ELCA Descends Into Complete Apostasy

 As many of you know, I was raised and confirmed in the ELCA.  It was bad back in the 1970's as I look back at my "Christian" education, but now it's simply horrendous.  I hope they die a quick death so they can't lead more people into apostasy. 

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has taken more steps in it's rapid decline into apostasy as it appointed the denominations first transgender bishop.

Megan Rohrer was elected on 8 May to lead the Sierra Pacific Synod of what is the largest Lutheran institution in the United States with 3.3 million baptized members and over 8,900 local congregations.

The newly elected bishop will oversee around 200 local congregations in Northern California and Northern Nevada in the next six years, starting in July.

It was also announced that the bishop-elect should be addressed with the pronouns "they/their".

Rohr was the first transgender person to be ordained by the ELCA in 2006 and now makes "history", the pro-LGBT group Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries said. "We anticipate the day when all queer ministry leaders will be called to ministry settings without hindrance or barrier and will be affirmed in their God-given calls". 

According to this group, there are over 390 queer ministers in the ELCA at this point.

The ELCA is known for its strong theological shift in the last 15 years towards an "inclusive" theology, except when it comes to Israel.

Last year the Danish Bible Society, which is run by the Evangelical Lutheran Church, came under heavy fire for the Danish "translation" of the Bible that virtually wipes out "Israel" from the New Testament.

In the Greek New Testament, the word "Israel" occurs more than 60 times, however it is found only once in the new Danish version called Bibelen 2020. That's right, just once. And that one occurrence is a direct quote from an Old Testament verse. Otherwise, "Israel" is gone.

The reason for this the society argues is that Christian readers must not connect "Israel" in the New Testament with the nation of Israel today.  The ELCA has long promoted the idea of "replacement theology", also called supersessionism, which essentially teaches that the church has replaced Israel in God's plan. Adherents of replacement theology believe the Jews are no longer God's chosen people, and God does not have specific future plans for the nation of Israel.

The presiding "bishop" of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, The Rev. Elizabeth Eaton, has also expressed her belief that although Hell may exist, it is entirely empty because "God doesn't give up on those who reject Him." 

Two years ago, over 30,000 ELCA teenagers attended the ELCA's national youth gathering.  Popular ELCA pastor Nadia Bolz-Webber ((who loves to swear during her sermons and tells her congregants that their is nothing wrong with porn) led the students to say after her "I renounce the lie that queerness is anything other than beauty".  

At the youth gathering an 11-year-old boy who thinks he is a girl was put on stage to promote transgenderism.

This past summer the ELCA in convention passed an interfaith resolution stating that we do not know what God thinks of non-Christian religions.  A delegate got to the microphone to offer an amendment, saying that we do know because John 14:6 says that Jesus is the only way of salvation.  His amendment was voted down by 97 percent.

We remember what Jesus told Peter, "And even the gates of hell will not tear it down." when referring to the true church made up of Holy Spirit filled people.  So yes, the true church will always have it's remnant, but these social clubs made up of "good people doing good works" are exactly what Paul warned us against...""having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away....ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth"  2 Timothy 3:5-7

75% Increase in Anti Semitic Attacks in America

 We know that God uses persecution to draw the Jews back to the land he promised Abraham.  If they get too cozy in any country why would they leave?  So the fact that Jew hatred is growing in America isn't surprising.  It's sad that it's happening in America but it's not surprising. 

The recent wave of anti-Semitic attacks that swept across the US was sparked by the conflict between Israel and Gaza. But the underlying basis of the attacks having nothing to do with Israel was evident on social media in which the message “Hitler was right” peaked. 

The ADL recently reported that concurrent with the conflict in Israel, acts of harassment and vandalism, and violence surged in cities with large Jewish populations but also in less urban areas. They claimed a 75% increase in anti-Semitism reports to the agency after Israeli-Palestinian fighting began. The figure jumped from 127 incidents in the two weeks prior to fighting to 222 in the two weeks after violence broke out. Though couched in terms of anti-Zionism, previous Israel-Arab conflicts did not generate such a rise in anti-Semitism.

This was most evident on Twitter where variations of the phrase “Hitler was right” were posted more than 17,000 times (according to the Anti-Defamation League) in just a one-week span in May. In addition, the anti-Semitic hashtag #Covid1948 trended on Twitter in several countries, being shared up to 175 times per minute for over four hours on May 13. The hashtag, likening the birth of the state of Israel in 1948 to the COVID-19 virus, was frequently accompanied by blatantly anti-Jewish content. It often appeared alongside #FreePalestine and was associated with hashtags like #Hitlerwasright and #Zionazi.

Studies show that this disturbing online chatter can have real-world implications. In a  study published in the Jewish Journal, the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), reported that “extremist hashtags and slogans are upstream predictors of real-world violence and unrest.”

Professor Robert Rozett, a Senior Historian in the International Institute for Holocaust Research, explained that this recent violence was actually new seeds of hatred sprouting from “fertile ground.”

Yes, God might use persecution to draw the Jews out of the nations from which they have been scattered for 2000 years but God also promised to curse those nations who cursed Israel and the Jews.  So what will become of America if she starts to turn on Jews and our DFL leaders don't support Israel but instead support their enemies in Gaza and Iran?

Is US West Facing a Mega-Drought?

The Bible says there will be famine in the last days. Many times famine is brought about because of war, but what happens if God just shuts off the snow that melts and flows into the reservoirs that waters the fields of California? What if Lake Mead goes dry that waters all of “Sin City”, Las Vegas?  How can it be smart to move 60,000,000 Americans into a desert and have them all flush toilets, shower, wash cars and water golf courses?  We may soon find out.

Water Dries Up in Colorado River, Rio Grande 

The water situation in the western half of the U.S. is concerning, to say the least. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation released 24-month projections the week of April 11, finding the Colorado River would be drier than in typical years, reported CBS News (April 17).

The river is a major source of water for many regions in the U.S., and with less water running down from the Rocky Mountains, it appears unlikely that Lake Powel and Lake Mead will capture enough water to fully support businesses and citizens living nearby.

Meanwhile, the Rio Grande may go dry in 2021 for the first time in 30 years as federal water managers outlined a scenario with little rainfall, below-average snowpack, low soil moisture levels, and warm temperatures. The waterway is a major source of irrigation for thousands of square miles of farmland in New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico, reported CBS News (April 15).

BLM Founder Resigns After Learning Ugly Truth

BLM doesn’t really care a snitch about making life better for black lives. If they did they would be protesting the fact that 94% of all blacks who are shot and killed are killed by other blacks. They would also protest about the little black kids shot to death by stray bullets fired by blacks in gang, drug and turf wars.  But you won’t see it. They exist only to riot and loot when a white cop is involved in killing a black man.  They are the very definition of a racist organization. PTL that their mask is coming off and support for BLM is falling.

A Black Lives Matter chapter founder in Minnesota has resigned, claiming that the organization isn’t concerned about helping black communities or helping improve the education quality in Minneapolis, according to a video published last week.

Rashard Turner, the founder of a Black Lives Matter chapter in neighboring St. Paul, said he started the branch in 2015 but became disillusioned roughly a year after becoming “an insider” within the left-wing organization, according to a video released by TakeCharge—a group that rejects various provisionspromoted by Black Lives Matter, including critical race theory-linked claims that the United States is inherently racist.

“After a year on the inside, I learned they had little concern for rebuilding black families, and they cared even less about improving the quality of education for students in Minneapolis,” Turner said in the video.

“That was made clear when they publicly denounced charter schools alongside the teachers union. I was an insider in Black Lives Matter. And I learned the ugly truth. The moratorium on charter schools does not support rebuilding the black family. But it does create barriers to a better education for black children. I resigned from Black Lives Matter after a year and a half. But I didn’t quit working to improve black lives and access to a great education.”

The UFO Set Up

 Sorry for all the UFO blog postings these past few months.  But when the most powerful nation to ever exist on earth starts revealing that THEY have known about aliens and UFO’s for decades and only now do they want to share that info with us, that’s a pretty big deal. Of course we believe it’s one more end-times deception and may be pointing to how very close we are to the rapture.  So of course when Rapture Ready makes UFO’s part of their Nearing Midnight weekly column, we just had to share it all.

The UFO Set-Up

My friend, the late Dr. Chuck Missler, once wrote a book with the title Alien Encounters. He asked Douglas James Mahr to write the foreword for it. Mahr was author of the 1985 release, Voyage to the New World, an immensely popular book at the time that went a long way toward making New-Age thinking mainstream in the entertainment community.

Mahr tells that he was once totally immersed within the New Age movement. He became close friends with actress Shirley McClain and helped her while she worked on the 1988 TV film Out on a Limb.

It was the story of Ms. McClain’s coming to embrace the New Age movement and become the movement’s chief Hollywood proponent.

Mahr, by the time of the publication of Missler’s Alien Encounters in 1997, had apparently become a believer in Christ. He wrote the following as part of the foreword for that book:

It’s all about the war. An invisible war. A cosmic contest which may, indeed, engulf the planet Earth in ways that very few have any capacity to anticipate. Anyone who has been watching the news, or has been profiling the entertainment media, realizes that our society is increasingly being con­fronted with the “invisible” world—and what was once the domain of science fiction and the lunatic fringe, has now become the preoccupation of serious scientific investigations and has also become a major centroid of policy within the clas­sified government community…

There is a cosmic deception being orchestrated and you are one of its targets…

Mahr was seemingly prescient in his declaration. We are witnessing almost precisely the reality wrapped up in his words: “It’s all about the war. An invisible war. A cosmic contest which may, indeed, engulf the planet Earth in ways that very few have any capacity to anticipate.”

For years, Hollywood presented films like The Day the Earth Stood Still, The War of the Worlds, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and many others. Sightings, even by presidents of the United States, were reported of unidentified flying objects and other phenomena that appeared to be extraterrestrial. Yet the whole time, news organizations, government officials, military officials and every other entity within officialdom pooh-poohed these as imagination or as something of non-importance.

Project Blue Book, the U.S. Air Force official look into the UFO and USO (Unidentified Submerged Object) reports, was shut down with more or less the declaration that there wasn’t sufficient evidence to probe further. All that has suddenly changed. It seems even our government is taking notice. And the sudden interest comes at a fascinating time—when most every prophetic indicator for the coming Tribulation era is in view. We who observe these indicators appearing at the same time call the phenomenon “convergence.”

There is to be coming soon a release of reports that have been kept from the public for decades. The following excerpt explains.

There are reasons to be skeptical. After decades of stonewalling on the issue, suddenly American military chiefs appear to be giving credence to claims of UFOs invading Earth.

Clips purporting to show extraordinary flying technology have been “confirmed” by the Pentagon as authentic. The Pentagon move is unprecedented.

The videos of the Unidentified Flying Objects were taken by U.S. air force flight crews or by naval surveillance and subsequently “leaked” to the public. The question is: were the “leaks” authorized by Pentagon spooks to stoke the public imagination of visitors from space? The Pentagon doesn’t actually say what it believes the UFOs are, only that the videos are “authentic”.

A Senate intelligence committee is to receive a report from the Department of Defense’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force next month. That has also raised public interest in the possibility of alien life breaching our skies equipped with physics-defying technology far superior to existing supersonic jets and surveillance systems…

The military people who take the videos in good – albeit misplaced – faith about what they are witnessing are not the same as the military or intelligence people who see an opportunity with the videos to exploit the public in a psychological operation.

Fomenting public anxieties, or even just curiosity, about aliens and super-technology is an expedient way to exert control over the population. At a time when governing authorities are being questioned by a distrustful public and when military-intelligence establishments are viewed as having lost a sense of purpose, what better way to realign public respect by getting them to fret over alien marauders from whom they need protection? A legitimate question is: Considering all the things we’re witnessing—in convergence of indicators for the windup of this Age of Grace—might the sudden desire to alert the public to planet earth’s likely being visited by extraterrestrials have a luciferian purpose at its heart?

I’m thinking, of course, of 2 Thessalonians and the “lie” people who have rejected the truth of Christ and salvation will believe when they’re sent “strong delusion”—by God, Himself!

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thesssalonians 2:10–12) ­

So the question to consider is whether the sudden UFO information release has prophetic significance in this regard. Could it be but one more indicator of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline? Is this but one more item being used by Satan and his minions to set up earth’s inhabitants for when the Church is gone in the Rapture and the Antichrist is revealed?

I believe it is quite possible that this is the case.

Remember that in Revelation chapter 12, Satan and his fallen horde are kicked out of Heaven for the final time. In Revelation 13, the False Prophet calls down fire from Heaven in the sight of the first beast and of the world’s populace. Might this be the long-anticipated “space brothers” the False Prophet will claim come to earth to save the planet?

Certainly no developments we see almost hourly in these strange times should be off limits for consideration as to prophetic significance. The present UFO hubbub is no exception.

And when you see all these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your head, for your redemption draws near. (Luke 21: 28)
