Would the Real Jesus Please Stand Up?

 Most of us who have followed Christ for sometime know that there is a huge difference in what we can believe about Christ's life and death, what we believe about sin, what we believe about Jesus being the only way.  But does it all really matter?

"Dennis, as long as we are saying the name of Jesus we can believe anything we want!  If I want to believe he was a nice man who showed up on earth to teach us all how to live and love then that's up to me!  I can believe whatever I want about Jesus and you can too!"

Ummmm....wrong.

"Many will say to me ON THAT DAY, 'but Lord, Lord!  Didn't we prophecy in your name?  Didn't we cast out demons in your name?'  And I will say to them, 'Depart from me!  I never knew you."

Pretty scary words coming from our Lord and Savior.

Obviously, IT DOES MATTER WHAT YOU BELIEVE ABOUT JESUS.  Because you might be worshipping a Jesus you made up in your mind who has NO POWER to save you.

I had this emailed to me today as did some of you.  It's from American Family Association and was first written in 1993.

Would the Real Jesus Please Stand Up?

I have met these people, many of them during the past 16 years. I know when it is coming. I can hear it (in the tone of their voices and in their suggestions on how I should act in order to be a good Christian). They all make about the same points. Here is a general outline of their suggestions.

• Jesus didn’t criticize people; therefore, I should not criticize those who are responsible for filth on television or who produce and distribute pornography.
• Jesus didn’t condemn anyone; He loved them. They usually point to the woman caught in the act of adultery on this one. They even quote Scripture: “Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more,” (John 8:11, KJV).
• Jesus lived His life so that people respected Him and sought to follow Him. As Christians, we need to live our lives in a similar manner. That means that we don’t disagree with anyone; rather, we try to convince him or her by our actions and not our words.
• Jesus made friends with everyone. He accepted everyone. He was even a friend to those with whom He disagreed. He didn’t turn them off simply because they disagreed with Him.

As a young minister, I read a story told by J. Wallace Hamilton, a preacher of note who died in 1968. According to the story, it seems that a not-too-dignified but somewhat successful preacher was preaching at a chapel service at a large respected university.

Now this preacher was not a good public relations person. He was somewhat unreserved and preached what many would call a straightforward, perhaps even blunt, sermon. I’m sure that you have heard that kind. He called sin…sin. Then laid out the plan of salvation. 

He just wasn’t a very tactful preacher; his bluntness offended some who were present.

Following his sermon, he was met at the back by one of the professors. Calling the preacher aside, the professor told him that he had preached a good sermon but that if he would change it just a little, not be so straightforward, that he could do so much more good.

“You know,” the professor said, “if you will search the Scriptures you will find that Jesus was the most loving, non-condemning, forgiving, helpful person who ever lived. I’m simply suggesting that you make your sermons as tactful as Jesus made his. It would really help your ministry.”

The preacher thought for a moment. “You think I need to be more tactful?” he asked.

“I think it would be a big help to your ministry,” said the professor.

“Was Jesus a tactful person?” the preacher asked.

“The most tactful person who ever lived,” responded the professor.

The preacher thought a little more then spoke: “Professor, please answer a question for me. If Jesus was the most tactful person who ever lived, how did He manage to get Himself crucified?”

The professor did not answer the question. 

CDC Says Gay Men Should Get New Vaccine

 In our previous post we quoted from Romans 1 that says that men who have sex with men will receive in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

We all know that all sin has it's consequences in our earthly bodies.  We may have accepted Christ and started the work of the Holy Spirit beginning to work in us to lessen our desire for sin.  But when we sin it still carries a consequence.  And sexual sin has a lot of consequences.  That's maybe why the Bible spends so much time warning us about it.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a health warning about an outbreak of meningococcal disease in Florida, which the agency said is mainly affecting gay and bisexual men, including those living with HIV. 

The CDC urged gay and bisexual men and other men who have sex with men to get the MenACWY vaccine if they live in Florida. It also recommended that those planning to visit Florida talk with their health care provider about getting the vaccine.

The agency added in the advisory that multiple meningococcal disease cases in college students have been reported in the state over the last few months. However, the CDC added that there is no evidence to suggest that the cases among college students are related to the larger outbreak.

Meningococcal disease is caused by a bacteria called Neisseria meningitidis and the CDC said that it is preventable and treatable. The advisory added that getting vaccinated is the best way to protect against meningococcal disease.

According to the CDC, the two most common types of meningococcal infections are meningitis, which is an infection of the lining of the brain and spinal cord, and bloodstream infection, both of which can quickly become deadly.

FDOH said its epidemiologists are investigating each case as well as contacting people with potential or direct exposure to known cases to provide them with information and treatment options.

It urged college and university students, immunocompromised individuals, people living with HIV and men who have sex with men to get vaccinated against the disease immediately.

Of course we see no mention of the CDC saying, "Gay-man sex is dangerous to your health.  We recommend for your own safety that you should cease this activity."  Nope!  Instead we see and hear, "If you are a man who has sex with other men, you should rush to Walgreens and get a vaccine so you won't contract a deadly brain disease when you continue to sodomize or become sodomized."

Good will be called evil and evil called good.

Let's also remember that the biggest sin that men commit is rejecting Jesus.  Gay men have the same opportunity as every other man to repent of their sin and accept Christ into their lives so that the Holy Spirit can begin to change the desires of their heart.  The same is true for lustful, fornicating and adulterous heterosexual men.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases in USA Surged to 30 Year High

 Here is some more evidence that shows America is plunging into decadence.  Also please note that LGBT people and minorities are leading the way on STD's.  But be careful in noting it because you could be labeled as racist or homophobic.

Official statistics showed there were 678,000 gonorrhea cases detected in 2020, the most since 1990

There were also a total of 144,000 cases of syphilis spotted in the country, which was the highest for 30 years

Total cases of sexually transmitted diseases fell in 2020 compared to the previous year, dropping six per cent

But CDC officials said this was likely down to a reduction in testing due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Gay men and people in black and American Indian groups had the highest rates of STDs in the country

Mississippi had the highest rates out of all 50 states in the US, followed by Louisiana 

Of the 33,000 participants, it found gay men were most likely to have an STD overall followed by straight men and women. It did not consider other sexualities.

We have lots of questions after reading this?  How can they really know what a gay man or black man actually is?  If the Supreme Court Justice can't answer what a woman is...how can the CDC know what a man is?  Very confusing.  I'm glad the CDC said they didn't consider other sexualities except men and women...probably because they actually know in their science-brains that there are only men and women.

And yes, gay men do receive in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.  

Do you know how many STD's are passed from one husband having sex with his one wife...even if they have intercourse every single day of their marriage??  0%

God's plan is best but there will be consequences when a nation forgets God.

US Inflation Rate Highest in 40 Years

 We all know it.  Prices on everything are skyrocketing.  I just looked into renting a Chevy Suburban in Montana the last week of August and was quoted a price of $5400.  Supply chain issues are one source being blamed as supplies aren't meeting demands.  Of course rising prices for gasoline and diesel are another reason since virtually everything we eat, wear and use is delivered via trucks that burn diesel.

So where does it end?  No one really knows.  But we do know that printing/creating trillions of dollars out of thin air these last few years is also adding to this problem.  It has to!

The Biden White House can only come up with one reason....Putin did it!!

The U.S. inflation rate jumped to 8.5 percent in March, a level not seen in 40 years, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data released Tuesday. The White House said Russian President Vladimir Putin is to blame for the shocking statistics.

The cost of living for Americans continued to climb last month. Inflation rose 1.2 percent in March, the highest monthly gain since 2005.

Among the highest increases was gasoline, which shot up another 18.3 percent, making up more than half of the cost-of-living increase last month. The cost of rent also increased 0.4 percent in March.

Over the past year, groceries rose 10 percent, energy jumped 32 percent, electricity increased to 11.1 percent and oil reached a staggering 70.1 percent.

The cost of airline fares, household furnishings and operations, medical care, and motor vehicle insurance also increased in March.

During a press briefing on Monday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki again blamed Putin for the rising inflation rate.

“We expect March CPI headline inflation to be extraordinarily elevated due to Putin’s price hike,” Psaki said. “We expect a large difference between core and headline inflation reflecting the global disruptions in energy and food markets.”

“The White House is now expecting shocking inflation numbers. Here’s the list of the Biden admin’s ever-shifting denial of reality about inflation: It’s not happening. It’s transitory. It’s a high class problem. It’s a good thing. It’s Putin’s fault,” Texas Sen. Ted Cruz tweeted. “It’s #Bidenflation.”

Of course the real danger is hyper-inflation.  That happens when Americans suddenly realize that they should rush out and buy everything that they can because it's all going to cost 50% more next year and the bank is paying them 0% to hold their money.  If everyone tries to buy everything at the same time prices go up...which causes even more Americans to buy everything...which causes prices to go up.  It ends up making a spiral which is near impossible to stop.

That's when the government would have to step in and say, "Dollars are no longer good for purchasing anything effective December 1.  The new currency we will use starting December 1 will be called Digital Treasuries.  These will only be available in digital form accessible from your bank card.  The banks will be transferring the value of you dollars into Digital Treasuries in the coming months and will be reflected on your bank statement."

You think this can't/won't happen in America?  Guess again.  The Bible says it is coming.  We just hope and pray that followers of Christ aren't around to see it all unfold.

We continue to focus on Jesus' words that people will be marrying, giving in marriage, eating, drinking, planting, building and things will be pretty much "normal" up until the day the trumpet blows.

Earth Has a 90-Day Food Supply

 Jesus warned us that there will be famines as His return nears.  Certainly we are right on the brink of a potentially cataclysmic famine that will affect the whole world.  The perfect storm of problems continues to build.

"But Dennis!  A famine could never affect America!  Famines are only for those poor folks living in mud huts we see in National Geographic!"

Sadly, there are a ton of Americans who believe that their lives will never change for any reason!  There will always be enough food, houses, gasoline, cruise ships, air flights, clothes, cars, trucks, guns, ammo, campers and all the shelves will always be full for them.

But what if the same God who caused a massive famine that forced all of Israel to go to Egypt and reunite with the brother Joseph...what if that same God is allowing a massive famine to encompass the earth as we slide into the days of the Antichrist and the Great Tribulation?

We are far closer to a potential global cataclysm than most people would dare to imagine.  Right now, leaders from all across the political spectrum are openly warning us that a worldwide food crisis is coming.  But when people in the western world hear of such warnings, most of them assume that it will just be something that affects poor people in Africa or Asia.  

Unfortunately, that will not be the case this time around.  We truly are in unprecedented territory, and we are going to see things happen in the months ahead that once would have been absolutely unthinkable.

Global hunger had already been steadily rising for the past couple of years due to the COVID pandemic, and now a confluence of events here in 2022 threatens to create a true global nightmare.

At this moment, we are still eating food that was previously grown, but it is the food that will not be grown in the months ahead that will be the real problem.

Because the truth is that we do not have much of a buffer to work with at all.

David Friedberg is an "early Google executive who started the farming insurance company Climate Corporation", and he just told the All-In podcast that the Earth operates on "a 90-day food supply"...

"The whole planet Earth operates a 90-day food supply, that means that once we stop making food, humans run out of food in 90 days."

It is estimated that approximately 7.9 billion people currently live on the planet, and feeding everyone is a real challenge even if everything goes perfectly.

Unfortunately, global conditions have been much less than perfect for the past couple of years, and Friedberg says that the new global energy crisis has pushed the cost of key fertilizer components to levels that are absolutely insane...

"The price of nitrogen has gone from $200 to $1,000, the price in potassium has gone from $200 to $700, and the price of phosphorus has gone from $250 to $700. So now it is so expensive to grow a crop, that a lot of farmers around the world are pulling acres out of production. So they're going to grow less this year than they would have otherwise because it is so expensive and they can not access fertilizer," he explained. "Food supplies are going to go down and it is going to be catastrophic."

Many farmers all over the world will try to grow food without fertilizer this year, but that will result in a whole lot less food being grown.

In one of his latest videos, Chris Martenson compared rice plants that were grown with phosphorus to rice plants that were not given any phosphorus.

I was absolutely blown away by the difference.

As global food production drops precipitously, there simply will not be enough food for everyone in the months ahead.

Without the promises of Jesus that he made for his followers, I believe I would be terrified!  No food, hyper inflation, wars coming, COVID could still come back, drug addictions, perversions, lawlessness, violence skyrocketing, economy crashing and dollar vanishing.  But all these things must happen!  But you brothers are not objects of wrath!  Jesus is coming for his bride!  He isn't going to allow the Father to beat the living crap out of His bride before the wedding.  It's not going to happen.

So our blessed hope is that we continue to lift up our heads and look for Jesus Christ while the world prepares for Antichrist.

“Even Their Women...”

 We have posted in the past about the huge rise in women teachers being arrested for sexual contact with their students.  How bizarre!  We weren’t around 100 years ago in America but we are going to wager that there weren’t any female teachers having sex with their students.  We believe it is a recent phenomenon raised out of our very perverse society.  We can’t help but think of Paul writing in Romans, “Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.”  We wonder if it’s another sign of impending judgment of our society when even our women have turned into perverts?

RICHMOND, CA – A now-former 35-year-old biology teacher was arrested earlier in April and has since been charged with 29 counts of various sex crimes involving minors, with prosecutors alleging there are at least seven underage victims involved in the case.

On April 6th, Anessa Paige Gower, who was reportedly a biology teacher at Making Waves Academy in Richmond, was arrested at her Sacramento home after she returned back from vacationing in Hawaii.

The Costa District Attorney’s Office claims that Gower had victimized at least seven minors between 2021 and 2022, allegedly engaging in “numerous” illicit acts with children that ranged from sharing sexually graphic photos online, inappropriate touching, to outright sex.

Officials have not released the ages or genders of the victims, but the school that Gower worked out of did host students from fifth grade to twelfth grade. Gower is currently being held on bail set at $1.9 million.
