You’re in Control of Nothing. India and Pakistan at War

We like to believe that we are in control of our own destinies.  But we really aren’t.  There is nothing you and I can do to stop a war between Pakistan and India.  And if they start nuking each other and cause the sun to go dark around the world for 10 years, there is nothing we can do about that.  The godless freak out about everything while those of us who know Christ realize that only HE is truly in control.

*******************

A nuclear war between India and Pakistan — which share a long history of conflicts — would not only result in 50 to 125 million direct fatalities but could jeopardize the entire planet, causing sharp drops in global temperatures and precipitation that could devastate the world’s food supply, according to a new study published October 2 in Science Advances.

The authors evaluated a simulated nuclear war scenario for the year 2025 between the two countries based on advice from policy and military experts. They find that if Pakistan attacks urban targets in 2025 with 150 nuclear weapons and if India responds with 100 nuclear weapons, depending on the size of the weapons, ranging from 15-kiloton to 100-kiloton, smoke from burning cities would release 16 to 36 teragrams of black carbon into the atmosphere, blocking out sunlight and cooling the global surface by 2 to 5°C (3.6 to 9°F).

Is it just a coincidence that they picked the year 2025?

If so, that is pretty wild, because a war between India and Pakistan has just broken out.

If you read the actual study, you will discover that it says that a nuclear war between these two nations would cause “mass starvation” around the world and it would take “more than 10 years” for the global climate to fully recover…

Pakistan and India may have 400 to 500 nuclear weapons by 2025 with yields from tested 12- to 45-kt values to a few hundred kilotons. If India uses 100 strategic weapons to attack urban centers and Pakistan uses 150, fatalities could reach 50 to 125 million people, and nuclear-ignited fires could release 16 to 36 Tg of black carbon in smoke, depending on yield. The smoke will rise into the upper troposphere, be self-lofted into the stratosphere, and spread globally within weeks. Surface sunlight will decline by 20 to 35%, cooling the global surface by 2° to 5°C and reducing precipitation by 15 to 30%, with larger regional impacts. Recovery takes more than 10 years. Net primary productivity declines 15 to 30% on land and 5 to 15% in oceans threatening mass starvation and additional worldwide collateral fatalities.

More Anti-Israel Protests at Columbia

If we give student visas to foreign students who want to come to America to receive an education that they can't get in their home country, shouldn't we expect them to be on their best behavior?  And if they aren't, shouldn't we just cancel their visa and send them home?

If we gave student visas to German men and they all formed THE NAZI PARTY of Harvard and started parading around campus with Swastika flags and making Jews very uncomfortable, doesn't it seem like common sense to send them home?

If we invite Muslims from other nations and they start calling for "Death for America!", and preaching the Islamic takeover of America and death to anyone who refuses to submit to Allah, wouldn't it seem fair and right to cancel the student visas and send them home?

Dozens of anti-Israel activists stormed Columbia University’s Butler Library on Wednesday only to find themselves trapped in a single room after university security staff confronted the protesters.

Wearing keffiyehs and chanting “Free, free Palestine” to protest Israel’s ongoing war against the Hamas terror organization, the demonstrators forced their way into the Butler Library at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, pushing aside a security guard.

Seizing control of the library, some protesters hung Palestine Liberation Organization flags and signs over bookshelves, defaced library walls, and scrawled graffiti on a glass case, while others beat drums and chanted anti-Israel slogans.

In the midst of the takeover, Columbia’s acting president, Claire Shipman, blasted the activists, adding that the university had no choice but to request that police arrest the demonstrators.

“Disruptions to our academic activities will not be tolerated and are violations of our rules and policies; this is especially unacceptable while our students study and prepare for final exams,” she said.

“Columbia strongly condemns violence on our campus, antisemitism and all forms of hate and discrimination, some of which we witnessed today.”

After the activists seized control over the library, university security guards cleared the main reading room of demonstrators, forcing them into a side room, where they were detained until police arrived on the scene.

Guards refused to allow protesters to leave the room unless they provided identification, with none of the demonstrators consenting to do so.

When officers reached the library, the roughly 80 protesters held in the side room were taken into custody.

The entire incident lasted roughly five hours, witnesses said.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said via X that any foreign nationals involved in the illegal protest would lose their visas and face deportation.

“We’re reviewing the visa status of the trespassers and vandals who took over Columbia University’s library. Pro-Hamas thugs are no longer welcome in our great nation,” he said.

Amen!  Pro-Hamas students from foreign nations should be sent home.

First American Pope...EVER!

Sounds like Pope Francis really liked this guy.  So we will assume he will continue in Francis' liberal ways and continue his social justice platform and also the softening of his remarks on sin.  "Who am I to judge?"....ummm, your the freaking Pope!  You supposedly speak for God and are infallible.  So which way do you want it?

Again, we have lots of problems with Catholicism as a religion.  But we do realize that Jesus will find his way through even the layers of religion and find those who are written in the Lamb's book.

As pastor Jeff Shreve recently said, "It's not about religion but relationship."

Prevost, 69, has spent most of his career as a missionary in Peru and became a cardinal only in 2023. He has given few media interviews and is a relative unknown on the global stage.

The late Pope Francis brought him to the Vatican in 2023 to serve as the powerful head of the office that vets bishop nominations from around the world, one of the most important jobs in the Catholic Church.

As a result, Prevost enjoyed a prominence going into the conclave that few other cardinals had.

One strike against him, however, was his nationality. There has long been a taboo against a US pope, given the geopolitical power already wielded by the United States in the secular sphere.

But Prevost, a Chicago native, is also a Peruvian citizen. Italian newspaper La Repubblica called him "the least American of the Americans" for his soft-spoken touch.

Prevost was also twice elected prior general, or top leader, of the Augustinian religious order, founded in the 13th century by St. Augustine. The order operates in 50 countries and has a special focus on a life of community and equality among its members.

Francis clearly had an eye on him for years, moving him from the Augustinian leadership back to Peru in 2014 to serve as the administrator and later archbishop of Chiclayo.

He remained in that position, acquiring Peruvian citizenship in 2015, until the late pontiff brought him to Rome in 2023 to assume the presidency of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America.

In that job he would have kept in regular contact with the Catholic hierarchy in the part of the world that counts still counts the most Catholics.

Ever since he arrived in Rome, Prevost kept a low public profile – though he was well known to the men who count.

Significantly, he presided over one of the most revolutionary reforms Francis made, when he added three women to the voting bloc that decides which bishop nominations to forward to the pope.

In early 2025, Francis again showed his esteem by appointing Prevost to the most senior rank of cardinals, suggesting he would at least be Francis’s choice in an any future conclave.

Rev. Mark Francis, a friend of Prevost since the 1970s, told Reuters the cardinal was a firm supporter of his predecessor's papacy, and especially of the late pontiff's commitment to social justice issues.

"He was always friendly and warm and remained a voice of common sense and practical concerns for the Church's outreach to the poor," said Francis, who attended seminary with Prevost and later knew him when they both lived in Rome in the 2000s.

"He has a wry sense of humour, but was not someone who sought the limelight," he added.

The Rev. Fidel Purisaca Vigil, the communications director for Prevost’s old diocese in Chiclayo, remembered the cardinal rising each day and having breakfast with his fellow priests after saying his prayers.

“No matter how many problems he has, he maintains good humour and joy,” Purisaca said.

If he continues on the path of his predecessor, telling folks that all paths lead to God, we will continue to say he would make a good choice for Satan's role of False Prophet following the rapture.

The Pope and His Lies

The Pope that died on Easter Monday could have played a part in leading millions astray.  We can’t help but think of Jesus’ warning that it would have been better for him to have tied a millstone around his neck and thrown himself into the sea.

The next Pope is being voted on right now and if the rapture is as close as many believe it to be, he may continue the false teachings of his predecessor and emerge as a candidate for the role of False Prophet.

*************************

*********************

At the outset, I must be honest and say those of us who hold the Lord Jesus Christ as the One and Only Way to Heaven and God the Father came down hard on Pope Francis, who passed into Eternity on what is termed Easter Monday, April 21.

The reasons for our being against this pope go far beyond our belief that the Catholic Church puts forth false teaching that varies in demonically inspired ways. This particular pope, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who chose the name Francis upon being elected as Pontiff following the resignation of Pope Benedict in 2013, consistently stated views he held that directly indicated he didn’t understand Jesus Christ to be the One and Only Way to Salvation.

My long-time friend and great Bible Prophecy teacher and broadcaster Dr. David Reagan listed for us this pope’s missing the mark about the Lord Jesus Christ and the Salvation issue.

> In May of 2013, Pope Francis said that atheists could go to Heaven “if they lead good and honorable lives.”

> In July of 2013, when asked if homosexuals could serve as priests, he replied: “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?”

> In November of 2015, he proclaimed that “Christians and Muslims are brothers and sisters.”

> In June 2016, Pope Francis issued his first video. In it, he expressed his belief that all the major religions are different paths to the same God. Following this shocking revelation, the video featured persons from different world religions expressing confidence in their various gods. The video then closed with the pope expressing his belief that regardless of religious profession, “we are all children of God.”

> In May of 2023, he emphasized “doing good” as the principle that unites all humanity. He added, “The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us, with the blood of Christ — not just Catholics. Everyone! Even the atheists. Everyone! … We must meet one another doing good.”

> In December 2023, he authorized priests to bless same-sex couples.

> The apostasy of Pope Francis was reinforced recently when he boldly proclaimed that there are many different roads to God. He made this declaration while speaking in Singapore in September of 2024. Specifically, he said, “There’s only one God, and each of us has a language to arrive at God. Some are Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, and they are different paths [to God].” Actually, this was nothing new for him. It was simply a more precise definition of what he had proclaimed in his infamous video of June 2016.

> The Climax of Catholic Apostasy

> These outreaches to world religions, regardless of the gods they worship, have now come to a climax with Pope Francis’ proclamation that all religions are roads to the same God.

> This proclamation makes a mockery of the sacrifice of Jesus. It also makes Jesus a liar when He proclaimed, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6). Further, it is directly contrary to the Apostle Peter’s declaration that “There is salvation in no one else [except Jesus]; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Half of Gazans Would Like to Leave

While the college kids are screaming, "from the river to the sea!  Palestine will be free!", we find that maybe 1/2 of the Arabs in Gaza would just as soon leave the place.

Here's something to think about that we have posited a few times;  America set up reservations for the indians that lost the war with America.  We have them all over the country and they are sovereign nations but yet still need to comply with most American laws.  If the indians on Pine Ridge reservation started shooting missiles into Rapid City and destroying the airport and then sent fighters into Rapid City where they raped, killed and beheaded 1200 citizens, there would be hell to pay and the US Government would quickly descend on that place and remove ALL form of explosives.

So why don't we understand what Israel has to do in Gaza?  They vacated that land in 2006 and all they received in return was missiles and terrorist attacks.  It's a God-forsaken land ruled by satan-filled idiots called Hamas and Israel has every right to wipe them off the map.

According to a survey conducted this month, almost half of all Gazans are willing to emigrate, and nearly the same number approved of the anti-Hamas protests.

The survey, carried out by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research, interviewed Palestinians in Judea and Samaria and Gaza between May 1 and May 4, six weeks after the IDF resumed its operations in Gaza following the collapse of the ceasefire.

The polling shows that 49% of Gazans wish to emigrate and are willing to apply to Israel for assistance, while 50% responded that they would be unwilling to do so.

Israel has prepared to facilitate mass migrations from the Gaza Strip, but the main challenge is finding countries willing to absorb the Gazan refugees.

According to the survey, 48% of Gazan civilians supported the anti-Hamas protests — a much higher number than in Judea and Samaria, where only 14% agreed with demonstrations against Hamas.

However, 54% believe the protests were organized outside of Gaza and had foreign influence, whereas just 20% say they expressed the will of Gazans.

In April, anti-Hamas protests erupted in Gaza despite threats of arrests and death.

Crowds of Palestinians marched in Beit Lahia, which is in northern Gaza, on Wednesday, chanting “Hamas out, out!” and “We don’t want a Qatari tent—we want to live in freedom.”

Other chants included, “Yes to love, no to terrorism, yes to peace,” and “Deliver the message… all of Hamas is garbage.”

One protest leader explained, “We want to live in peace—we don’t want more wars.” Based on videos of the protests, it appears hundreds may have been in attendance.

Israel has completed preparations for the migration of civilians from Gaza; what remains is finding countries willing to take them in.

Defense Minister Israel Katz has established a mechanism to assist 2,500 civilians daily in leaving Gaza.

The current population of Gaza is approximately two million.

The Ashdod Port is equipped to transport Gazans to other locations by sea, while Ramon Airport is ready to assist with air transportation.

The aerial route through Ramon Airport has already been used to transport 1,500 injured Gaza residents to other countries.

Another route for civilians to leave Gaza is through the Rafah crossing.

Here;  Half of Gazans want to emigrate, will seek Israel's help | World Israel News

There needs to be a new plan for Gaza and taking the Arabs out of there and moving them to other Arab nations may be the best plan going forward.

Supreme Court Upholds Military Ban on Transgenders

Another win for Trump as the Supreme Court upholds his ban on soldiers who have gender dysphoria.

I remember when my boys were in the Army and one of them came home from weekend training and I asked what they did.  I was hoping they shot guns or learned hand to hand combat.  But instead, Luke said,  "we watched a power point on showering with transgenders."

Good grief!  What a colossal waste of time and money!  The military should be about training our soldiers to fight in a war or defend our nation.  No wonder they had problems getting recruits.

So when Trump signed an order banning transgenders, the Left went to throwing a tantrum and they found lower court judges to block it.  But now the Supreme Court has upheld it.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed President Donald Trump to implement his ban on transgender people serving in the military.

The justices granted an emergency request from the Trump administration to lift a nationwide injunction blocking the policy while litigation continues.

The court's brief order noted that the three liberal justices dissented.

The decision is a loss for the seven individual transgender service members, led by lead plaintiff Emily Shilling, a Navy commander, who had sued to block it.

In a separate case, a judge in Washington, D.C. also blocked the policy nationwide, but the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit put that ruling on hold temporarily while it heard arguments on whether to block it more permanently. The court has yet to rule.

The policy, announced in February, is much more comprehensive ban than a similar proposal implemented during the first Trump term. It "generally disqualifies from military service individuals who have gender dysphoria or have undergone medical interventions for gender dysphoria," Solicitor General D. John Sauer said in court papers.

In asking the Supreme Court to intervene, Sauer said that judges are required to show 'substantial deference" to the Department of Defense's judgment on military issues.

In implementing the policy, the government relied on a Pentagon report from the first Trump term that said people with gender dysphoria are a threat to "military effectiveness and lethality."

The challengers argued in court that the ban violates the Constitution's 14th Amendment, which requires that laws apply equally to everybody, as well as other constitutional provisions.

Transgender service members have shown in recent years that they can serve just as well as anyone else, their lawyers said in court papers. President Joe Biden had rolled back Trump's earlier restrictions.

"An unprecedented degree of animus towards transgender people animates and permeates the ban: it is based on the shocking proposition that transgender people do not exist," the lawyers wrote.

A federal judge in Washington state blocked the policy on March 27, saying “it is not an especially close question.” The San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals declined to put the ruling on hold, prompting the Trump administration to turn to the Supreme Court.

Here;  Supreme Court allows Trump to implement transgender military ban

Of course the Left went to San Francisco to find a judge who would halt Trump's orders.

And of course, if you were a man who wanted to be a woman and you did enlist, it would be up to the taxpayers to foot the bill for any and all surgeries he wanted.

Thank you President Trump for attempting to put common sense back in America!

Israel Attacks Yemen

Another day, another group of Muslims who dream of killing all the Jews.

Yemen shot a missile into Israel that closed the airport in Tel Aviv.  Today Israel gave a response.

The Israeli military on Tuesday launched an attack on Yemen's Sana'a International Airport and other civilian sites, claiming they were used by Houthi militants.

The strike came two days after a ballistic missile launched from Yemen by the Iran-backed Houthis landed near Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces said on Tuesday that the central Yemen airport "is used by the Houthi terrorist organization for the transfer of weapons and operatives, and is regularly operated by the Houthi regime for terrorist purposes."

The airport strike led "to its complete shutdown," the IDF said. Israel also targeted power stations and a concrete factory, which it accused the Houthis of using to build tunnels and military infrastructure.

"This is another example of the Houthi terrorist organization's use of civilian infrastructure for terrorist operations," an IDF spokesperson said in a statement.

Avichay Adraee, the Israel Defense Forces' Arabic spokesperson, posted an evacuation warning on social media prior to the strike.

"We call upon you to evacuate the airport area -- Sana'a International Airport -- immediately and warn everyone in your vicinity of the need to evacuate this area immediately," Adraee said. "Failure to evacuate and move away from the place exposes you to danger."

They Aren't Pedophiles They're MAPs

 You aren't a sodomite...you're gay.  You aren't a drag queen...you're transgender.  You aren't a pedophile...you're a Minor Attracted Person (MAP).

By getting rid of a negative name and coming up with a new one, you can start to normalize, accept and then even celebrate your diversity.  Diversity is GOOD and isn't something you should be ashamed of!  In fact, you may even be able to claim victimhood status because, "I had to stay in the closet sooo long!  And now I'm free to be me!  This is how I was born and I'm not going to change how I was born!"

So today we read about a conference that is going to be held to teach folks how to accept and work with MAPS.

A conference for MAPs, or "minor-attracted persons," traditionally known as pedophiles, is set to take place in Ohio from May 2-4. The goal of the concerned is to teach attendees how to become "empowered to work confidently and affirmingly with MAPs." The conference is being run by B4U-ACT, a non-profit from Maryland.

The conference is designed to train mental-health providers in "affirmative MAP therapy," reports Christina Buttons for City Journal. "Affirmative MAP therapy" is the practice of encouraging those who are sexually attracted to minors to view their predilection as "an intrinsic part of their identity," she writes, instead of trying to cure them of it.

The program is called "Demystifying and Thriving: Understanding MAPs and Fostering Fulfilling Lives." It reads: "Although awareness of minor attracted persons (MAPs), their mental health needs, and effective therapeutic approaches to meet them is growing rapidly, many mental health providers feel unequipped to provide affirmative MAP therapy. This conference will allow attendees, both new and experienced, to have their questions and concerns addressed openly, and to become empowered to work confidently and affirmingly with MAPs."

The two-day program will address "the nature of attraction to minors, the multilevel stressors to MAPs’ mental health, their lived experiences and needs, and effective therapeutic approaches." There will also be "thought-provoking and practical sessions about topics such as day-to-day issues MAPs face, self-acceptance, and thriving."

Professionals who attend the program will get continuing education credits through the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.

Presenters at the conference include Murray Quinn, who lists pronouns as he/him and claims to be "a 20 something, Transmasc, Queer MAP." Murray "has been involved with the MAP community since 2014."

Friends, we are all born with sin.  Some people struggle with drunkenness, some with homosexuality, some were sexually abused as kids and then go on to struggle with the desire to abuse kids themselves.

But today we all want someone to affirm our deviant behavior and not tell us that we are doing anything wrong.  It is antithetical to the Gospel story.

What Has Trump Done Right in First 100 Days?

We have said it many, many times;  God is no respecter of nations.  If he wants to tear down America because of our 50 million abortions, because of our drug use and sexual perversion then "blessed be the name of the Lord."  We don't DESERVE anything just because we are America.

Just a reminder that God tore down Israel many times.  The 10 tribes in the North never had a good king and they all did wicked things, some worse than others.  So they got torn apart first.

But Judah, the Southern kingdom, would have a good king every once in a while.  He would "turn the people's hearts back to God."  Many times he would destroy the Asherah poles and destroy the temples of Molech.

Trump is certainly an imperfect man, but the fact that he issued an Easter decree and laid out a pretty clear Gospel message on his social media is a heck of a lot better than turning the White House into a gay pride flag on Easter...which is what Biden did.

And no one can deny that Trump is the greatest US president when it comes to supporting Israel.  So maybe America will get a blessing and be allowed to stay around until the rapture?  That would be how it may appear to our eyes, but of course God has always known the day of the rapture so the election of Trump didn't change God's time table one second.

So let's look at the great things Trump has done in his first 100 days.

President Trump sprinted to his 100th day of his second term on April 29th. His accomplishments have been unprecedented and extraordinary. I had the privilege of hearing the President speak on May 1st at the White House Rose Garden on America’s National Day of Prayer. Most of the Cabinet was there. I was sitting behind Adi and Yael Alexander - parents of Edan Alexander - the last remaining American citizen held hostage by Hamas who is alive. The President spoke about them at length and his efforts to free the hostages. He described in brutal detail the cruelty of Hamas. He said that the hostages were being kept in a “pipe” with little air. At the beginning of his term he got 33 Israeli hostages released (25 alive). Of the 50 hostages remaining, fewer than 24 are believed to be alive.

On Day 6 of his second term, President Trump made one of his boldest and most welcome announcements. He declared his relocation plan for Gaza. He said, “You’re talking about probably a million and a half people and we just clean out that whole thing.”

President Trump has done more than anyone to fight against Anti-Semitism on campus. He pulled 400 million dollars from Columbia on March 7th. Columbia caved to his pressure and has begun to crackdown on pro-Hamas protests and anti-Semitic actions. One of the main instigators of the pro-Hamas protests at Columbia, Mahmoud Khalil, has been put in detention and faces deportation.

President Trump has withheld 9 billion dollars from Harvard University and threatened to take away their tax exempt status unless they start to fight anti-Semitism. So far they have refused.

On his 101st day, President Trump signed a vital minerals deal with Ukraine, securing a strong American-Ukraine alliance. This is a big deal but President Trump does not get the credit he deserves for making this happen. There may have been a lot of theatrics but the bottom line is that both America and Ukraine are happy.

As President Trump did in his first term, he cut all funding to UNWRA. Members of UNWRA participated in the atrocities of October 7th , 2023. UNWRA held Israeli hostages in its facilities and stored missiles and other munitions for Hamas. America gave UNWRA 343 million dollars in 2022 and another 422 million in 2023. This is all American taxpayer money. This is a total abuse.

America gave the United Nations 13 billion dollars in 2023. America is the largest donor and supplies 28% of the UN budget. The UN has become a cesspool of anti-American and anti-Israel sentiments. President Trump plans to cut 1.6 billion dollars from the UN.

At the Rose Garden, President Trump said that enlistment in American Armed Forces was at a high. Before he took office, the Army, Navy and Air Force were having a difficult time getting recruits.

He is planning to build a “Golden Dome for America” missile defense system, invest much more in space exploration, and develop the next generation of F47 fighter jets.

Minneapolis Bans Discrimination Based on Height and Weight

Let’s say you’re a 400 lb lady who can’t really bathe or toilet herself correctly and would NOT be a pleasant woman to have around your clothing store in Minneapolis.  You better hire her and reinforce your handicap ramp cuz if you don’t you may find yourself in front of a transgender judge and an overweight-lesbian prosecuting attorney and they will hang you up to dry.

No wonder business is leaving Minnesota heading for South Dakota and other places that don’t sit around figuring out how to write another 200 pages of nonsense that make it hard to be an employer.

*****************

Minneapolis City Council has voted unanimously to expand the city’s civil rights protections, which will include a ban on discrimination based on a person's height and weight.

This week, the council voted 13-0 to establish three new protected classes under city law: people with criminal backgrounds, housing status, and height and weight.

The ordinance, which is supported by Mayor Jacob Frey, would outlaw discrimination in employment and housing based on these statuses. If signed, the ordinance would go into effect on Aug. 1.

Cities including New York and San Francisco have also made the move to ban discrimination based on body size, while the first such ban was passed by Atlanta in 2022.

"We have seen discrimination against our neighbors based on their unhoused status, impact by the criminal justice system, or the size of their body. The work that led to this ordinance, which has long been led by the community, will make a tangible, positive difference in the lives of our residents," Ward 9 Council Member Jason Chavez, lead author of the ordinance, said in a statement.

The ordinance was co-authored by Ward 2 Council Member Robin Wonsley.

The ordinance also expands the city’s definition of race to include skin color, certain physical features, and hair texture and style.

The definition of familial status would be expanded to include those residing with and caring for adults who are unable to care for themselves.
