American Suicide; The Fate of America

 Great video here by Dr David Reagan.  As he says, some in the church today think God is sitting on the throne draped in an American flag and only serves to bless America and would never judge or destroy it. But God put it on Dr Reagan’s heart that a destruction of America is coming because God blessed us more than any other nation.  We had churches on every corner, a Bible in every house, freedom of worship and for last 30 years preachers on TV, radio and even internet.  And yet we have not only rejected God but we actually extend our middle finger and tell him we want nothing to do with him.  It is my belief, and many others, that judgment has started.  That’s why our nation is falling apart and can’t even think straight anymore.  We can’t even define what a woman is...but yet send two cross-dressers from Biden’s crap parade to Europe to represent us.

To Keep Them Alive in Famine

 As we watch the poor nations of the world start to struggle with food shortages and famine, we are meditating today on Psalm 33 from our daily Bible reading.  We know that there are many promises in scripture about those who fear the Lord. So here is one of them.  But we are wondering if there has ever been a time when God-fearing people have been decimated in a famine?  We know that many African nations have faced famine over the years but they are Muslim and pagan nations.  We know that there was a potato famine in Ireland in the late 1800’s that forced many Irish to leave and head to America.  So here is the passage and tell me what you know and think.

No king is saved by the size of his army;
    no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
    despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
    on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 to deliver them from death
    and keep them alive in famine.

The Intelligence of the Intelligent I Will Frustrate

 Paul quoted Isaiah when he said that one day God would take the most intelligent folks and make them seem like idiotic fools.  It would appear that this has come true in America today.  For 6000 years of human history, even the most simple among us in the human race, knew that their were 2 genders, male and female.  Men had penises and testicles which produced testosterone and made them hairy and bigger framed and muscled than females.  Females had breasts to feed babies and were the only gender who could grow a baby in their womb!  God made them male and female.  But now the most educated among us are saying “not so fast!”

Imagine the horror and embarrassment of being a man who did his best to live like, and identify as, a female.  You die and are laid in the ground where the bugs consume your flesh.  Hundreds of years later some archeologists dig up your bones and announce, “Yep, skeleton is that of a 60 year old male.”  You scream from the abyss, “No!  My pronouns were she/her!”  Thankfully, today’s archeologists are “woke” and realize the problem.  They are trying to change this so that some poor Neanderthal male who identified as female, won’t have to be labeled the same as his birth gender.  No, I’m not kidding.

Intelligence has been frustrated.

University of Kansas Associate Professor Jennifer Raff argued in a paper, “Origin: A Genetic History of the Americas,”  that there are “no neat divisions between physically or genetically ‘male’ or ‘female’ individuals.”  Her best selling book has been featured on various news outlets like MSNBC.

Weiss has criticized the book as “just plain wrong” critical points of history and objects that Raff seems “eager to pay homage to every current progressive orthodoxy.”

However, Raff is not alone. Graduate students like Emma Palladino have objected  that “the archaeologists who find your bones one day will assign you the same gender as you had at birth, so regardless of whether you transition, you can’t escape your assigned sex.”

Professors Elizabeth DiGangi of Binghamton University and Jonathan Bethard of the University of South Florida have also challenged the use of racial classifications in a study, objecting that “[a]ncestry estimation contributes to white supremacy.”  The authors write that “we use critical race theory to interrogate the approaches utilized to estimate ancestry to include a critique of the continued use of morphoscopic traits, and we assert that the practice of ancestry estimation contributes to white supremacy.”

The professors refer to the practice as “dangerous” and wrote in a letter to the editor that such practices must be changed in light of recent racial justice concerns.

America and Armageddon

 I had a twenty-something man deliver me 8000 lbs of corn from the feed mill and auger it into our grain hopper this morning. As he was standing there operating the auger I asked him, “Are you running out of corn?”  He said, “It’s sure dwindling.”  Then we launched into food shortages, violence in the cities, cops quitting or just not responding to theft and violence calls and empty food shelves coming later this year when Wheaties cost $8 per box.  As he drove off I thought again about how interesting it is that so many common, simple folk from the country can understand what’s going on and that America is on the precipice of collapse.  But yet the smartest folks in the world can’t tell you the difference between a man and a woman?

I find myself thinking frequently about the verse in Corinthians where Paul is quoting Isaiah;  For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”

Now watch this video from another simple man who knows his Bible and gives us a quick lesson of how Venezuela collapsed and how our leaders seem to be taking us down the same track.  Notice also that he thinks we are near the time for Jesus to return.  The simple, country folk who know the difference between a cow and bull understand!

Epic Housing Crash Could Rock America to it's Core

 No doubt an ominous headline from a guy who used to manage billions of investment company funds.  He has been warning of an USA meltdown since the 2007-2009 near meltdown.  So while some say he is the "boy who cried wolf" because he is always saying things are going to crash, he has been consistent in his warnings.

Remember that prophet Jeremiah warned Jerusalem for 40 years that unless they changed paths, they would be destroyed.  I'm guessing after about 15 years of warnings that never came to pass, people started ignoring Jeremiah and kept on eating, drinking, partying, planting, building and had no clue that Babylonians were on their way to destroy them.  Pretty sure they mocked the messenger, Jeremiah, as well.

Today we read about his warnings surrounding the real estate bubble and how bubbles always seem to end up popping.

You may not want to buy a house right now.  What goes up must eventually come down, and we have just entered the "down" side of that equation.  Over the past two years, home prices in the United States have gone up nearly 40 percent.  

Now mortgage rates are rising at a pace that is truly frightening, and they are likely to go even higher in the months ahead as the Federal Reserve continues to fight a relentless war against inflation.  

Needless to say, higher mortgage rates mean higher potential mortgage payments for prospective home buyers, and so millions of Americans are being priced out of the marketplace right now.  The only thing that is going to bring those buyers back into the marketplace is for home prices to go down, and that is already starting to happen in some areas of the nation.

We were already in a historic housing bubble heading into 2020, and over the past two years we have witnessed another housing bubble develop on top of the previous housing bubble.

Overall, home prices in the U.S. rose 37 percent between March 2020 and March 2022.

That is insane.

And what we are witnessing in Boise is really alarming.

Boise was once one of the hottest markets in the entire nation, but now sales are dropping faster than Joe Biden's approval rating...

Before governors relaxed stay-at-home orders two years ago, white-collar professionals were already fleeing their exorbitantly priced apartments in cities like San Francisco and Seattle. The biggest beneficiary of that WFH homebuying wave was undoubtedly Boise--where home prices skyrocketed 53%. You could even call it the poster child of the pandemic housing boom.

But that Boise honeymoon is over. While spiking mortgage rates have pushed the overall U.S. housing market into a slowdown, it has delivered a particularly hard blow to the Boise housing market. That has seen both Boise home sales plummet--down 28% on a year-over-year basis--and inventory levels surge--up 161% this year. It's also chipping away at home values. According to Zillow, the median Boise home sales price fell 3.5% in June.

This downturn is going to have enormous implications for home builders as well.

Sales are falling, and a key measure of home builder confidence just declined for the seventh month in a row...

The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index, which measures the pulse of the single-family housing market, fell for the seventh consecutive month to 55, the lowest level since May 2020. It is the second-biggest, one-month decline in the survey's 37-year history.

The only time that the index has fallen more in a single month was during the very early stages of the COVID pandemic.

National Association of Home Builders CEO Jerry Howard fears that things will continue to get worse in the months ahead, and he is warning that "we're going to go into a recession" unless something dramatic happens...

"For the last seven straight months it has been going down and this is a huge drop - and I think all it says is, 'Somebody do something or we're going to go into a recession,'" Howard said.

I am sorry to tell you this Jerry, but we are already in a recession right now, and it is going to get really bad.

Our leaders have been making decisions that have been mind-numbingly bad for a long time, and now we are all going to suffer the consequences.

If you are searching for an easy way out of this mess, you can stop looking, because there isn't one.

What we are heading for is going to make 2008 and 2009 look like a Sunday picnic, and it will shake our nation to the core.

Ouch!  Yes, it's true, our leaders have been making really bad decisions and spending money as fast as they can print it.  That practice simply can't go on forever.

Of course 0% interest rates for over 10 years cooked massive bubbles in lots of markets, including real estate and now that 0% party is over!!  Mortgage rates last year might have been 2.6 but now they are crowding 6% and this will force force the huge real estate bubble to deflate.  How far??  No one knows.

We continue to hope that Jesus is coming for His bride before chaos, anarchy and melt downs happen...because if that happens people won't be eating, drinking, planting, building and planning marriages as they were in the days of Noah.

Twin Cities Overflowing With Crime

 It’s like Dennis Prager recently said, “Leftists ultimately ruin everything.”  That sure seems to be coming true in Minneapolis and St Paul, which are both run by Democrats and far Left folk.  For months the citizens of the cities were heard screaming “F..k the police!”  Next we heard demands to get rid of police and replace them with social workers. “Hey Karen, we got a call about 1 am and some dude is beating the crap out of his girl.  Would you please respond to 50th and Broadway and see if you can offer them some relationship counseling?  We think Tyrone was probably mistreated when he was young and deep down is a really good person but he just needs to be heard. Good luck!”

So now Minneapolis and St Paul have lost hundreds of cops.  And lawlessness is the direct result.  Doing stupid things will win you stupid prizes.

A St. Paul restaurant owner whose establishments have been targeted by criminals on numerous occasions has once again expressed frustration with high crime and inadequate police staffing in the Twin Cities area.

At a U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Committee hearing on Tuesday, Brian Ingram testified to a wide variety of incidents targeting his restaurants: windows shot out and shattered, criminals using his parking lot as a gathering place, and robbers casually stealing the purses and car keys of employees.

“Crime has now become a daily part of life. All seven of my restaurants and offices have been robbed numerous times, on many occasions by the same criminal,” he said. “The same criminal would be released within 24 hours of robbing my restaurants, then show back up a few weeks later to rob me again.”

Ingram noted before the committee how late night dining at his restaurants has collapsed because patrons don’t feel safe.

“Minneapolis has become a ghost town. I was recently offered a restaurant in Minneapolis for one penny, and I said no to it,” he added.

Further issues affecting Ingram and his businesses include a general epidemic of shootings around the Twin Cities area, as well as the proliferation of drugs such as fentanyl. Ingram said one of his kitchen managers recently passed away after accidentally overdosing on fentanyl.

“Our hope is that all of you will come together and figure out how we stop crime in our cities before our cities are gone,” he said.

Ingram was invited to testify by Rep. Tom Emmer of Minnesota, who sits on the House Financial Services Committee. In his opening statement, Emmer explained how rampant crime creates a vicious cycle of customers feeling unsafe, which leads businesses to close, which creates unsightly vacant buildings that only breed more crime.

“Americans should never, never feel this level of unsafety in their own communities,” Emmer said. “We must return to a society of law and order.”

Ingram’s appearance at Tuesday’s hearing was hardly the first time he has called on public officials to do more to curb violent crime. In May 2021, after one of his restaurants had been burglarized for the sixth time in as many months, Ingram criticized “catch and release” policies and begged prosecutors and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter to do their jobs.

“I’m asking again for Melvin Carter to step up and do something. How are you leading our city? We need you,” he said in a video posted to Facebook at the time. “We need you to stop talking about what you’re going to do in the future. I need you to talk about what you’re going to do to help crime in our city right now.”

Russia, Iran and Turkey Continue to Move Closer Together

Just like the Bible said would happen in the very Last Days.  Russia is HUGE in the news as they threaten to cut off Europe's fuel and threaten NATO with nuclear war if they play their cards wrong.

Israel and Biden just shook hands on making sure Iran never gets a nuke.  Israel has war plans drawn up for Iran.  Meanwhile Russia just told Israel to "back off" bombing Iranian assets in Syria.

Turkey?  They are a strange duck.  But clearly their orbit seems to be heading more towards Russia and Iran than towards their one-time allies at NATO. They try to play both sides to their advantage.  Just recently they said they wouldn't allow Sweden of Finland to join NATO because of those nation's support for the Kurds, which Turkey considers rebels.  But just a few days ago Turkey allowed them to join.

"And so in 1952, Turkey joined NATO, hoping to bolster its aspiration to a Western identity and to ensure its security, especially against an ascending Soviet Union. It was the first expansion of NATO after its founding in 1949.

That makes the problems NATO is having today with Turkey all the more curious. Once fearing the Soviet Union, Turkey now is out of step with NATO policies in its friendliness with Moscow, buying Russia's weapons and refusing to join U.S.-led sanctions against the Russian government."

And now we see Putin and Erdogan meeting in Iran and shaking hands with the Muslim freak that rules that country.  It all seems to be coming together exactly as Ezekiel saw.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to travel to the Middle East this week, demonstrating Russia is fully committed to countering US alliance building efforts on the global stage.

Putin's move comes on the heels of US President Joe Biden's trip to Israel and Saudi Arabia. As the world media covers Biden's visits to Jerusalem, Jeddah and Riyadh, Putin is set to visit Tehran on July 19. He will be joined in Iran's capital by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to meet with Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi, nicknamed "the butcher of Tehran" for having sentenced tens of thousands of people to death over the years.

Putin has met with the leaders of these two nations several times over the last few years to solidify ties, increase trade and find common ground on issues such as Syria.  The main item on the agenda of their meeting will to broker an end to the 11-year Syrian civil war which will detail the role each will continue to have in the country and surrounding areas. 

Both Iran and Russia have already been in the news this last week showing their deepening co-operation as Iran announced it will supply Russia with hundreds of drones and train Russian forces in how to use them. Previously, such drones had only been in the hands of Hezbollah and Hamas. Now, they are undoubtedly headed for Ukraine. 

Russia in turn is lining up behind Iran diplomatically. Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian recently visited Russia, and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov said he is committed to seeing the removal of all sanctions on Tehran and the restoration of the 2015 nuclear deal.

Despite being a part of NATO, Islamic Turkey has been drifting into Russia's orbit for years and every year gets a little closer as it feels rejection from the European Union and diplomatic disputes with the US.

Each of these developments are significant in the world of Bible Prophecy.

Six centuries before the crucifixion of Jesus, Ezekiel foretold of a future invasion of Israel (Ezekiel 38-39). He said it will occur in the last days (Ezekiel 38:16). It will come from north of Israel (Ezekiel 38:15; Ezekiel 39:2), and it will involve a coalition of nations led by Russia (Ezekiel 38:2). The nations Ezekiel cited include:

Rosh = Russia

Magog = Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan

Persia = Iran

Cush = Sudan

Put = Libya

Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Beth-togarmah = Turkey

Pretty amazing to watch this prophecy come together over the past 15 years.  Pretty amazing that God saw fit to share things with humans that would happen 2600 years after they were written down.  Pretty amazing how few of folks on planet earth know anything about Ezekiel 38.  Pretty amazing how few people will have oil in their lamps when the shout and trumpet-blow happen in the middle of the night

Menu for Rest of 2022; War, Pestilence, Famine

 To many of us Bible readers, it does seem that we are living on the edge of the abyss.  We are about one shock wave away from the USA going into melt down.  And of course when that happens the rest of the world will go into melt down as well.

When could this all happen?  Of course it will only happen in God's perfect timing, however it does seem as if the perfect storm has brewed up and is just waiting for the first lightning bolt to strike and kick the entire super-storm into high gear.

Would a war with China be enough to spark the storm?

Enjoy this summer while you can, because global events will soon escalate to an even more alarming level.  Needless to say, if 2022 ended right now it would be remembered for a lot of really bad things.  Prior to this year, we didn't have a war in Ukraine, nobody was talking about monkeypox, inflation was a relatively minor concern, food riots weren't erupting in poor countries, and we weren't facing the prospect of a very painful recession.  

So much has happened in the last six months, but I have a feeling that the next six months are going to be even crazier.

 How could that be possible?

Well, how about another major war?  On Thursday, Yair Lapid and Joe Biden signed "a joint pledge" that expressed their shared intention to do whatever is necessary to keep Iran from getting nuclear weapons.

During a joint appearance following the signing, Biden made the position of the U.S. government very clear...

Biden said Iran has an opportunity to accept the agreement that is before them. "If they don't, we made absolutely clear: we will not, let me say it again, we will not allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon."

Of course U.S. officials have been saying similar things for a long time.

But now the IAEA has officially announced that Iran "possesses enough fissile material to construct a nuclear bomb", and so the time to put up or shut up is here.

Israel has been practicing for a strike on Iran, and I am sure that Lapid and Biden extensively discussed the possibility of such a strike happening in the months ahead.

When that day finally arrives, Iran will inevitably hit back really hard, and then a conflict will start that will be really difficult to stop.

Meanwhile, U.S. relations with China continue to go downhill very quickly.  On Tuesday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken once again found a way to really anger the Chinese...

The Biden administration reminded China on Tuesday that the US will intervene to defend the Philippines if Manila's vessels come under attack in the South China Sea.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken made the warning in a statement on the anniversary of an international tribunal ruling that sided with the Philippines against China in a territorial dispute in the South China Sea.

And then on Wednesday, a U.S. Navy destroyer sailed into disputed waters near the Paracel Islands...

China is fuming after the US Navy on Wednesday sailed a destroyer near the China-controlled Paracel Islands in the South China Sea. The Navy's 7th fleet said that the guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold was in the region and passed near the disputed island chain to uphold "the rights, freedoms, and lawful uses of the sea."

Speaking of death, the global famine that we were warned about is already here.

According to the head of the UN World Food Program, the number of "acutely hungry people" is now at an all-time high...

The spike in food, fuel and fertilizer prices sparked by the war in Ukraine is threatening to push countries around the world into famine, bringing "global destabilization, starvation and mass migration on an unprecedented scale," a top U.N. official warned Wednesday.

David Beasley, head of the U.N. World Food Program, said its latest analysis shows that "a record 345 million acutely hungry people are marching to the brink of starvation" -- a 25% increase from 276 million at the start of 2022 before Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24. The number stood at 135 million before the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020.

We are already seeing an alarming number of people starve to death in some parts of eastern Africa.

Sadly, this even includes very young children...

Ijabu Hassan has had no chance to grieve the deaths of her children. She's had to focus on keeping the others alive. Her four-year-old and five-year-old died from malnutrition in their inland town of Burhakaba, victims of a record drought that has propelled Somalia to the brink of famine.

Faced with starvation, Hassan took her remaining eight children and began the 15-day trek to reach the capital, Mogadishu. Towards the end of their journey, her two-year-old daughter collapsed and died. They buried her along the way.

It should break your heart to hear of very young children starving to death.

Unfortunately, this is just the beginning.

That's a whole heap of really bad news.  It would be scary news too if we didn't know Jesus.  We continue to look for our Saviors because he told us to!  "When you see all these things beginning to happen, look up!  For your redemption is near."

Maybe his return will be in 2022?  Let's be busy and let's be ready.

Mall Shooting

 The news today is that a dude walked into a mall in Indiana and started shooting up a food court.  A 22 year old man with a conceal and carry license pulled out his gun and confronted the shooter and shot him dead.  That sounds like a bad news-good news story.  The mayor is calling the 22 year old man a "hero" and also the word "good samaritan" is being thrown around.  But not so fast, says those on the Left!  It turns out the mall may have had a "no guns allowed" policy!  So how can you be a "good" person if you broke the rules and brought a pistol into the mall??

Such is the world we live in.

The suspected gunman in the Indiana mall mass shooting carried two rifles, a pistol and more than 100 rounds of ammo, authorities said Monday, and the “good Samaritan” who fatally shot him is credited with saving “countless lives.”

Three people were killed at the Greenwood Park Mall outside of Indianapolis on Sunday. Two others were injured and the gunman is also dead.

The suspected shooter was identified by officials as Jonathan Douglas Sapirman, 20, of Greenwood. Sapirman entered the Greenwood Park Mall and went into a restroom near the food court about 4:54 p.m. on Sunday, Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison said Monday.

Sapirman stayed in the bathroom for 62 minutes, then exited and began firing into the mall's food court with a 6 Saur rifle, killing three people.

The victim's were identified as husband and wife Pedro Pineda, 56, and Rosa Mirian Rivera de Pineda, 37, both of Indianapolis; and Victor Gomez, 30, of Indianapolis.

Elisjsha Dicken, 22, of Seymour, Indiana, was at the mall shopping with his girlfriend, saw the shooter, and within minutes of Sapirman first opening fire, returned fire with a handgun and killed Sapirman, Ison said.

“We grieve for the victims of yesterday’s horrific tragedy in Greenwood,” the statement said. “We are grateful for the strong response of the first responders, including the heroic actions of the Good Samaritan who stopped the suspect.”

For all of those people running for their lives in the mall I bet they are glad that this 22 year old man confronted evil and stopped a really bad man from killing many others.  It takes a good man with a gun to stop a bad man with a gun.  Evil is only going to get worse as the return of the Lord nears.

Texas Ranchers Line Up to Sell Cattle Amidst Drought

 Strange events keep happening that affect our FOOD supply.  The wheat crop failed in Texas because the drought in all of Texas is so bad. This has helped shove wheat prices up over 100% in the past months. Cattle ranchers in Texas simply don’t have any grass to graze cattle on.  And if their isn’t any grass that means there isn’t any hay being made.  What hay there is most likely is so expensive you can’t afford to buy it to keep cattle alive.  So just like we did last year when MN had drought and we sold 1/3 of our cow herd, TX is now dumping cattle into the sale barn where most will end up at the butcher.

It would seem that there is a perfect storm brewing for America with so many problems all happening at once.  Is this the dark storm clouds of God’s judgment rolling in?  Could Jesus be coming at any moment to whisk away His bride before the wrath of God is actually poured out?  Are you excited for that day?
