Evolution Debate May Soon be History

According this top scientist the debate between Creationism and Evolution may soon be over....and evolution will be the clear winner.

NEW YORK — Noted paleoanthropologist Richard Leakey says scientific discoveries may soon make the debate over evolution a part of history.

The Kenyan-born scientist serves as a professor at Stony Brook University on New York's Long Island. He just spent a month in New York raising funds for his Turkana Basin Institute. He also helped promote a National Geographic documentary airing on PBS this month about his work at Turkana Basin in Kenya.

Leakey says the institute welcomes scientists, including students from Stony Brook, to Turkana to help unearth the origins of mankind.

He says he has no patience for those who deny the existence of evolution. He insists that within 15 to 30 years, skeptics will have to concede the evidence is overwhelming.

Well that's good that he has no patience for anyone who believes in Intelligent Design.  Sounds like a very open minded scientist.

Spain Now Circles the Drain

Everyone seems to be saying that if Greece falls they are afraid that Spain and Italy will be next.  In reality Spain is circling the drain because of their own home-grown mess with a real estate bubble.

Yes, Greece failing in the Euro will no doubt get people focused on the entire banking system...and Spain's banks are a problem.  So expect to see the bank runs start to hit Spain and Italy.  It is your classic loss of confidence.

What really has people worried is contagion: that if Greece goes then so will Italy and or Spain and those are problems that are not so easy to shrug off. However, it’s becoming a little clearer that contagion is not really Spain’s problem. It’s not that Greece potentially leaving is leading to people pulling their money out of Spain. Rather, Spain’s problems are home grown and are really only now becoming apparent. A little of Warren Buffett’s point that it’s only when the tide goes out that you can see who has been swimming naked.

All of which leads to an uncomfortable political truth. What’s happening in Spain is not contagion, therefore it is not a sufficient solution to provide a financial firewall through the ECB or some such. The place is going bust because of its own actions, not as a result of some infection from Greece. So a solution to the Greek problems, whichever way that works out, will not become a solution to Spain’s problems. And it’s very difficult from here in Europe to see anyone acknowledging that fact.

It certainly appears that God may be shaking the false god of Mammon...and his followers seem to be getting more jittery every day.

Nuclear Explosion in the Sky

We have spoken in the past about Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP).  If a single nuke was ever detonated above the USA it could make an EMP, and take down all of our power grids and fry all the circuit boards in all things from cell phones to cars.

And this situation could last for months.  Do you think the American public could live without electricity for months?

National Geographic has a video about EMP that you can watch here;  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPzIWsdnj0w&feature=player_embedded

Do you believe that Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran or North Korea might LOVE to take America back to the 18th century...which would certainly destroy us.

It is amazing how all of our lives just hang by a thread...but yet the more technology we get the more we seem to rebel against God...as if we aren't reliant on him to keep this whole world from spinning out of control.

Europe; No Plan and No Time

It certainly seems like Europe's fate is sealed.  It will come apart and it will be painful.  They don't want austerity and pain...so they will hope to kick the can down the road a few more weeks and hopefully make plans of how to minimize anarchy and war when it does come apart.

The article below is from the Wall Street Journal;

There have been two main responses to the crisis: austerity, and kicking cans down roads. Austerity, in case you haven’t noticed, is so last year. It’s out. Which means that unless something else is found, some other comprehensive plan, the other main response, can kicking, is going to run out of road.

Just about everybody backed the idea of eurobonds, except for the Germans, and since they’re the ones with all the money, they’re kind of the only ones whose vote counts anyway. So, it’s time to go to plan B. Only there’s no Plan B, and there’s no time, either.

This crisis was ultimately going to resolve itself in one of two ways: the Continent was either going to form a United States of Europe, or the euro experiment was going to fail. It appears to be going in the latter direction.

We’re finally coming to the moment of truth, the end game, the final countdown, if you will. After three years of incessant babbling and delay, it’s a nice, if scary, change.

Here;  http://blogs.wsj.com/marketbeat/2012/05/23/in-europe-time-for-plan-b-only-theres-no-plan-and-no-time/?mod=google_news_blog

Yes, change is always scary....but I agree with the author...after years of babbling and can kicking, let's just get on with it already.  Let's quit pretending that Greece, Italy and Spain are going to come up with some great idea to GROW THEIR WAY out of the fiasco.  It ain't gonna happen...as the author says, they are simply too far gone already.

Now...what about America?  Will we be able to GROW our way out of our financial fiasco?  Will we accept austerity when it comes knocking on our door?

Don't hold your breath.  Humans are humans no matter where they are in the world...and we simply don't like to take stinky medicine to cure what ails us.

Surprise! Iran Lied Again

Holy shocker!!  We were just all jumping around celebrating that Iran had finally seen the light and had invited the 6 major nations on earth to come talk to them about their nuclear ambitions and what the world can do to make sure Iran isn't cooking nuclear weapons.

And now just a few short days into it....Iran says they are done talking.  Dang it!!  We were so hopeful that THIS TIME they were serious about doing something constructive...and not simply playing us like a pawn to buy time to further their nuke cooking.

I guess you simply can't trust a Shi'ite Muslim government...who is allowed to lie if it furthers their own position and advances the Islamic Caliphate.

Iran on Thursday rejected the proposal from the P5+1 in talks over its controversial nuclear program.

Tehran and the P5+1 – the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany – were in the second day of talks in Baghdad seeking to resolve international concerns over Iran's nuclear program.

Iran criticized the proposal from the six-nation group, saying it makes too many demands of Iran while offering too little in return. Namely, Iran has said the only way forward in talks is the easing of sanctions on its vital oil industry.

Western powers rebuffed Tehran's call for an immediate easing of economic sanctions, saying they will not give up their key lever in negotiations with the Islamic Republic.

In turn, Iran accused world powers Thursday of creating a “difficult atmosphere” with its demands.
The P5+1 plan reportedly called on Iran to halt enrichment past 3.5%, ship its stores of 20% enriched uranium out of the country, and shut down its heavily fortified Fordow enrichment facility.

Here;  http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/156185#.T75CMtVYu8A

I wonder how many extra weeks this last charade gave Iran to move more of it's nuclear weapons program underground...thereby making it all the more difficult for Western powers, and Israel, to destroy?

U.S. Faces Sudden Collapse

Many of you probably are signed up for author Joel Rosenberg's Flash Traffic email service.  If you aren't, I would suggest you Google is and sign up for free.

In the email I just recieved this morning he talks about a U.S. Senator saying we face sudden collapse because of our debt.

"America today faces one of the greatest threats to its existence since our founding," writes U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, in his chilling book, The Debt Bomb. "The threat does not come from any foreign army or terrorist network, but from our own government and its unsustainable spending. If we don't change course in the near future - most likely the next two years - America as we've known it could soon be a shell of its former self. We could face a sudden economic collapse worse than the Great Depression, or we could enter an era of managed decline and waning influence."

Rosenberg then goes on to say this;

I'll be honest, I am deeply and increasingly concerned about the very real possibility that God will allow America's economy and society and collapse. It's by no means a foregone conclusion, of course. We've seen God rescue our country from the brink before, especially during the Great Awakening of the early 1700s and the Second Great Awakening of the early 1800s. I'm praying earnestly for a Third Great Awakening to come soon, and in the book -- and the simulcast -- I'll describe why I believe we desperately need such a powerful, sweeping move of God. But my concern is that if the Church doesn't wake up soon, and if America does not repent and plead with God for forgiveness and mercy soon, the Lord may very well remove His hand of grace from us in the not-too-distant future.

So let's all ask ourselves...what are WE doing to further some type of Great Awakening?  We all know that the U.S. is suffering from a famine, not of food or water but a famine of the Word of God.  No one knows it and no one seems to care.  What are we doing to encourage others to seek God and the salvation that Jesus offers?

I agree with Joel...if we don't get this country to wake up soon and get a healthy dose of FEAR for Almighty God....we are going to implode.

The End of Monogamy?

Since our President has now said gay marriage should be allowed in society...who long will it be before polygamy is welcomed in?   As I reflect on my cows in the backyard, I have one bull who is having sex with all 20 cows....so it could be argued that nature is AGAINST monogamy.  Who came up with the lousy idea that one man has to confine his affections to one woman?

Now watch this video from ABC NIGHTLINE that is titled "The End of Monogamy."

In it they show a bunch of twenty-something couples who are all in the habit of having sex with complete strangers.

Here;  http://abcnews.go.com/watch/nightline/SH5584743/VD55204654/nightline-521-swingers-hooking-up-with-strangers

Remember friends...societies collapse from WITHIN much more often than they collapse from the outside.

God's plan from the beginning was one man with one woman who then went about raising Godly children who would go on to raise their own Godly families.

It has been Satan all along who has been saying, "Did God REALLY say that?  Did God REALLY expect a handsome dude like you to only have sex with one old lady?"

And we now may already have an entire generation that is ready to throw in the towel on God's plan.

Syria's Mess Spilling Into Lebanon

Assad of Syria is not stepping down.  The place is a mess.  And messes have a way of spreading.

Let's remember that Syria funds the major terrorist organization, Hezbollah, which has it's headquarters and missiles in Lebanon.

BEIRUT (Reuters) – Gunmen clash in deadly street battles, protesters block roads with burning tyres and opposition politicians demand the prime minister’s downfall, denouncing the army as an agent of a foreign power.

Fragile Lebanon’s sectarian tensions, which festered for two decades since the end of its ruinous civil war, have been re-ignited by the turmoil in powerful neighbour Syria and threaten to plunge the country into a sustained period of unrest.

“There is now … a real threat of the conflict spilling over into Lebanon,” said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, a critic of Western and Arab hostility to Syria’s leadership.

On Tuesday, angry Shi’ites blocked roads in southern Beirut in protest against the abduction in northern Syria of a dozen Lebanese Shi’ites by rebels from the overwhelmingly Sunni Muslim insurgency against Assad.

“We are entering a phase of protracted instability in Lebanon. There is no direct way in which these events will be fully contained,” Eurasia Group analyst Ayham Kamel said.

Four Gulf Arab nations – Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates – have told their citizens to stay away from Lebanon, citing security concerns, and Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah said the “shadow of civil war” hangs over Lebanon.

The crisis is likely to hurt the summer tourism season, an important source of foreign revenue, and has helped push Beirut’s stock market index down to 1,154 points on Wednesday, 30 percent down from levels in April 2010 before domestic and regional unrest hit investor confidence.

Here;  http://www.euronews.com/newswires/1527134-syria-violence-shakes-lebanons-fragile-stability/

So it sounds like we have another classic showdown of Sunni vs Shi'ite playing out in Syria and Lebanon.  Of course they are both Muslim but their was a split between them that started soon after Muhammad died and they couldn't agree on his successor.  They have been fighting ever since...with some extended periods of peace...but it seems that the tension is always simmering right below the surface.

"He will be a donkey of a man: his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers."  Genesis 16:12

Of course the "he" in the passage is Ishmael...who ended up being the father of the Arabs...who have been in constant conflict with each other, and their brother Isaac (Father of Jews) ever since.

Where is the Gold?

What if you were an investor who bought a bunch of gold and then paid to have it kept in a bank...and then found out that the gold you thought was there wasn't really there?  You would have to wonder what the heck is going on.

According to one insider in Europe...that's exactly what is going on.  Could this be more evidence of a coming collapse?

“We are stressing to investors to take their gold out of the banking system, not only because there are runs on banks that will continue, but the risk of being in the banking system is major. So you should take the additional step of not just owning physical gold, but also owning it outside of the banking system.

We (just) had an example of a client moving a substantial amount (of gold) from a Swiss bank to our vaults, and we found out the bank didn’t have the gold. This was supposed to be allocated gold, but the bank didn’t have it. We didn’t understand why there was a delay (in our vaults receiving the gold), but eventually we found out why there was a delay (the bank didn’t have the gold). It’s absolutely amazing, but not surprising.
This confirms what I’ve always thought. Not only should you not have gold in banks or even unallocated gold, but even allocated gold. It seems that some banks don’t even possess that. So the risk of having gold in the banking system is major.”

Of course if this is true, it is simply more evidence that the dominoes are starting to fall in more places than just Greece.  It means that Swiss banks are selling gold to numerous people but don't really have the gold in their possession.

It would be akin to Bernie Madoff selling stocks to numerous investors so they all believe they own the stocks...but really Bernie isn't in possession of any stock.

Classic Ponzi scheme stuff.  But Bernie's scheme only involved $50 billion.  What if Europe's Ponzi scheme involve $trillions of fabricated sales?  This is the type of news that could crash the entire global economy into a depression...the likes of which haven't been seen in the modern age.

Is Superman Gay?

Many of us grew up watching the exploits of Superman in movies and cartoons.  He was always awesome..."faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!"

Of course he did wear those revealing, tight stretchy pants and he had a cape...which served no purpose in his flying ability.....

But yet he always seemed to be interested in Lois Lane...and he also seemed to team up quite a bit with Wonder Woman....

I am so confused!!!

Was he gay?  Was he Bi sexual??  Was he overly friendly with The Boy Wonder (aka "Robin")?

Maybe Superman has just been evolving...much like our beloved President Obama?

Could Superman be gay?

Honchos at Superman's comic book home, DC Comics, said this weekend that one of their most identifiable (but as of yet unnamed) straight characters will soon be coming out of the closet, according to a report.

At the Kapow Comic Convention held last weekend in London, DC co-publisher Dan DiDio said the publisher would be reintroducing a previously existing character who would now be “one of our most prominent gay characters," the website BleedingCool.com reports.

Didio said DC's position had shifted on the subject since he said in an interview last year that any homosexual characters would be new introductions, and that none of their existing characters' sexual orientations would shift.

DC vice president Bob Wayne likened DC's change in tune to President Obama's shift on gay marriage, explaining that DC's policy “has evolved,” the report says.

Holy gayness!!  Who could the character be that is going to come out?  Aqua Man?  Batman??  The Hulk???  No!!!  If it's anyone...please let it be Robin who also allows himself to be called "The Boy Wonder."

Of all my friends and I, who faithfully watched Superheroes on Saturday mornings...not one of us EVER wanted to be Robin...I'm just sayin'....

Opening the Door to Hell

Last March, Greek politicians promised the IMF and the central bankers of Europe that they would live by the budget (austerity) agreement they signed in exchange for receiving more huge loans.

Now the Greeks are having second thoughts as the pain from the medicine kicks in...and they have elected politicians who are promising them solutions which have little or no pain.

The ex-Finance Minister of Greece says in a recent interview that if Greece re negs on it's March agreement they will be 'opening the door to hell."

Wow...that sounds bad.

Greece's former finance minister has told Sky News that if Greece reneges on its bailout deal with the EU and the IMF it will "open the door to hell".

"People have had wage cuts, pension cuts, tax rises... and unemployment has gone through the roof - we need to respond to this," he told Sky News.

Interestingly, he admits there are elements of the bailout deal that he would seek to renegotiate but he says if Greece were to do what Syriza's leader, Alexis Tsipras, is proposing and fail to honour the promises the country has made in return for emergency funding then the results would be disastrous.

"The first thing that happens is the money (from the EU and IMF) stops flowing to Greece, the second thing that happens is people start worrying about their deposits in the banks, the third thing that happens is the banking system is in danger of collapsing and then you have to defend it even by sending in the army and the police on to the streets to avoid a bank run," he said.

Here;  http://news.sky.com/home/business/article/16231561

Holy anarchy!  The people have ALREADY started to run on the Greek banks and withdrew almost a $ 1 billion in the past week!  Does that mean collapse and a police state may soon be coming for the party-loving Greeks?

Could this be further foreshadowing for us party-loving Americans when the U.S. dollar starts coming under an attack of confidence?...when investors and savers start running on U.S. banks?

Hey...I wonder if that's why the U.S. Military has been quietly building detention facilities all over America this past decade....because they are going to need a place to keep lots of party-loving Americans who have so enjoyed living the good life off of borrowed money?

It's fun to spend money when it's not yours!...and it's NO FUN to pay it back.

Chant with me now..."We want more fun!  We want more fun!  We want more fun!"

There now, didn't that feel good?  Now go do your civic duty and vote come November....and remember to vote for the candidate who promises the most fun.

NAACP Supports Gay Marriage

Were you worried that Obama's announcement supporting gay marriage was going to threaten his votes from black people who are usually against gay marriage?  Well fear not!  The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has now come out in favor of gay marriage.

The NAACP announced Saturday the 103-year-old black civil rights group is supporting same-sex marriage.

The group's board of directors made the decision at a meeting this weekend, saying it was a "continuation of its historic commitment to equal protection under the law."

The decision follows President Obama's recent support of gay marriage, a move that threatened to divide key parts of the Democratic voting base -- the gay and black communities.

"The mission of the (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) has always been to ensure political, social and economic equality of all people," said Roslyn M. Brock, chairman of the board. "We have and will oppose efforts to codify discrimination into law."

Well that certainly makes sense...comparing the color of you skin to the actions that your mind chooses to make.  Yep, I get it!  (insert sarcasm and eye roll here)

Yes friends...it is coming like a flood.  This is a perverse and crooked generation.

Philippians 2:14-16

14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

Deadly Quake Hits Italy

Another quake has struck that is making headlines.  In earlier days this deadly quake would have been a news event that would have probably been in the news cycle for a week...showing the buildings destroyed and talking about the deaths and injuries.  But now that quakes are happening almost weekly this one might only be in the news cycle for a day.

SANT’AGOSTINO DI FERRARA, Italy — A magnitude-6.0 earthquake shook several small towns in northeast Italy, killing four people, knocking down a clock tower and other centuries-old buildings and causing millions in losses to the region known for making Parmesan cheese.

The quake struck at 4:04 a.m. Sunday, with its epicenter about 35 kilometers (22 miles) north of Bologna at a relatively shallow depth of 5 kilometers (3.2 miles), the U.S. Geological Survey said. Civil protection agency official Adriano Gumina described it as the worst quake to hit the region since the 1300s.

Here;  http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/europe/magnitude-60-earthquake-kills-at-least-4-in-northern-italy-cheese-region-topples-buildings/2012/05/20/gIQAPmq5dU_story.html

Yep...you read that one correctly....the worst quake to hit the region in over 700 years...but it will barely make the news cycle for more than a day.

What do you think is going on with all these strange earthquakes?  Oh well...probably all just one big coincidence that Italy is going bankrupt along with the rest of Europe and quakes seem to be happening in "various" places....so let's all just go back to sleep...nothing to see here folks.
