The Scary Generation Gap in America on Views of Israel vs. Hamas

 I think we all probably realize by now that public schools and college have been pushing all of our kids far to the left.  If they aren't leaning Democrat by the time they leave High School then college will finish the job.  Conservatives were too busy building businesses and working in business and left all the education jobs for Liberals to fill.  It's now a fact that the vast, vast majority of teachers lean far to the left and have bought into the idea of multiple genders, black lives matter, all are welcome here and LGBTQIA agenda.

So it should really come as no surprise that they have been telling our kids that Israel is bad and has been oppressing the Arabs of Palestine and that the "freedom fighters' from Hamas are waging a righteous battle against their oppressors.

While America strongly supports Israel and is horrified by the slaughter of more than 1,400 Jews, our college campuses and new polling reveal just how far off-course a generation of kids has drifted as they grew up being fed by social media and parented by our institutions.

This month's Harvard CAPS / Harris poll shows how wide the divide has grown. Asked whether they support Israel or Hamas, those over 65 years of age sided with Israel, 95% to 5%. The generations who in their day protested the Vietnam War and lived through the Watergate scandal now nearly universally side with Israel. 

Some of them may remember the 1973 War when Israel was attacked by thousands of tanks in a surprise multi-country invasion, as well as the subsequent attempts made by many American presidents to find a peace that would both recognize Israel and give Palestinians a state of their own. To them, the idea that they would side with an Islamic fundamentalist group bent on wiping out Jews and Israel is an absurdity.

Now let's look at the views of those ages 18 to 24. They support Israel over Hamas by the thinnest of margins, 52/48. These students were mostly born after 9/11 and have no memory of when America was attacked. They missed Schindler's List and have little or no connection to World War II and the Holocaust. They simply have little to no knowledge about the extermination of 6 million Jews in gas chambers and the post-war return of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland.

The Hamas attack and its slaughter of civilians by the bushel provided a moral brightline that exposes the moral decay on our campuses.

Asked the most basic facts about the controversy today, many of these young people fail the test. When asked if Hamas killed 1,400 innocent civilians, 32% of this college-age group say it never happened. 

A majority of 53% believe that Israel, not Hamas, has been ruling Gaza. And 45% believe that Israel bombed the Gaza hospital, despite all of the clear evidence to the contrary. Young people generally consume their news online, and the results underscore how easily our young can be misled.

We have allowed them to be schooled by professors who have filled their heads with the benefits of socialism, about how America is a structurally racist and defective society, and how free expression of opposing beliefs is "violence."

Although the United States has designated Hamas a terrorist organization since 1997, 10 years after Hamas's founding, 22% of voters (and 36% of 18- to 24-year-olds) did not think that Washington had designated Hamas as such. 

Voters said that the Israel-Hamas war was the 10th most important issue facing the country today. Price increases, inflation and immigration topped that list.

Some 70% of voters said it was watching the conflict closely (31% very closely), with 51% of those ages 18 to 24 following it closely. 

Although voters said overwhelmingly (58% to 42%) that students who blame Israel for the attacks are condoning violence and terrorism, a majority (55%) said law firms should still hire students who supported Hamas.

69% say that Iran was behind the attacks. (About 46% of 18- to 24-year-olds said Iran was behind the attacks.)

Sixty-three percent of voters still believe in a two-state solution, while 15% overall (and 26% of 18- to 24-year-olds) said that Israel should "be ended and given to Hamas and the Palestinians."

Robby Starbuck, a conservative influencer, noted that more than half of 18- to 24-year-olds believe that Hamas is justified, including in killing children. "If they're in power one day, I wonder what they'd feel justified doing to people who oppose them here?" he wrote of that age group.

More than half (57.5%) of Muslim American respondents to a new survey agreed that Hamas was at least somewhat justified in attacking Israel "as part of their struggle for a Palestinian state."

That group was about evenly divided between those who somewhat agreed (29.3%) and those who strongly agreed (28.2%), while 88.5% of Jewish Americans said that Hamas was not even somewhat justified.

The Anti-Defamation League has released a new report documenting a sizable increase this month in crimes and protests targeting Jews.

"Preliminary data from ADL Center on Extremism indicates that reported incidents of harassment, vandalism and assault increased by 388 percent over the same period last year," the organization said before laying out the numbers.

A map of the incidents shows clusters in various states and regions. In California, the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles featured high levels of anti-Israel rallies, some with support for terrorism. Numerous protests also took place around Detroit, near the state's 12th District represented by Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).

High levels of anti-Israel protests--some with overt advocacy for Hamas and outright hatred towards Jews--also took place in New England, New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland, which was marked by anti-Jewish and anti-Israel vandalism and harassment. Indiana and Ohio saw six and eight protests, respectively.

One of the great fallacies of the Liberal Left is that "diversity makes us stronger!"  This is actually a lie.  Muslims, by the millions, coming into America with an idea that Sharia Law should overthrow the Constitution and that Islam needs to dominate every other religion DOES NOT make us stronger.  Millions of people living in America and never learning to speak or read English DOES NOT make us stronger.  And millions of Americans who don't know what a "woman" is and believe that men can menstruate DO NOT make us stronger.

The Fear of the Lord is what makes our nation stronger and sadly that healthy fear is about all but snuffed out.

Another Day, Another Mass Shooting in America

LEWISTON, Maine —

Gunfire erupted Wednesday inside of a Lewiston, Maine, bowling alley as a children’s bowling league was underway. 

At least 20 people are dead and dozens of others are injured following a mass shooting across two locations Wednesday night, including at Just-In-Time Recreation, recently renamed from the Sparetime bowling alley.

Authorities have not said how many people were wounded inside of the bowling alley, but Dumont said she saw the bodies of several victims inside. 

Between the bowling alley and bar, ABC reports that the death toll has risen to at least 20, and dozens more are wounded. 

Officials with the Lewiston Police Department have named Robert Card, 40, of Bowdoin, as a person of interest in the shooting. An hours-long manhunt has come up empty-handed in the search for a gunman.

Hurricane Otis, Strongest Storm Ever Seen in Eastern Pacific

 Just another headline using the word EVER.  We’ve been watching these NEVER and EVER headlines increase these past 15 years.  Coldest EVER, hottest EVER, flooding NEVER before seen, a tornado swarm NEVER seen in the area, etc...

Today we have another talking about a massive hurricane that slammed into Acapulco.  Notice that they have to say something about climate change and how that must be the reason for WHY the storm gathered strength so quickly.  Bible readers know it’s all about the birth pangs and the earth groaning under the weight of sin.

Hurricane Otis ripped across Mexico’s southern Pacific coast as a powerful Category 5 storm early Wednesday, tearing through buildings in the resort city of Acapulco, sending sheets of earth down steep mountainsides and leaving large swaths of the southwestern state of Guerrero without power or cellphone service.

While little is known about possible deaths or the full extent of the damage — the main highway into Acapulco was impassable — experts are calling Otis the strongest storm in history to make landfall along the Eastern Pacific Coast.

By midmorning, Otis had weakened to a tropical storm, yet many on the coast were left reeling.

Flor Campos had been trudging through mud for more than an hour along a highway outside Acapulco before she peeled off her shoes, worried she'd lose them in the muck.

The domestic worker from a small town in Guerrero was among dozens of families, women and children who clambered over tree trunks and other debris left by landslides in the mountainous terrain. It was a daunting escape, but people were desperate to get out.

"We had been waiting since 3 in the morning to get out, so we decided to walk. It was more dangerous to stay. There are trees knocked down, power lines down," Campos said.

On Tuesday, Otis took many by surprise when it rapidly strengthened from a tropical storm to a powerful Category 5 as it tore along the coast.

Researchers tracking the storm told The Associated Press that the storm also broke records for how quickly it intensified, at a time when climate change has exacerbated devastating weather events like this one.

"It’s one thing to have a Category 5 hurricane make landfall somewhere when you’re expecting it or expecting a strong hurricane, but to have it happen when you’re not expecting anything to happen is truly a nightmare," said Brian McNoldy, a hurricane researcher at the University of Miami.

National Debt Spiral Starts Circling the Drain

We have written about this so many times warning of the day it would come, but it seems that day may be here.  The Federal government now has no choice but to borrow money simply to pay the interest on the debt they already have.  Think about a family that has to get a cash advance from one credit card to pay the interest on another...it’s unsustainable.  No nation in history can survive once their debt exceeds 130% of their income and we are there.  We aren’t sure how this will all go down but we are reminded that Jesus told us that the world will be pretty much normal right before the rapture, buying, selling, eating, planning weddings, etc...so we can hope that America stays intact until the trumpet blows.  Even now it may be solely the hand of God holding together our “faith And confidence” in the US Dollar.

With all the chaos and heartbreaking loss of life around the world today, few noticed the Treasury Department drop a financial bomb: The deficit for fiscal year 2023 was $1.7 trillion, growing 23 percent in a single year as the Treasury used $879 billion just to service the federal debt. But "Bidenomics" means the worst is yet to come, and multi-trillion-dollar deficits are the new normal.

The impetus for these massive deficits is federal government spending, which tipped the scales at $6.1 trillion last year. Government receipts, meanwhile, were $4.4 trillion, woefully short of the $5 trillion previously forecasted. A slowing economy and counterproductive tax increases were key drivers behind the $457 billion drop in receipts from the prior fiscal year.

Yet, even these reduced revenues would have resulted in a balanced budget if President Biden had simply allowed spending to return to its pre-pandemic level. Instead, Treasury outlays are up 38 percent today compared to pre-pandemic times.

That’s why it’s so deceptive for the Treasury to have recently announced that the deficit is $1 trillion lower than when Biden took office. Elevated spending levels in 2020 should have been one-time emergency measures, but the Biden administration institutionalized $6-trillion budgets by simply replacing pandemic-era outlays with the Biden agenda.

But just looking at the spending that is officially included in the last fiscal year is terrifying. It has resulted in a truly unprecedented level of federal debt: now more than $33.5 trillion. The breakneck pace of borrowing is increasing almost daily, with the Treasury borrowing $500 billion just in the first three weeks of the current fiscal year, which began Oct. 1.

As the federal debt and interest rates rise, the cost of servicing the debt has completely exploded, eclipsing all but two line items of the Treasury’s report: the Social Security Administration and the Department of Health and Human Services. Interest payments even surpassed all military spending in the bloated Department of Defense budget by $103 billion.

Could We Be Living Inside a Simulated Reality?

The Bible tells us, “only the unseen things are real.”  We also know that angels seem to come in and out of our reality and dwell in another dimension that we can’t see.  We also know that Jesus moved in and out of our reality once He traded in his old body for a new glorified body.  God said he “knew us before the foundation of the earth was created.”  All of this evidence might point to the idea that all that we experience and all that we do, see and feel are all electronic simulations in within a very advanced video game.  The 1999 movie, The Matrix, was based on this idea and we all know that Hollywood seems to prep people for what is coming.  Think about it.

Will Israel Use Nukes Against Iran and Hezbollah?

 We have pointed out numerous times that Isaiah 17, the total destruction of Damascus, has not yet happened.  We know that Iran has many assets in Damascus and we know that they have been playing with chemical weapons there, most likely ALL funded by Iran.

We also know that Hezbollah, in Lebanon, is totally funded and armed by Iran.  So if all the forces of evil come against Israel all at once, might Israel have no choice but to wipe out it's enemies or face their own certain destruction?

We simply don't know what we might witness before Jesus comes for us.  But we live in interesting times and there can be no doubt that we could wake up one morning to find out we are living in a totally different life than we were one day earlier.  Nothing is guaranteed on this planet.  Only the Word of God.

Is it possible that the war in the Middle East could eventually go nuclear?  If the fighting could have been limited to just Israel and Hamas, I think that there would have been a zero percent chance of Israel using nuclear weapons.  But now it appears that Hezbollah, Syria, Iran and potentially other parties are likely to get involved too, and that means that Israel will literally be fighting a war of national survival.  

If it gets to a point where the Israelis think that they could potentially be overrun by their enemies, they aren't going to leave their most powerful weapons on the shelf.

 

At this point, everyone knows that Israel has nukes.

"If Hezbollah decides to enter the war" the IDF hit it with such strength that "it will long for the Second Lebanon War," Netanyahu said.

It will be hit "with a force it cannot even imagine" with devastating consequences for both the terror group and Lebanon which hosts it, he said.

Other than using nukes, how could Israel produce such an outcome?

Fighting Hezbollah would truly be a nightmare scenario for the Israeli government.  Hezbollah possesses at least 130,000 missiles, and they are far more powerful and far more sophisticated than the missiles that Hamas has been using.

Can you imagine the horrors that we would witness if thousands of those missiles started raining down on Tel Aviv and Jerusalem?

This is not something that Israel wants.

But the Israeli government knows that Hezbollah will almost certainly enter the war once the IDF goes into Gaza, and so there had been talk of conducting a pre-emptive strike to take out those missiles before they could be launched...

The Israeli government is coming under growing pressure from security establishment hawks to launch a pre-emptive strike on Hezbollah in Lebanon - but is facing strong opposition from the US, which fears a two-front war would risk igniting a major regional conflict.

Since Israel struck back at Gaza after the Hamas attack on 7 October, the Lebanese-based Islamist militia group has repeatedly fired on Israeli settlements, leading to an Israeli evacuation of the northern border, including the town of Kiryat Shmona. The threat of a major Hezbollah offensive led to calls from hawks for a strike at its sizeable arsenal of missiles.

Of course if Hezbollah enters the war, it is inevitable that Iran will eventually get directly involved too.

In fact, Israel's Minister of Economy is specifically warning that "the head of the snake" will be cut off if Hezbollah declares war on Israel...

Israel last night vowed to cut off 'the head of the snake' and launch a military attack against Iran if Tehran-backed terror group Hezbollah joins the war.

In an exclusive interview with The Mail on Sunday, Nir Barkat, Israel's Minister of Economy, warned that Iran's Ayatollahs will be 'wiped off the face of the earth' should Hezbollah, their proxy terror group in Lebanon, attack Israel.

So how in the world could Israel possibly wipe them "off the face of the earth"?

Only by using nukes.

Needless to say, if either side actually decides to use weapons of mass destruction, everything will change.

Russia Says USA Will Not be in Center of “New World Order”

You can’t get any more prophetic than this!  We have a Muslim owned news source, Al Jazeera, reporting on a “new world order” and saying that America shouldn’t be at the center of it.  It then speaks of Moscow’s blooming alliances with Iran and North Korea!

We are pretty amazed at how most of the Democrats and Biden have supported Israel after the Hamas attack.  Biden recently went so far as to compare Putin to Hamas. “Hamas and Putin represent different threats, but they share this in common: They both want to annihilate a neighbouring democracy,” Biden said in an Oval Office address on Thursday.

Russia has criticised the United States president’s assertion that Washington must be the driving force in a new “world order”, saying such an “American-centric” vision is outdated.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday that while he agrees on the need for a “new world order”, he does not believe the US should be at the helm. Any new system should be “free from the concentration of all mechanisms of world governance in the hands of one state”, he said.

 Peskov was responding to a speech US President Joe Biden delivered on Friday in which he addressed the US engagement in foreign crises from Ukraine and Taiwan to Israel.

During his remarks, Biden said the “world order” of the past half-century was “running out of steam” and America needed to “unite the world” in a new order to forge peace.

“I think we have a real opportunity to unite the world in a way it hasn’t been in a long time and enhance the prospect of peace, not diminish the prospect of peace,” Biden said.

Peskov responded: “In this part we disagree because the United States, … no matter what world order they talk about, they mean an American-centric world order, that is, a world that revolves around the United States. It won’t be that way anymore.”

The clash of words reflects a deepening chasm between the two global superpowers, which are bitterly opposed over Russia’s war in Ukraine and Moscow’s blooming alliances with American archrivals such as Iran and North Korea.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the US has imposed wide-reaching sanctions on Kremlin-linked individuals and entities, and supplied Ukraine with tens of billions of dollars in humanitarian, financial and military aid.

Arab and Iranian social media channels are publishing footage in which, allegedly, UNIFIL forces, the peacekeepers in Southern Lebanon, are urgently evacuating their base in Naqoura on the border with Israel, in anticipation of war.

In this world, what people actually do is far more important than what they say.

In Iran, a black flag has been ominously raised above the Imam Reza Mosque.
