Frogs, Cheetahs and Bears...Oh My!

Yesterday I mentioned that nature seems to be groaning.  There are numerous headlines talking about strange behavior in animals.

Today on Yahoo News, the animal stories continue.

A century ago, more than 100,000 cheetahs roamed the wild. Today, the majestic cats number fewer than 10,000—and conservationists and scientists have been trying to figure out why. One common theory: Bigger predators chased away the cheetahs’ prey, making it harder for them to get enough food.

A new study sheds light on another culprit: human-created barriers, such as fences and roads, that force cheetahs to travel long distances to find food.

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — An invasion of American bullfrogs that will eat just about anything — including each other — is spreading downstream along Montana's Yellowstone River and poses a potential threat to native frogs, government scientists said Thursday.

Bullfrogs were found in recent surveys along a 66-mile stretch of the river from the Laurel area downstream to Custer, said U.S. Geological Survey biologist Adam Sepulveda. The number of breeding sites for the animals almost quadrupled between 2010 and last year, to 45.

"They are going to eat anything they can fit into their mounts. It doesn't matter if it's another frog or a bird or a mosquito," said Sepulveda, who co-authored a study on Yellowstone River bullfrogs appearing in the journal Aquatic Invasions.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — You'd be hungry too if you couldn't find any food and were used to eating the equivalent of more than 80 cheeseburgers a day.

An already busy bear season has exploded in the Sierra Nevada with nine hungry bruins captured since Wednesday morning near Reno and Lake Tahoe as an ongoing drought continues to make food scarce in the mountains. A 10th was hit and killed by a car Thursday in south Reno.

Since July 1, Nevada Department of Wildlife officials have caught 42 black bears and released all but two back into the wild. They said two repeat offenders had to be killed — one so bold it was rummaging through picnic baskets in July on a busy Tahoe beach.

Student Killed by Bear

The Rutgers University student who was mauled by a bear while hiking last week in a New Jersey nature preserve did not antagonize the animal before he was killed, said police.

Authorities believe 22-year-old Darsh Patel and four of his friends were aggressively targeted and chased by the bear while trekking West Milford's Apshawa Preserve on Sept. 21.

In the group' terror, they split up in different directions to get away.

Patel's body was later recovered alone, with the hulking 300-pound animal protectively circling him until fatally shot, said police.

Wait a second....did I hear that was the first black bear attack EVER in New Jersey?

Did I hear correctly that bear season has EXPLODED in CA?

Is it true there is an INVASION of bullfrogs threatening Montana's native species?

Could it be that cheetahs may soon be extinct FOREVER?

It does appear that nature is groaning....

As prophecy watchers, one thing to watch for is an increase of people being harassed and killed by wild animals.

Why?  Because some day, (probably much sooner than people think) the pale horse of Revelation 6 will be turned loose.....and lots of people will be killed by wild animals.

7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Perverted Women in America

I guarantee you that even a few decades ago there was NEVER a female teacher in America who was guilty of having sex with a young male student.

Recently, the headlines of female teachers being arrested for having sex with younger male (and female) students is almost a weekly happening.

Today we find two female teachers arrested for having a threesome with a 16 year old young man.

GRETNA, La. (AP) — Two teachers are accused of having group sex with a student in Louisiana after school officials told authorities the 16-year-old was bragging to his peers.

Police say 32-year-old Shelley Dufresne (doo-FRAYN) and 24-year-old Rachel Respess had sex with the teenager at Respess' apartment in Kenner, outside New Orleans. They teach at nearby Destrehan High School.

Dufresne also is accused of having sex with the teenager at her home in Montz
Both women face charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

Authorities say they were tipped last week when school officials told them one student was bragging to others about a sexual relationship with teachers.

Another article says that these teachers even video taped their sex with this 16 year old young man!

How deluded would they have to be to believe that they were going to get away with this sexual escapade?  They HAVE to know that there isn't a young man on the face of the earth that isn't going to brag to his buddies about having an orgy with two female teachers!

"Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones."  Romans 1:26

As we have said in previous blogs, we believe that perverted women in a society is just one other sign of how close that society is to judgment.

Ebola in Dallas

By now all of my readers are aware that a case of Ebola has been diagnosed in Dallas.  The breathless details are still coming out.  How many people was he in contact with?  What airplane did he fly on? How do you go about putting 100 people in quarantine for 21 days?  Who will feed them and clean their apartments?  Who will pick up their trash?

DALLAS — More than a week after a Liberian man fell ill with Ebola and four days after he was placed in isolation at a hospital in Dallas, the apartment where he was staying with four other people had not been cleaned and the sheets and dirty towels he used while sick remained in the home, health officials acknowledged on Thursday afternoon.

Even as the authorities were reaching out to at least 80 people who may have had contact — either directly or indirectly — with the patient, Thomas E. Duncan, while he was contagious, they were scrambling to find medical workers to safely clean the apartment.

The four family members who are living there are among a handful who have been directed by the authorities to remain in isolation, following what officials said was a failure to comply with an order to stay home. Texas health officials hand-delivered orders to residents of the apartment requiring them not to leave their home and not to allow any visitors inside until their roughly three-week incubation periods have passed.

The orders – known as communicable disease control orders – are permitted under the state’s health code. Violations could result in either criminal prosecution or civil court proceedings.

But even as the orders were being issued, there were concerns about the conditions in the home where they were being ordered to stay.

The woman who was hosting Mr. Duncan told CNN that she had been with him the first time he sought treatment at the hospital and that she had twice told workers there he had been in Liberia. Still they sent him back with only some antibiotics to the apartment, where the woman was staying with one of her children and two nephews.

Over the next two days, Mr. Duncan began sweating profusely and had diarrhea. His sweaty sheets were still on the bed on Thursday morning, the woman said. She put the towels he used in a bag but said she did not know what to do with them.

The woman, whom CNN did not identify by name, said she had no symptoms of the disease.

The Texas health commissioner, Dr. David Lakey, told reporters during an afternoon news conference that health workers should have moved more swiftly to clean the apartment but that they had had trouble finding an outside medical team to do the work. They encountered “a little bit of hesitancy,” he said.

“We are arranging for that apartment to be cleaned,” he said. “The house conditions need to be improved.”

You can see how difficult it would be to find workers willing to go into a dirty apartment and clean up vomit, blood and poop.  Would you be willing to risk catching a heinous, deadly disease for $12 per hour?

Probably not...

Also, please keep in mind how quickly our malls, schools and businesses would shut down if this disease starts spreading.  Already people in Dallas are keeping their kids home from the school where the Ebola patient had some contacts.

Humans like to believe that we have everything under control....but really we are in control of nothing.

Disease will be one of the four horsemen sent out to kill during the Great Tribulation which is yet to come for planet earth.  This Ebola outbreak may be a foreshadowing of that event.

"I looked and there before me was a pale horse!  Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him.  They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth."  Revelation 6:8

Ebola certainly could qualify as a plague.  It's being reported that stray dogs are eating the dead bodies in Liberia...

Biggest Walrus Gathering EVER!

The animals of the world continue to make the headlines.  It's almost as if nature is GROANING.

Scientists have photographed the largest gathering of Pacific walruses ever recorded, on a beach in northern Alaska, blaming climate change for the estimated 35,000 females and calves huddled beside the Chukchi Sea (map).

Federal biologists with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) photographed the gathering, known as a haul-out, north of the village of Point Lay over the weekend.

It's hardly the first big walrus gathering to be documented, a fact noted by climate change skeptics. But scientists say the size of the gatherings are growing as climate change melts Arctic sea ice, depriving walruses of their sunning platforms of choice.

"The walruses are hauling out on land in a spectacle that has become all too common in six of the last eight years as a consequence of climate-induced warming," the U.S. Geological Survey wrote on their website Wednesday.

"Summer sea ice is retreating far north of the shallow continental shelf waters of the Chukchi Sea in U.S. and Russian waters, a condition that did not occur a decade ago," the USGS website says. "To keep up with their normal resting periods between feeding bouts to the seafloor, walruses have simply hauled out onto shore."

As the ocean heats up due to global warming, Arctic sea ice has been locked in a downward spiral. Since the late 1970s, the ice has retreated by 12 percent per decade, worsening after 2007, according to NASA.

Of course we are told that this gathering is the result of global warming.  The ice is melting in the northern regions and the walruses simply don't have any ice to rest they are hauling themselves onto the beach.

Maybe that's the case.  I don't know.  I tend to believe that our atmosphere is controlled by the Creator.  He knows when a sparrow drops from the sky.

What I do know is that we have another headline with the word EVER in it.

Gay Marriage Now Inevitable

Here is the headline from Google News today;

Gay marriage, once inconceivable, now appears inevitable

WASHINGTON — As the Supreme Court prepares to decide the future of same-sex marriage — an institution described as "newer than cellphones or the Internet" by one justice last year — two things are clear.

Despite this year's breathtaking string of lower court victories, the battle for marriage equality hasn't been swift or easy. To the lawyers who devised the legal strategy decades ago, the journey has been arduous, the setbacks plentiful and the battle scars deep.

And even after the high court rules — most likely by striking down state bans on gay marriage at the end of its term in June — the fight won't be over. Another clash looms over the issue of religious freedom.

Same-sex marriage's transformation from impossible dream decades ago to all but inevitable today has been, by most accounts, unprecedented. First legalized in the Netherlands in 2001, gay and lesbian marriages have spread to 19 countries and 19 states.

As they stand at the precipice — with the high court delaying any decision Thursday but likely to accept one or more cases later this month — the movement's founders insist it's a cause whose time has come.

It took nearly five years before legislatures and courts answered the call. California was first, but a court decision legalizing gay marriage was quickly reversed by voters at the polls. Finally, a series of states from New England to Iowa made same-sex marriage legal. California finally became the 13th state last year.

"Every five years is a complete generation in gay rights law," says David Codell, constitutional litigation director for the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

Since then, federal and state courts have given an almost unbroken winning streak to the gay marriage movement, with only a federal judge in Louisiana upholding that state's ban. A total of 19 states and the District of Columbia now permit same-sex marriage, and courts have ruled favorably in 14 other states. Wolfson has been to 10 same-sex weddings this year alone.

Along with the court rulings has come a growing acceptance of same-sex marriage by a majority of Americans. The latest Gallup Poll showed 55% support for gay marriage and 42% opposed.

"If there is one silver bullet you have to point to that has moved public opinion dramatically over the years, it's folks getting to know us," says Chad Griffin, president of the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest gay rights organization. "It's been nearly five decades in the making."

I must say I am simply amazed at how quickly the gay-flood came upon us.  It wasn't too many years ago where almost every state had its voters pass some type of DEFENSE OF MARRIAGE act that put it in their constitution that marriage was defined as one man and one woman.

And just a few years later we have the majority of Americans support gay marriage.

"Dennis, you are simply a homophobe and a hater!  Why do you want to deny two men who love each other and enjoy intercourse with each other, a chance at happiness?"

Because I believe that God invented men and women and I also believe He ordained one man and one woman as the only definition of marriage.  Everything else is just a shameful lust.

Romans 1
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

So if you disagree....take it up with God....not me.

Beheading, "That's What Muslims Do"

ISIS is beheading people, some Muslims beheaded a woman in the UK, some Muslim beheaded a woman in Oklahoma last week and now we have another Oklahoma man arrested for threatening a woman with cutting her head off.  When the woman asked him why he would do such a thing, he responded, "That's just what we do!"

Jacob Mugambi Muriithi, 30, is behind bars on a terrorism complaint, the Oklahoman reported, adding that his bail is set at $1 million.

Muriithi — a native of Kenya who reportedly identified himself as a Muslim — was working with the victim for the first time Sept. 19 at the Bellevue Nursing Home when he made the threats, the arrest warrant affidavit said.

Muriithi told her that he “represented ISIS and that ISIS kills Christians,” the police detective’s affidavit noted.

More from the Oklahoman:

The woman said she asked him why they kill Christians and he replied, “This is just what we do,” the detective reported.

“The victim said Jacob asked her what time she got off work and she replied by asking him in a joking manner if he was going to kill her,” the detective wrote. “Jacob told the victim, ‘Yes,’ he was going to cut her head off. The victim asked Jacob what he was going to cut her head off with and he said, ‘A blade,’ then told her after he did it he was going to post it on Facebook.

“The victim said Jacob was serious when speaking and never made any statements that he was joking or playing around.”

The woman reported Muriithi repeated the threat as she left work, saying in front of another employee that he was going to use a blade, the detective reported.

In other news today, ISIS beheaded 7 men and 3 women yesterday in Syria and you can read about that here;

So what's up with Muslim beheading people?  Is there some hint in the Bible that this is foreshadowing something that is coming?

Revelation 20
4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands.

Hmmmm.....sounds like during The Great Tribulation that anybody who dares to talk about Jesus and the Bible could end up losing their heads!

So as the days of  Tribulation draw near, it probably shouldn't surprise us that Satanically-inspired Muslims have a real desire to cut people's heads off.

I'm gonna say there is going to be a lot more headless people coming.

Now here is the GOOD NEWS;

Romans 5:9
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!

1 Thessalonians 1:10
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

Putin is the 'Most Dangerous Man' in the World

We are watching Russia closely because many prophecy watchers believe that Ezekiel 38-39 speak of a coalition that one day will come against Israel.  That coalition will be led by Russia and will include Iran, Turkey and some North African Muslim nations.

Putin may turn out to fill the role of Gog of Magog...or he may not.  If he doesn't fill it, he certainly is a foreshadowing of the man who will.

Garry Kasparov: Putin is 'the most dangerous man' in the world and a bigger threat to the U.S. than the Islamic State

Arguably the world's best chess player ever, Garry Kasparov is on a new mission. He hopes to convince the world that the biggest threat to global unrest is not the Islamic State, al-Qaida or North Korea. Instead it is Vladimir Putin, Russia's president from 2000 to 2008 and then again from 2012 to today.

In an interview with Yahoo News and Finance Anchor Bianna Golodryga, Kasparov outlined his reasons for believing that Putin should be what keeps the world up at night. He chided President Barack Obama for being too late in addressing Putin's aggression in Ukraine — ultimately annexing Crimea. And while he views the president's speech at the United Nations — calling Russia's invasion into Ukraine  and ideology of "might makes right" backward —he still believes that actions speak louder than words. Kasparov has extremely harsh words for what he views as European indifference to Putin's actions, and he compares the world's complacency with the lead-up to World War II.

Kasparov calls the Islamic State militant group (also known as ISIL and ISIS) a diversion for the world to focus on. He finds it hypocritical that the U.S. and other Western allies have agreed to supply Syrian rebels opposed to IS, while refusing Ukraine's similar request.

Regarding the current sanctions imposed on Russia, Kasparov believes that at some point they will hurt not only the Russian economy, but also Putin and his inner circle. However, for that to happen, he believes the sanctions will have to be in place through at least March 2015. He adds that Putin will use Russia's vast supply of natural gas as leverage ahead of what he calls the "upcoming cold winter," threatening to shut down supplies to Europe and other former Soviet republics and satellite nations. Kasparov fears that the threat will be enough to persuade an easing of sanctions. He also believes Putin is telling his inner circle of Russia's richest and most powerful business leaders, who are facing the ramifications of stiff sanctions that the western governments "will blink.  As before, they will capitulate.  We'll get what we need." Kasparov believes that Putin is calling the world's bluff. "He is playing poker while everyone else is playing chess."

Putin is playing poker while the rest of the world is playing chess...that's good.

He brings up some interesting points.  Why is The West so willing to supply arms to militias that are willing to fight ISIS...but NOT willing to give arms to the Ukrainian army in their fight against Russia?  However, please remember that Obama DID send the Ukrainian army some sleeping that should qualify as military aid.  "Sleep tight, don't let Putin's army bite!"

Poor Obama.  He just can't seem to do anything right!  He seems to have screwed up almost everything he has touched...Iraq, Egypt, Syria, ObamaCare, Russia, ISIS, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, border security, Ebola response, ...and I'm sure there is a bunch more I'm forgetting.

Just maybe, being a community organizer was NOT enough job training to be the Leader of the Free World.

Could it be that the world's problems are soon going to become so large and so complex that it's going to take some type of super-human man with super-human answers to actually solve them?

Could it be that the stage is being set for the Antichrist to show up on scene and calm a frantic world....who are still looking for some valid answers as to how 300,000,000+ Christians all simply vanished from earth?

Could it be that the world is falling head first into the most tumultuous days that planet earth has EVER seen!

"If those days were not cut short, no flesh would survive." said Jesus.  And of course those days of Tribulation will be cut short by Jesus return to earth.

Certainly we live in exciting times!

And finally,  just imagine if WE are the final generation...the generation that Paul spoke of in 1 Thessalonians, "After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And so we will be with the Lord forever."

Amen!  Come Lord Jesus!  We are ready for you to come and call us into the clouds!

There Will Be Famine

Jesus said that as His return approaches that we will see droughts and famine.

As my readers already know, America gets 40% of everything we eat from California, and that state continues to suffer from the worst drought EVER.

So this headline from today's news should really not surprise anyone.

California's crop harvest much smaller than usual

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — With harvest time across California, many of the state's once-robust crops — from the grapes that make world-famous wines to popular almonds — are anticipated to be smaller than usual this year due to the state's historic drought.

The water shortage has also led to shrinking orange and pistachio crops as well, the Sacramento Bee ( reported Sunday. Farmers in rural California are expected to feel the effect as an estimated 420,000 acres of farmland, or about 5 percent of the total, has gone unplanted this year, according to the newspaper.

Also, economists at the University of California, Davis said that agriculture, once a $44 billion annual business in California, will suffer a financial hit of $2.2 billion due to revenue losses and higher water costs.

Another important crop affected by the drought is rice, which is served in restaurants across the country and exported to Asia. About 140,000 acres, roughly one-fourth of California's rice fields went fallow this year, according to the California Rice Commission.

Mike Daddow, a fourth-generation rice grower in southern Sutter County, said he opted to fallow 150 of his family's 800 acres this year and considers himself lucky.

"We'd all rather be farming, as would everybody who depends on us — the truck drivers, the parts stores, the mills," Daddow said.

Mike Wade of the California Farm Water Coalition, a Sacramento-based advocacy group, said another dry year is not going to be good.

"Nobody has any idea how disastrous it's going to be," Wade said. "Is it going to create more fallowed land? Absolutely. Is it going to create more groundwater problems? Absolutely."

I saw at the store last night that Hormel Black Label bacon was selling for $5.50 for 12 ounces...which is the highest price EVER!...but don't fret because the government continues to insist that inflation is non-existent.

So what can we expect will happen to the prices of broccoli, rice and lettuce...most of which we get from California?

And what would happen to the American dream if Americans had to start spending 30% to 50% of their incomes on food?  How much would they have left to spend at the malls?

Friends, please remember, above all else, that while the news seems gloomy for America and much of planet earth, events are NOT spiraling out of control...they are actually falling right into place!

Praise the Lord!

"Workplace Violence"

When a Muslim Major went on an Allah-induced murderous rage at Ft Hood, Texas, screaming, "Allah akbar!"....the government called it "workplace violence."

Last week in Oklahoma a Muslim went on a rage and be-headed one lady and was working on victim #2 when he was shot and stopped short.  Is this also going to be classified as "workplace violence"....or is it going to be called what it is....terrorism at the hands of a Muslim terrorist?

Rick Perry said on Monday that the Obama administration will have to address the beheading of an Oklahoma woman in what the Texas governor noted closely resembles an act of terrorism.

“At some point in time the administration does have to address this as what is appears to many people that it is — and that is an act of violence that is associated with terrorism,” Perry said on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends.”

On Thursday, Alton Nolen, 30, attacked two women at a Vaughan Foods plant in Moore, Okla. During the attack, one woman was beheaded. Investigations have uncovered that Nolen had recently converted to Islam and had made radical Islamic comments on social media. According to two FBI officials who spoke to the Washington Post said that the incident is being treated as an act of “workplace violence.”

“I think Americans are confused about what this is,” Perry said. “This is a clear case of an individual going in and doing something that does not meet their definition of ‘workplace violence’ so I think any rational thinking American is going to look at this and go, ‘This is more than just normal workplace violence.’”

Are there Muslims all over the world who want nothing to do with killing and murdering in the name of Allah?

Of course.

But many of those Muslims are "Muslim in name only"....just like we have people who call themselves "Christians" but are really "Christians in name only."

The big difference is that TRUE Christians aspire to act more and more like Christ...while TRUE Muslims who really read the Koran, aspire to be more and more like Muhammad.  And as history shows, Muhammad was a murdering, violent it shouldn't surprise us when TRUE Muslims start behaving more and more like Muhammad.

When will our government and media outlets start to understand this?

Don't hold your breath.

Treasures In Heaven

As Christians here on earth we all know that we are not supposed to let our desires for riches get in our way of our devotion to God....but how hard is that?

We live in America which is arguably the wealthiest nation to have EVER existed on earth.  We are surrounded on all sides by wealth which most of the rest of the world can only dream about.

Of course we are all supposed to work...that isn't even a question....but how does one balance our desires for houses, cars, cabins, boats, jet skis, motorcycles, traveling hockey, $50,000 tuition for our kids college, vacations to Mexico, etc... with "laying up our treasures in heaven"?

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Matthew 6:21).

We hear a lot of talk these days about wars and rumors of war, strong earthquakes everywhere, famine, pestilence, and more. Obviously we are in the last days and the Rapture is on the near horizon. There are many commentaries written about these end days and websites abound on the subject; some people can hardly wait for the Rapture but others give prophecy little attention. Whether you are one eagerly awaiting the Rapture or are not interested in prophecy at all you need to ask yourself where your treasure is.

Believers and non-believers alike have lived on planet Earth for the last six thousand years or so and this has been the only home we’ve known. We work to buy a home, a car, education, etc., but where exactly is our treasure? Good or bad, happy or sad, angry or glad this world is where we have grown and flourished and we are used to the idea of working for our retirement or to put food on the table.

As Christians we need to be sure that our own efforts to gather treasures on earth don’t get in the way of our devotion to our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our treasure needs to be in heaven, not on earth. Believers should not look to the earthly treasure of this world for assurance. It is temporary and will one day blow away. Our focus needs to be on heavenly treasures and eternal rewards.

Most people would love to see the end to war, famine, hatred, all forms of evil, and have everything opposed to our well being eliminated from our environment. For Christians, one day that will be reality. All evil, malice, strife, hatred, envy, sickness, sadness, wealth and poverty will be completely forgotten the moment we enter that heavenly realm.

So why do so many Christians hold onto this earthly existence as though heaven doesn’t exist? Could it be that the riches of this life are so controlling that even believers can’t resist their attraction?

“But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition” (1 Timothy 6:9).

Pursuing worldly treasure can become more important to a person than pursuing heavenly treasure, and that is when we need to stop and take a good look at what our motivation in life is. Do we serve God and know that there awaits us many rewards in heaven, or do we serve the god of this world?

We ask the Lord to "give us our daily bread" when we pray The Lord's Prayer and no doubt He has given many of us the ability to go to work and then buy our bread at the grocery yes, ALL of this transaction is still given to us by The Lord....but still I wonder as I look at all the stuff I have accumulated...if I have been obedient with what the Lord has given me?

"To whom much is given much will be expected."

Add Yemen to Global Security Concerns

If you turn on the news and watch the unrest happening all over the can make a person wonder how and when it will all cease.

I have an idea that it most likely will get worse before it gets any better...and I am quite convinced that there will be no true peace until Jesus returns and sets up His 1000 year reign.

Most Americans have no idea where Yemen even is, but there are lots of Muslim terrorists in that country and the US military has already carried out some targeted bombing runs there.

DUBAI (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia has said "unprecedented challenges" facing Yemen since Shi'ite Muslim rebels took over the capital could threaten international security, and called for swift action to deal with instability in its southern neighbor.

The world's largest oil exporter, which shares a long border with Yemen, welcomed an agreement signed in Sanaa on Sept. 21 to form a new government incorporating the Houthi rebels and some Yemeni southern separatist forces.

But the kingdom, a key U.S. ally which views itself as protector of Sunni Islam, fears the accord could benefit its main regional foe Iran, which it sees as an ally of the Houthis, and might also bolster the Islamist militant al Qaeda group.

"Yemen faces accelerating and extremely dangerous conditions that require us all to look and propose the necessary solutions to confront these unprecedented challenges," Prince Saud said.

Prince Saud said Yemen's violence "will no doubt extend to threaten stability and security on the regional and international arena that could prove difficult to put down regardless of the resources and efforts that may be exerted."

Saudi Arabia in 2011 played a key role to push forward a Gulf power transfer deal that saw long-serving President Ali Abdullah Saleh step down after months of protests in 2011 in favor of his deputy.

Yemen has since faced multiple challenges, including regular attacks by al Qaeda and its affiliate, Ansar al-Sharia, as well as protests by southern separatists demanding secession from the country.

Saudi Arabia views the Houthis, who hail from the Zaydi branch of Shi'ite Islam, as allies of arch-rival Iran. Iran denies interfering in Yemeni affairs.

Dang it!!  I was just starting to understand Sunni and Shi'ite....and now we have another flavor of Islam called Houthis.  I wonder who they want to kill for disagreeing with their flavor?

Also notice that southern separatists in Yemen are demanding secession from the country.

So we learn that angry, disgruntled Muslims are threatening to rip apart another country in the Arab-Muslim world.

Question;  How many countries do you think can be in chaos with war-refugees spilling over into neighboring countries before it starts to mess with GLOBAL SECURITY...which affects us all?

When we go to the book of Daniel, we read his vision of the statue and that it was standing on feet made of iron and clay.  As he looked he saw a stone coming out of heaven that was sent from God and it smashed those feet...which ended up toppling the entire statue.  We know that iron and clay simply can not bond together for very long....and that all of human history will be wrapped up and done away with forever when Jesus comes and destroys all human governance and sets up his 1000 year reign.

As we watch the nations starting to split and come apart we can't but wonder if this isn't more foreshadowing of how close we are to the nations being destroyed at Jesus' return?
