Satanic Temple Sues States Over Abortion Bans

Let me explain...Abortion is a religious “ritual” that needs to be protected under religious freedom. Next they will argue that having sex with little children who “agree” to it should also be protected under religious freedom.  Also sex with goats should not be illegal or looked down upon by society.

“Good will be called evil and evil will be called good.”

************************

BOISE, Idaho -- Religious organizations have long been involved in the debate over Idaho's strict abortion laws, with Catholic priests, evangelical Christian groups and others frequently lobbying lawmakers and filing legal briefs in support of abortion bans.

Now The Satanic Temple is also weighing in. The Salem, Massachusetts-based group, which doesn't believe in a literal Satan but describes itself as a " non-theistic religious organization," sued Idaho in federal court late last week contending that the state's abortion bans infringe on the rights of members who may want to practice the temple's “abortion ritual.”

“Our members hold a sincere religious belief that they can and should have an abortion," in cases of unwanted pregnancies, W. James Mac Naughton, the attorney representing The Satanic Temple, said in a phone interview Wednesday. The organization filed similar lawsuits in Indiana last month and in Texas last year, and Mac Naughton said he wouldn’t rule out filing additional lawsuits in other states.

Forcing people to abide by one religious belief — that life begins at conception — and denying them the right to practice a different one — that everyone has the right to control their own body — violates religious freedom, he said.

“Abortion is a tricky enough issue as it is, but it just gets all inextricably intertwined with religious beliefs,” Mac Naughton said.

The Satanic Temple’s religious tenets include beliefs that people should have control over their own bodies, that the freedoms of others should be respected, and that scientific facts shouldn’t be distorted to fit personal beliefs.

The organization also has something it calls a “Satanic abortion ritual,” that includes the process of a person reminding themselves that their body is inviolate, undergoing the abortion and then reciting a personal affirmation.

A Woke Military is a Weak Military

A few years back we Conservatives knew with certainty that almost all of the soldiers, of all stripes, in the US Military were also conservatives.  We could take comfort in knowing that the military was “on our side” if the liberals in D.C. ever decided to crack down on us.  But now the White House has purged the conservative generals and are turning our military schools into the same woke, liberal factories as the other universities.  Words like “mom” and “dad” are simply too triggering to be used in the military anymore.  Tragic!  While soldiers from other armies are being taught how to wage war, our are being taught how to shower with a transgender without making “them” uncomfortable.

***************************

Our crew patrolled the Iron Curtain; were a conflict to break out, we knew we would be outnumbered in the fight by a margin of seven to one.  We weren’t just facing down an enemy army, though: As President Ronald Reagan stated, in facing the Soviet Union, we were facing a true “evil empire,” an empire whose foundation was not just tanks, or infantrymen, or nuclear warheads. Marxism formed the core of the communist lie we fought against.  Now, Marxism’s false, empty, and broken ideas – ideas that America defeated over 30 years ago – are taking root throughout our nation’s military. That’s unacceptable.  America’s military needs to wake up.

This sickness has most recently taken hold in the Air Force.  The United States Air Force Academy – the sister university to West Point – has created a fellowship program that excludes men who identify as men.  Academy cadets are being told to avoid committing “microaggressions” by replacing terms such as “you guys” and “terrorists” with terms that have been deemed “less offensive.”  Instructors tell cadets that they should use the terms “parent or caregiver,” instead of saying “mom and dad.”  You can say “partner,” but not “boyfriend or girlfriend.”  Under the Biden Administration, our Air Force cannot call terrorists what they are, yet considers “mom and dad” to be offensive language.  We have put pronouns over potency in our fighting forces.

It doesn’t stop with the Air Force. As I have discussed before, on its “Foundational” reading list for sailors, the Chief of Naval Operations Professional Reading Program included Ibram X. Kendi’s book, How to Be an Antiracist.  West Point, my alma mater, is now employing aspects of critical race theory in its administration and teaches critical race theory to cadets.

Critical race theory, wokeness, and similar Marxist offshoots propose that race, gender, and other arbitrary characteristics must determine relationships between people, even between soldiers.  They propose that racism is, supposedly, still concealed within the fabric of America’s military institutions.  Even communist nations today, such as the People’s Republic of China, reject such notions in their own militaries for the sake of military readiness and cohesion.

How can we ask young men and women who have decided to risk their lives for America, even die for America, to affirm that our country is inherently racist?  How can we ask them to view their brothers and sisters in arms through the narrow prisms of race or gender? The clear and obvious answer is that we cannot – not without putting their lives at risk on the battlefield.  A woke military is a weak military.  Unfortunately, woke and weak are exactly what our military is becoming under President Biden’s leadership.

There can only be one standard in our nation’s military: excellence.  Anything else undermines the core values of faith, honor, duty, and service to others that are the pillars of America’s military power.

When I think of excellence, I think of the young gunner in my platoon.  He was an immigrant who had chosen to fight for America.  I didn’t choose him to be my gunner because of who he was, or his background, or his race or identity.  I chose him because he could hit a moving target at a distance of three miles with a 105-millimeter round.  I chose him because he was good, because he was excellent and noble.  Not one person in my crew – not one – cared about race or identity. What we cared about was whether you could perform your duties with excellence under the greatest pressures imaginable. That’s what is at the core of a successful and powerful military: excellence. That is what our armed forces should center their training and standards around, just as they have for all of their existence.

People Will be Offended

This is pretty interesting and we haven’t spent much time thinking about it.  But we certainly have become a nation of offended people!  If you say or don’t say something, or you do or don’t say something you can be canceled, lose your job, lose your career or even lose your life.  Of course none of us in America remember such a time because there hasn’t been a time like this before where good is called evil and evil is called good.

********************************

When giving the signs of His return, Jesus listed something you may not have spent much time thinking about — offense. In Matthew 24:10, the  Lord said, “And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.”

There has never been a time when more people were more offended over more things than right now. Offense is everywhere in our day. People are offended by things both real and imagined; by words spoken and words unspoken. They are not only offended by your political affiliation, but even by the kind of car you drive. They are offended by names and by whole regions of the country. Most people today have a highly honed, well-developed sense of offense. And they keep it ever on alert, just in case.

Beware of this. Jesus said, offense is followed by betrayal and hatred. Those are happening, too.

Most of our society has been infected. We have made taking offense a sign of virtue, and we have shaped it into a fine art. It is one of the main things now taught in public schools, even though it harms both society as a whole and the individual children being taught. It infuses the music of our age, as well as other entertainments. Society reinforces it in the news media (left and right), in the home, and, yes, even in the church. What a sad thing!

Poking God in the Eye

We know that messing with God's land, Israel, is like poking Him in the eye.  If Biden is going to push to divide Israel and partition off another Muslim nation called Palestine, the consequences for America could be great.  As we mentioned in a previous post, a massive hurricane slammed into Florida 7 days after USA brought up the idea of a Palestinian state at the United Nations.  Dividing God's land should be left in the hands of God.

Could we actually see a Palestinian state be established within the next year or two?

Just this week, there have been some new developments that have been absolutely stunning.  For the first time in ages, both the president of the United States and the prime minister of Israel are openly calling for the creation of a Palestinian state.

But just a couple of years ago, it seemed like such a move was extremely unlikely.  Donald Trump was in the White House and Benjamin Netanyahu was the prime minister of Israel, and it was clear that a Palestinian state would not happen as long as either one of them was in power.

Now they are both gone, and everything has changed.

This is extremely alarming, because the creation of a Palestinian state is something that I have been warning about for years.

When it actually happens, it will have enormous implications for the entire globe.

During a major speech to the United Nations on Wednesday, Joe Biden told that world that the Palestinians are "entitled" to their own state...

President Joe Biden told the United Nations on Wednesday the Palestinians are "entitled" to their own state, a day after the U.S. State Department announced $64 million in aid to the U.N. agency for so-called Palestinian refugees.

"We will continue to advocate for a lasting, negotiated peace between the Jewish and democratic state of Israel and the Palestinian people," Biden said during his address at the U.N. General Assembly.

"The United States is committed to Israel's security - full stop. And a negotiated two state solution remains our best way to ensure Israel's security and prosperity for the future and give the Palestinians the state to which they are entitled," he said.

Of course this isn't the first time that Biden has said something like this.

Back in July, he made similar comments during a visit to the West Bank...

President Joe Biden reaffirmed his support for a two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians during a visit to the West Bank on Friday where he sat down with Palestinian leaders frustrated over lingering Trump-era policies.

"The Palestinian people, as well as Israeli people, deserve a state of their own that is independent, sovereign, viable and contiguous," he told reporters following a meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. "Two states for two people, both of whom have deep and ancient roots in this land, living side by side in peace and security, both states fully respecting the equal rights of the other citizens."

The Biden administration is 100 percent committed to the creation of a Palestinian state, and that has been exceedingly clear for a long time.

But up until just recently, Israel did not have a prime minister that was on board with such a move.

Unfortunately, Yair Lapid is in charge now, and on Thursday he also called for the creation of a Palestinian state in front of the UN General Assembly...

The future Palestinian state that will exist next to Israel must be peaceful and not terror-based, Prime Minister Yair Lapid told the UN General Assembly on Thursday afternoon, just before returning to Israel.

If that condition is met, then the best path forward is "an agreement with the Palestinians based on two states for two peoples," Lapid said.

This "is the right thing for Israel's security, for Israel's economy and for the future of our children."

Wow.

We always suspected that this is how Lapid felt, and now he is being very open about it.

During his speech, Lapid actually claimed that "a large majority" of the Israeli population agrees with him...

"Despite all the obstacles, still today a large majority of Israelis support the vision of this two-state solution. I am one of them," he said.

"Put down your weapons and prove that Hamas and Islamic Jihad is not going to take over the Palestinian state you want to create... and there will be peace," Lapid said.

Could that be true?

I haven't seen any public opinion polls on the matter lately.

But if most Israelis do want a Palestinian state at this point, that is a very troubling sign.

Russia Will Use Its Ally, a Nuclear-Armed Iran, to Better Threaten the West

We know that Ezekiel tells us to watch for Russia and Iran coming together in the very Last Days.  So articles like this from a secular news source shouldn't surprise us.  In fact they should serve to edify our faith in prophecy.

  • As one of the signatories of the original Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the flawed nuclear deal negotiated by the Obama administration, Russia, as well as China, will ultimately have a say in any new agreement that emerges from the Vienna talks.

  • Rather than seeking to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions, Beijing and Moscow are more interested in forming an alliance with Iran to counter what they denounce as America's unilateralism, and thwarting "draconian" US sanctions.

  • Given Moscow's open hostility towards the West, it is abundantly clear that the Kremlin wants to exploit the weakness of the Biden administration to ensure the negotiations provide an even more unsatisfactory deal than the one signed off by Barack Obama in 2015, one that completely fails to address the very real threat Iran's nuclear weapons will pose to the wider world.

  • From Moscow's perspective, having a nuclear-armed Iran, one that is Russia's ally, will greatly enhance its ability to challenge the West.

  • In return, Iran has formed a new "axis of evil" with Moscow, providing it with weaponry, such as sophisticated drones, to support its war effort in Ukraine, while at the time providing assistance to Tehran to evade the effects of Western sanctions.

  • While these two despotic regimes seem determined to forge an ever closer alliance, however, their objectives are completely at odds with the demands of their respective citizens, whose primary concern is securing their freedom, not supporting the military aspirations of the ruling elites.

  • There is growing concern in Washington that US President Joe Biden is preparing to sign a new deal with Tehran once the midterm elections have been concluded, and that his officials are prepared to sign a far weaker version of the deal than that originally agreed to in 2015.

  • That would be a grave miscalculation on the part of the Biden administration.

  • This should be the moment when the US and its allies are intensifying the pressure on both Iran and Moscow, not capitulating to their interests with a weak nuclear deal which will only encourage them to indulge in further acts of aggression against the West and its allies.

America Has Become Sodom

It wasn’t too many years ago that America was very upset about Ellen Degeneres having her first lesbian kiss on TV.  Turns out that was just the beginning of the slide into perversion that America has welcomed. There is a new movie coming out on September 30 called “Bros”.  It’s a comedy that will be playing at your local theater.  Remember, if Satan can get us to laugh at sin then he’s got us on the track he wants.  Watch the trailer at the link below.

Do You Suffer From Rapture Anxiety?

This CNN article is pretty interesting so hope you go to the link and read it all.  There are so many ridiculous falsities in it that I would say you could almost label it “fake news”.  Let’s also remember that as the return of Christ draws closer, more scoffers are expected to appear.  The fact that CNN chose to do an article on rapture anxiety might be counted as one more clue?

***************************

“Rapture anxiety,” as it is often called, is recognized by some faith experts and mental health professionals as a type of religious trauma. Darren Slade, the president and CEO of the Global Center for Religious Research, has been studying religious trauma across several faiths and denominations for years.

“This is a real thing. It’s a chronic problem,” he says of rapture anxiety. “This is a new area of study, but in general, our research has revealed that religious trauma leads to an increase of anxiety, depression, paranoia and even some OCD-like behaviors: ‘I need to say this prayer of salvation so many times,’ ‘I need to confess my sins so often.’”

“Now imagine,” he continues, “You are taught that at any minute, you could be left here on Earth. What does that do to the teenager who just had premarital sex, or even simply took the Lord’s name in vain?”

Experiences like Ajoy’s – a latent fear of an impending, inevitable end – are very common among communities of religious trauma survivors. On social media, former church members recall being tricked by church leaders into watching violent rapture-themed films or crying themselves to sleep thinking about people and pets that would be left behind when the end finally came.

The concept of the rapture, known theologically as dispensationalpremillennialism, is not prevalent in Catholic or mainline Protestant denominations like Episcopalianism or Presbyterianism, and is most commonly adhered to in evangelical and fundamental churches. This line of theology draws heavily upon a letter from the Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians, included in the Bible, that says believers in Jesus would be snatched or seized into the air.

Interpretations of this verse vary widely among Christian leaders, many of whom see it as a common example of poetic metaphoramong Paul’s writings. However, this striking imagery forms the basis of a lot of modern ideas about the rapture – so much so, Slade says it’s not uncommon for people with religious trauma to report having a fear of heights as they imagine their final ascent.

Survivors also cite the influence of fiction works, like the “Left Behind” book series and the 2000 movie adaptation, which they say were presented in their church circles as accurate glimpses into a post-rapture future. These works have reached such a level of infamy in these faith communities that some survivors say the descriptions of suffering and terror in the series greatly influenced their rapture-related fears. (There is a reason Ajoy’s initial thought of the guillotine seems oddly specific – it features in a graphic execution scene in the 1972 rapture film, “A Thief in the Night.”)

Slade knows just how deep modern rapture theology can go. As a Baptist preacher and religious scholar, he was surrounded by peers who would attend “end of days” or “end of times” conferences. These meetings, many of which are still held today, focus heavily on events in the Christian Book of Revelation, and attempt to connect scriptural elements with current events in the world. It’s why fringe groups are left in the lurch when predictions about the end of days don’t manifest.

However, Slade’s biblical studies eventually led him to an uncomfortable truth: The rapture, as it is taught in some Baptist, evangelical and fundamentalist communities, is scantly mentioned in the Bible. In fact, modern rapture theology only dates back to the 1800s

This and other realizations led Slade to leave the Christian faith and focus his energy on the academic side of religion. It was a devastating transition.

“I lost my family, I lost my community. I lost everything,” Slade says. Eventually, he was diagnosed with complex PTSD from his experiences.
