosen by the faithful.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner James Harman emphasized that the decision rested solely on public safety, not politics or offense. Anyone defying the ban would face arrest. But even framed as a safety precaution, the message is clear: in certain neighborhoods, publicly walking with Jesus is too dangerous for Britain to allow.

The troubling reality is that this ban sets a dangerous precedent for Christian expression. Public worship is no longer protected simply because it is peaceful and lawful; it is now conditional on whether it might provoke others. The message is unmistakable: if your faith risks offending someone, you must stay silent, stay home, or march somewhere "safe."

This is not neutrality--it is a surrender of fundamental rights. A nation that once proudly carried the name of Jesus through its streets, schools, and institutions now treats His name as a potential threat. When peaceful Christians are told they cannot publicly honor their Savior for fear of angering others, the very idea of religious freedom is eroded. Authorities are effectively placing the burden of tolerance on those who simply seek to live out their beliefs, while rewarding hostility with de facto control over public space.

Britain Tries to Figure Out How to Defend Itself

 Following WWII, most of Europe was destroyed.  So America was their defender.  But 80 years later some folks are wondering why America is spending $1 trillion per year when our allies are spending so little?  Trump is the dude who says, “how is that fair?  Pay your fair share!”

Today we see an article where leaders in Britain are realizing that they can’t assume a free ride on America anymore.

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey said the bonds would "give ordinary people the opportunity to contribute to Britain's security".

A spokesperson for the government said "new debt instruments" were kept under review but that they had to represent "value for money" and "be consistent with wider fiscal objectives".

Calls to increase defence spending have intensified in recent years, following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and the election of US President Donald Trump, who has frequently criticised Nato countries for failing to spend enough on their military.

The Labour government has pledged to raise overall defence spending from 2.3% to 2.5% of national income by 2027, at an estimated cost of an additional £6bn a year.

It has also promised to raise levels to 3.5% by 2035, in line with a pledge by Nato members last year.

Setting out his party's proposal, Sir Ed said: "Now is the moment to be clear-eyed about the threats facing Britain - Vladimir Putin is waging war in Europe while Donald Trump is tearing up the rules and alliances that keep us safe.

He said Britain and its allies "must rapidly strengthen our defences to deter the likes of Putin... it is much better to invest now in deterring a war than having to fight one".

The Liberal Democrats said the money raised from issuing bonds would be ring-fenced for defence and the investment would help deliver "growth, jobs and higher revenues" for the government "which would partially offset the cost of additional debt servicing".

The party added the scheme would need to be accompanied by an overhaul of the Ministry of Defence procurement process, which has previously been criticised as wasteful.

Their proposal, the party says, would be similar to the bonds scheme used during World War One and World War Two.

Individual citizens could lend the government money, which would be paid back in six to 10 years with interest. By the end of 1945, the scheme had raised £1.754m.
