Obama Has No Strategy...Yet

ISIS (aka Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) just butchered a bunch of Syrian soldiers yesterday.  They stripped them to their underwear, marched them out to a big pit and shot them in the back of the head. Some reports are saying 300 soldiers.  They also beheaded some of them for the camera.

ISIS has also announced that they are coming for America and for Obama in the White House.  They say they are going to hang the black flag of Islamic State from Washington D.C.

Clearly The West is going to need to do something to stop this cancer from spreading into the civilized world....so all the cameras went to the Leader of the Free World, (Obama) and asked about this.

His response was is that they have no strategy yet...but for sure there are no US soldiers coming!!!

oh...my....goodness!!!  Is this guy really our leader....or is he using his role as President to destroy the free world?  Why would you tell our enemies what you are going to do?  Why not KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT and make some plans to blow ISIS into Allah's kingdom??

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Thursday the United States has not yet developed a strategy for confronting Islamic State in Syria, an acknowledgement that a decision had not been made on whether to launch air strikes against the militant group.

Obama's comment during a White House news conference before a meeting of national security advisers about how to proceed against Islamic State drew criticism from Republicans and a clarification from White House spokesman Josh Earnest.

Representative Tom Price, a Georgia Republican, said on Twitter: "President says "we don’t have a strategy yet" to deal with #ISIS. That's obvious and increasingly unacceptable."

Earnest said Obama was referring to military options and that Obama has a comprehensive strategy for confronting the group through diplomatic means.

Obama's decision to begin U.S. surveillance flights over Syria this week prompted speculation that he was on the brink of expanding the fight against Islamic State from Iraq into Syria and criticism from some lawmakers concerned that they had not been properly consulted over possible U.S. actions.

Republicans and Democrats in Congress have called for lawmakers to vote on whether the United States should broaden its action against the Islamic State.

Obama shied away from launching air strikes in Syria a year ago to punish Syrian President Bashir al-Assad for using chemical weapons against his own people, and he has been reluctant to get involved in Syria's civil war, believing there are few options for the United States.

Public anger over the beheading of American journalist James Foley, however, has led Obama to consider military strikes against Islamic State targets in Syria. So far, the U.S. has limited its actions to the group's forces in Iraq.

Obama said he has asked Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel to prepare options for confronting Islamic State and said Secretary of State John Kerry would travel to the region to help create an anti-Islamic State coalition.

The evil men around the world are certainly taking note that Obama is like Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith Show....he might be a nice guy but in NO WAY is he qualified to be the sheriff of Mayberry.

I'm just not sure that there is an Andy Griffith waiting in the wings to come to the aid of poor Barney Fife.

The evil of Islam IS coming for us and sadly we have too many liberals who still believe that Islam is no different than being Lutheran or Methodist.

Here is what the Archbishop of Mosul, Iraq recently said.  Last Sunday there were NO CHRISTIAN SERVICES held in Mosul for the first time in 1600 years!!  The Christians have all been murdered or chased out.

The Archbishop told the world: "Our sufferings today are the prelude of those that you, Europeans and Western Christians, will also suffer in the near future.... Your liberal and democratic principles are worth nothing here. You must consider again our reality in the Middle East, because you are welcoming in your countries an ever-growing number of Muslims.... Islam does not say that all men are equal. Your values are not their values. If you do not understand this soon enough, you will become the victims of the enemy you have welcomed into your home."

Hamas Says Free World Should Rebuild Gaza

Here is how logic works in the Islamic terrorist's brain;

1) Israel is Satan.  We need to destroy it at all costs.
2) Spend all our money digging tunnels and buying missiles to destroy Israel.
3)  Begin launching missiles and using tunnels to kill Jews.
4)  Use women and children as human shields but blame Israel when they are killed.
5)  When Israel destroys your war tunnels and levels hundreds of buildings...
6)  ANNOUNCE THAT IT'S THE FREE WORLDS RESPONSIBILITY TO REBUILD YOUR CITY!

Qatar-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal gave a speech during a press conference in Doha on Thursday and said that Israel's siege on Gaza had failed. "This war was forced upon us," he said  at the conference which centered on the results of the seven-week operation in Gaza. 

Mashaal said "reconstructing Gaza is the duty of the national consensus government and of the free world."

"The resistance triumphed in Gaza," he said, vowing to start rebuilding the coastal territory, compensate the many residents who lost their properties, and see that the wounded get proper treatment. 

"Every Palestinian in Gaza and every Palestinian in the world are partners in this victory," he stated.

Polygamy Law Begins to Come Down

We have said it for some years now....once you throw out ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN as the legal definition of marriage then marriage can become anything that anyone feels like doing.  One man and three women, three men, two women and one man, three women.

Shoot, if you were Bill Gates and could afford 100 wives, I guarantee you that he could find 100 willing women to stand in line for all his riches in exchange for sharing his marriage bed about once every 2-3 years.

And today we find a headline that says that polygamy should not be a criminal activity...and really, if men are BORN WITH THE DESIRE TO HAVE MULTIPLE WIVES then why should anyone stand against those desires?

A federal judge has struck down part of Utah's anti-polygamy law, following a lawsuit brought by the family featured in the reality TV show "Sister Wives."

The ruling effectively decriminalizes polygamy in the state, while maintaining bigamy as an offense.

U.S. District Court Judge Clark Waddoups' ruling follows a similar order that he handed down last year. The final ruling on that case was delayed due to procedural matters.

The ruling strikes down a provision of Utah's anti-bigamy statute, that can be applied when someone "cohabits with another person" to whom they are not legally married. Utah law made such a union a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. 

The judge found that the statute violated the family's freedom of religion.

As our society continues to head into post-Christianity we can expect all morals that come with a Biblical worldview to be thrown out.

Can you imagine what legalized polygamy would do to some of the foundations of our society?  How about Social Security?  How about group insurance through your employer?  How about the already overburdened court system when someone wants out of a polygamous marriage....and they want to take their kids!!

Maybe our society should consider legalizing prostitution instead of polygamy?  That way we could have a legal brothel in every minor town across the country.

  The job creation would be awesome!  Some women (and gay men) could get off of food stamps.  The 18 yr old boys across the country could say to their parents, "Mom, me and my buds are heading down to the whore house for some action!"

 Mom could say, "Jimmy, you better not!  That's not good for you and your girlfriend won't appreciate that!"

  "Awww, come on mom...get with the times.  It's legal and everybody is doing it for their 18th birthday!  My girlfriend will just have to get with the times and realize that men have been doing this since time began, because we are BORN THIS WAY."

China Has Lost 55% of its Rivers

I know it can get tiring....looking at all the gloomy news that has befallen planet earth.  But please remember, Jesus told us to watch for gloomy things like famine, disease, immorality, wars, race riots, violence and injustice.  So the GOOD NEWS is that these things are playing out EXACTLY as our Lord said they would.

Today we find an article that is warning that China is on the precipice of running out of water.  Since they have over 1 billion people that need water every day to survive...this simple fact could be a major cause of unrest and wars in the not distant future.

A few days ago I had a conversation with the Chief Operating Officer for our agricultural fund in Chile.

We were discussing water, and he told me that roughly 60% of California right now is suffering “extreme drought” conditions. 30% of the state is in “severe drought”. And 10% of the state is only under “drought”.

In other words, roughly the entire state– the 8th largest economy in the world– is facing a severe shortage of water.

But if you think that’s bad, China is about to take over the spotlight yet again.

A study by China’s Ministry of Water Resources found that approximately 55% of China’s 50,000 rivers that existed in the 1990s have disappeared.

Moreover, China is over-exploiting its groundwater by 22 billion cubic meters per year; yet its per-capita water consumption is less than one third of the global average.

This is astounding data.

More than 400 major cities in China are short of water, with some 110 facing “serious scarcity”.

Beijing and other northern cities get most of their water from underground aquifers. Over the last five decades, China has had to drill increasingly deeper to gain access to water.

Since the most efficient way to save water is not to use it, a sensible strategy is to import water-intensive goods and commodities. Corn and wheat are great examples.

China has been acquiring land across Africa and South America; last week when I was in Ethiopia, the place was crawling with Chinese delegates in the ag business.

The goal is to increase China’s food supply, reduce its dependence on the US for grain imports, and reduce its domestic water demand.

China has the economic capacity to do this. Most nations don’t.

Globally, some two billion people face a water deficit, and dozens of countries have to import water.

Throughout history, water has been the most important resource in the world and a major cause for conflict.

Holy drought!!  That last statement sure is true!....water has been and will be a major source of conflict between neighbors and between nations.

People can only go a day or two without water.  Industry and manufacturing use enormous amounts of water.  Our crops require enormous amounts of water to grow food.

It's interesting that Revelation tells us the the Kings of the East will one day march across a DRY EUPHRATES river as they march into one of the battles of Armageddon.

It's also interesting that 55% of the 50,000 rivers that once flowed through China have disappeared!!

It makes one wonder if one of the major causes of the wars of Armageddon is drought and famine.  I'm guessing that if a country has no water they would quickly dispatch their armies to go secure some.  A thinking man is not going to sit by and wait to die because his river went dry.

As one prophecy writer says, "You can almost hear the hoof beats of the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse."

Yep...and soon after that you can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah.

S & P Closes Above 2000 For First Time EVER!

Droughts, quakes, fires, riots, ISIS, Hamas, massive government debts, Ponzi schemes, rampant perversion, churches in decline, mosques being built, false teachings in the church, Ebola....what?...who cares??...the stock market continues going up!!  The sky is the limit!!  Let the binge begin!!

Wall Street's record-setting rally continued Tuesday as the S&P 500 notched its 30th record of the year and closed above 2000 for the first time ever. The Dow also rose but fell short of its record closing high after setting an all-time intraday high earlier in the session.

Investors were encouraged Tuesday by the latest big corporate merger and a jump in consumer confidence and durable goods orders.

Shares of Canada's Tim Hortons (THI) jumped 8% after Burger King (BKW) said it will buy the company for about $11 billion and move its headquarters to Canada. Burger King fell 5% after rising 19% on Monday when news of the tax inversion deal was first reported.

In economic news, consumer confidence rose for the fourth straight month as the Conference Board's closely-watched index jumped to a seven-year high in August.

Orders for durable goods soared 22.6% in July on strong demand for commercial aircraft. But the orders excluding transportation fell 0.5%, the Commerce Department reported.

I will readily admit again that I had NO IDEA that our money-printing scheme embarked upon by the Federal Reserve would be able to push the stock markets so high.  I anticipated an "Obama bounce" brought on by the sheer exuberance of Obama voters convinced he was going to fix the world....but when he didn't fix the world, I had no idea the FED would be able to hold interest rates at 0% for so long....thereby forcing people to flee safe havens like banks and insurance companies and shove their money back into risky assets like stocks and junk bonds.

"Fool me once, shame on you!...Fool me twice, shame on me!"

Remember just 10 months ago when the U.S. government was actually talking about shutting down and defaulting on some of their debts?  Well forget about all that panic!  They fixed everything by just borrowing and printing more money!  It worked!!  They are genius!!!

Now we just have to teach Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Sudan, India and every other impoverished country to print money...and the whole world can get wealthy!!

Of course I could be wrong...but when this next bubble pops...I believe it could be legendary.

In 1929 the stock indexes fell over 90%!  Wow!!  If that ever happened again, that would certainly trump Miley Cyrus at the VMA's!!

Long-Term Gaza Ceasefire Goes Into Effect

The top headline on Google is that a ceasefire has happened between Hamas in Gaza and the Israeli Forces.

Celebrations have erupted in Gaza as a long-term ceasefire agreed by Israel and the Palestinians went into effect, ending 50 days of the deadliest violence in a decade.

The agreement, which came into effect late on Tuesday, involves an immediate halt to the violence in Gaza, which began on July 8 and has claimed the lives of 2143 Palestinians and 69 on the Israeli side.

The Palestinians said it was a 'permanent' truce, while a senior Israeli official described it as 'unconditional and unlimited in time.'

As the ceasefire took hold, thousands of Palestinians flooded on to the streets of Gaza City, some firing joyfully into the air, among them gunmen from Hamas, AFP correspondents said.

Mosques used their loudspeakers to broadcast celebratory chants of 'God is greatest' as the war-torn enclave hailed the apparent end to seven weeks of violence that has seen a quarter of the territory's 1.8 million people flee their homes.

Did you catch that??  The mosques in Gaza used their loudspeakers to broadcast chants of "God is greatest.""....ummm....is that really what the loudspeakers said?

Nope!  The loud speakers were really chanting "Allah Akbar!"....which means "Allah is greater!"

Friends, the God of the Bible, who is also Jesus and the Holy Spirit, DOES NOT GO BY ALLAH!

Allah is NOT greater than the God of the Bible.  Allah is actually Satan of the Bible...and he wants nothing more than to be worshiped by men and have billions of souls follow him into hell.

And right now, even though Gaza had over 2100 people killed by Israel and also had all their infrastructure and tunnels decimated...they still are so deceived that they have to get on the loudspeaker and say "Satan is greater!"

Our heart should break for these folks who are being led straight to hell by their fervent following of the demon-moon-god named Allah.

Now let's see if Hamas can call off the missile attacks into Israel....or if they are going to be so overcome by Satan worship that they simply can't resist trying to kill Jews for the glory of Allah.

ISIS Has Apocalyptic End Of Days Vision

The Muslims fighting for ISIS (Islamic State) believe that we are in the Last Days and that Jesus is coming back.

That's interesting....because many Bible reading Christians believe the same thing!

But don't be deceived!  The Muslim Jesus is NOT the Jesus that we know, who gave us His Holy Spirit.

Today we have a top U.S. military officer warning us about ISIS and their apocalyptic visions and saying that someone is going to have to defeat them.

Hmmmm.....can we send the mighty armies of Norway and Sweden to do it?

WASHINGTON – During a recent press conference, America’s top military officer asserted that the Islamic terrorist group ISIS, or the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, has an ‘apocalyptic end-of-days strategic vision’ that must be defeated by a coalition of forces.

Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, made the statements on Thursday as both he and Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel discussed concerns about the group.

“This is an organization that has an apocalyptic, end-of-days strategic vision and which will eventually have to be defeated,” he said.

Dempsey remarked that ISIS must be fought in Syria, but that various groups must join together to defeat the terrorist organization.

“[C]an they be defeated without addressing that part of their organization which resides in Syria? The answer is no. That will have to be addressed on both sides of what is essentially at this point a nonexistent border,” he said, referring to the Islamic group’s takeover of parts of both Syria and Iraq. “And that will come when we have a coalition in the region that takes on the task of defeating ISIS over time.”

“They marry ideology, a sophistication of strategic and tactical military prowess. They are tremendously well-funded,” Hagel added. “This is beyond anything that we’ve seen. So we must prepare for everything.”

As previously reported, Muslims believe that in the 10th century, the Islamic Mahdi—or redeemer—went into hiding, but will appear again to make all things right with the world. According to the website Answering Islam, Muslims also claim that Jesus will return as a follower of Islam and will establish the religion on the earth.

“Muslims believe that after Allah miraculously delivered Jesus from death, He was assumed into heaven alive in a similar fashion to the Biblical narrative regarding Elijah,” the site outlines. “Since then, Muslims believe, Jesus has remained with Allah and has been awaiting His opportunity to return to the earth to finish His ministry and complete His life.”

“While the Mahdi … is clearly seen as being a superior to Jesus, Jesus is still said to be a leader of the Muslim Community [upon His return],” it continues. “According to the Islamic traditions, Jesus’ primary purpose will be to oversee the institution and the enforcement of the Islamic Shariah law all over the world.”

Nadeem Walayat of the Market Oracle echoed these sentiments.

“What ISIS and virtually all Muslims anticipate is for Jesus to return on the white Eastern Minaret of Damascus (Syria) gliding in on the wings of two angels and then through much blood and carnage will convert the whole world to Islam including killing all of the Jews, break all of the crosses and live as a Muslim for 40 years, before dying and thus heralding the final countdown to Judgment Day when Muslims expect to enter paradise,” he explained.

Do you remember how the city of Berkeley, CA refused to allow a U.S. Marine recruiting station in their city....because it promoted violence?

One part of me would love to send a contingent of the Berkeley City Council over to Syria to sit down with the leaders of ISIS.  Maybe they could bring them gifts, COEXIST bumper stickers, and beg them to lay down their murderous ways and join the civilized world that abhors violence...and guns!

I'm guessing that after their heads are removed and the murders posted on YouTube that the rest of the Berkeley City Council will not be willing to be peace ambassadors any more.

I read a quote someplace that is SO TRUE that it bears repeating:  "Sometimes the only thing that will stop bad men with guns is good men with bigger guns."

I sure hope Obama doesn't fire General Dempsey for saying these things about Muslims and ISIS.

Also remember that Jesus warned us that there would be false Christs as His return neared.  Can you see how a billion Muslims will accept a MAJOR false Christ whom they believe to be Jesus?

Putin Continues to Sound More Like Gog

One of the major prophecies yet to be fulfilled is Ezekiel 38-39.  It tells of a time when the leader of Russia will gather a coalition of Muslim states including Iran, Turkey, Libya, Sudan and maybe a few other North African/Muslim nations.  He will gather them to make war on Israel.  The Russians want Israel because of the newly found oil and natural gas that Israel has discovered and the Muslims agree to join in because they hate Israel and Jews.

Most prophecy watchers agree that this battle has to happen sometime before the Great Tribulation.

Why do they say that?  Because of this passage in Ezekiel 39

Ezekiel 39:9-10
9"Then those who inhabit the cities of Israel will go out and make fires with the weapons and burn them, both shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, war clubs and spears, and for seven years they will make fires of them.

10"They will not take wood from the field or gather firewood from the forests, for they will make fires with the weapons; and they will take the spoil of those who despoiled them and seize the plunder of those who plundered them," declares the Lord GOD.

The rational goes like this:  If the Tribulation is going to last 7 years and then Jesus comes back to put an end to the Tribulation....certainly Israel isn't still going to be burning the weapons of war AFTER Jesus returns and begins His 1000 year reign in Jerusalem....so Israel must start burning these weapons of war BEFORE the Antichrist signs an agreement with Israel that last 7 years.

But we also KNOW that the Antichrist WON'T be revealed until AFTER the rapture of the church....so it is most likely that the war Ezekiel prophesied will happen sometime after the rapture but before the Great Tribulation. (also known as the 70th Week of Daniel)

So is it possible that Putin of Russia could end up being Gog of Magog...and possibly be the man that ends up leading this Last Days coalition?

We have no idea....but what we do know is that Putin certainly appears to have some of Gog's attributes....so if he isn't actually Gog...he sure appears to be "Gog-esque" in his actions.

Putin’s Pride – Danger for the World

As the Obama administrations draws down our forces to pre-WWII levels, and even front-line military officers are dismissed when in action against the enemy, Russia is doing something quite different. Russian president Vladimir Putin is proudly boasting of his nation's "offensive and defensive" weaponry which is so advanced that "other armies in the world" do not yet have their equal, according to a Kremlin-controlled Russian-language website.

Russia's feverish military build-up began in 2008 and is projected to continue through 2020. The Kremlin is determined to rival the U.S. armed forces. Moscow is almost completely remaking its military, and has developed, or is process of developing, new models of jet fighters, bombers, intercontinental ballistic missiles, hypersonic missiles, submarines, and surface ships. Putin has also shaken up the Russian top brass with a completely re-done command and control structure.

The Russian army itself is projected to become more of a volunteer, professional force, much less reliant on draftees. Military pay and housing are also improving as the build-up proceeds.

There are problems, however. Russian industry is having difficulty producing modern, technically sophisticated weaponry. Moscow has turned to the West for assistance, and the West has obliged. The most enthusiastic supporter of the Russian arms industry is France, which is building two Mistral-class helicopter assault carriers. The deal for the carriers was first struck in 2008, and the delivery dates for the ships, one in 2014 and the other in 2015, have remianed firm despite the Russian invasion of Ukraine's Crimean province.

Cooperation between Russia and China can make life very difficult for U.S. allies in the area. Japan is particularly vulnerable. Unfortunately for Tokyo, both Russia and China have reasons for weakening Japan Moscow does not want to see a strong Japan as a competitor for the Russian-occupied islands which Japan still claims. Moscow is building up its naval, air, and land forces near Japan, and Russian aircraft periodically violate Japanese airspace. China is ready to confront Tokyo over a chain of uninhabited islands (Senkaku to the Japanese, Diaoyu to the Chinese) in the South China Sea, and area which is also one of the world's most important shipping lanes.

If Russia and China are ever allowed to intimidate Japan and possibly reduce Japan to a dependent state, the United States would be seen as powerless, and unable, or unwilling, to protect its allies. If America retreats from the Asia-Pacific region, the independent island of Taiwan would fall to China's overwhelming might, and even the Philippines and Australia would find themselves in danger.
The United States would, in effect, no longer be a world power.

In such a situation, the United States would rapidly find itself as dependent on the will of Moscow and Bejing. Russia and China will then be the de facto arbiters of the world, and Americans would then find that even in domestic politics, the political elite of Moscow and Beijing would have a controlling interest.

Free people, in order to remain free, must remain loyal to each other. Any sign of weakness will bring on the most calamitous consequence.

Remember friends, NO MAN KNOWS THE DAY OR THE HOUR of when our Lord will come for His bride...which is the church...which is made up of all people, dead and alive, who have trusted in Jesus and are indwelt with the Holy Spirit.  BUT.....as we discern the times and read the headlines and see this Ezekiel 38 coalition forming...we SHOULD NOT be surprised if the trumpet were to blow announcing that the Bridegroom is at hand!

Gay Is Not The New Black

The pro-gays have successful convinced a majority of Americans that the current discussion over GAY RIGHTS is EXACTLY the same discussion that happened 50 years ago about CIVIL RIGHTS.

WRONG!!

It's hard to deny that homosexual marriage appears to be a foregone conclusion in America. This is a frightening prospect not only for those of us who understand marriage to be a testimony of the relationship between Christ and his bride, the church, but also for all who value the family and its contribution to the well-being of society and human thriving. And while it's difficult to watch a coordinated, well-funded, well-connected propaganda strategy undermine thousands of years of human history, it's especially disconcerting to witness the use of the civil rights struggle as the vehicle for the strategy.

The idea that same-sex "marriage" is the next leg in the civil rights race is ubiquitous. One of the clearest examples of the conflation of homosexual "marriage" and civil rights is Michael Gross's article in The Advocate, in which he coins the now-popular phrase "Gay is the new black."1 Gross is not alone in his conflation of the two issues, however. At a 2005 banquet, Julian Bond, former head of the NAACP, said, "Sexual disposition parallels race. I was born this way. I have no choice. I wouldn't change it if I could. Sexuality is unchangeable."2 Nor is this kind of thinking exclusive to the political left. When asked by GQ magazine if he thought homosexuality was a choice, Michael Steele, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, replied:

Oh, no. I don't think I've ever really subscribed to that view, that you can turn it on and off like a water tap. Um, you know, I think that there's a whole lot that goes into the makeup of an individual that, uh, you just can't simply say, oh, like, "Tomorrow morning I'm gonna stop being gay." It's like saying, "Tomorrow morning I'm gonna stop being black."

Even the California Supreme Court bought in to this line of reasoning. In a February 2008 decision they reasoned:

Furthermore, in contrast to earlier times, our state now recognizes that an individual's capacity to establish a loving and long-term committed relationship with another person and responsibly to care for and raise children does not depend upon the individual's sexual orientation, and, more generally, that an individual's sexual orientation—like a person's race or gender—does not constitute a legitimate basis upon which to deny or withhold legal rights. (emphasis added)

The California Supreme Court, like Gross, would have us believe that the homosexual struggle for a redefinition of marriage puts them in the same category as my ancestors. However, they would rather you didn't take a closer look, lest you see how flimsy the comparison turns out to be.

The first problem with the idea of conflating "sexual orientation" and race is the fact that homosexuality is undetectable apart from self-identification. Determining whether or not a person is black, Native American, or female usually involves no more than visual verification. However, should doubt remain, blood tests, genetics, or a quick trip up the family tree would suffice. Not so with homosexuality. There is no evidence that can confirm or deny a person's claims regarding sexual orientation. Moreover, the homosexual community itself has made this identification even more complicated in an effort to distance itself from those whose same-sex behavior they find undesirable.

 The Jerry Sandusky case is a prime example. Sandusky is accused of molesting numerous young boys during and after his tenure at Penn State. However, try placing the label "homosexual" on his activities and the backlash will be swift and unequivocal. "Pedophiles are not homosexuals!" is the consistent refrain coming from the homosexual community, media, academia, and the psychological/medical establishment. Hence, it seems same-sex attraction alone isn't enough to identify a person as a homosexual. And what about LUGS7 in college, or same-sex relationships in prison? Are these people homosexual? How about men who are extremely effeminate but prefer women, or those who once were practicing homosexuals but have since come out of the lifestyle (i.e., 1 Cor. 6:9-11)?

In short, it's impossible to identify who is or is not a homosexual. As a result, how do we know to whom the civil rights in question should be attributed? Should a man who isn't a homosexual (assuming we could determine such a thing) but tries to enter a same-sex union be treated the same as a woman who isn't Native American but tries to claim it to win sympathy, or casino rights, or votes? But this isn't the only problem with the civil rights angle.

Clearly, being black can be CONFIRMED by visual inspection.  Being gay can not be confirmed by visual inspection alone and instead one must take a gay person at their word....so DO NOT let anyone around you frame the gay debate as the same thing as the equal rights/black debate, because it is NOT the same thing.

Remember, we are all born with nasty desires, but that doesn't mean we have a God-given right to ACT on every desire we are born with.

Like one ex-Lesbian said in an interview, "The first Christians I met knew I was gay but they were more concerned with whether I knew Jesus Christ.  Once I did get to know Him, my gay desires began to vanish.  I am now a born-again follower of Christ and have been happily married to my husband for over 10 years."

Friends, if Jesus can create the universe and everything in it....he can certainly take away your sinful lusts and desires.  But first off we have to accept Him as our Lord and savior and repent of our sinful desires that we are all born with.

California Drought Leaves Homes Without Water

Last Thursday we did a blog post about the drought in California.  At the end of the post we said; "Just imagine the TRILLIONS of dollars worth of real estate that make up California.  It will be worth $0 if there is no water to flush the toilets."

Today we find out that it's already happening in some homes.

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Hundreds of rural San Joaquin Valley residents no longer can get drinking water from their home faucets because California's extreme drought has dried up their individual wells, government officials and community groups said.

The situation has become so dire that the Tulare County Office of Emergency Services had 12-gallon-per person rations of bottled water delivered on Friday in East Porterville, where at least 182 of the 1,400 households have reported having no or not enough water, according to the Porterville Recorder (http://bit.ly/1rsgwsZ ).

Many people in the unincorporated community about 52 miles north of Bakersfield also have been relying on a county-supplied 5,000-gallon water tank filled with non-potable water for bathing and flushing toilets, The Recorder said.

Emergency services manager Andrew Lockman, said the supplies of bottled water distributed by firefighters, the Red Cross and volunteer groups on Friday cost the county $30,000 and were designed to last about three weeks but are only a temporary fix. To get future deliveries, officials are asking low-income residents to apply for aid and for companies to make bottled water donations like the one a local casino made a few weeks ago.

"Right now we're trying to provide immediate relief," Lockman said. "This is conceived as an emergency plan right now."

Officials said the problem is partly due to the shallowness of some residential wells in East Porterville that are replenished by groundwater from the Tule River, the Fresno Bee said (http://bit.ly/1zkf4aD ). But river flows are way down due to the ongoing drought, leaving some wells dry.

East Porterville resident Angelica Gallegos fought back tears as she described being without water for four months in the home she shares with her husband,, three children and two other adults.

"It's hard," she told The Bee. "I can't shower the children like I used to."

Farmworker Oliva Sanchez said she still gets a trickle from her tap, but dirt started coming out with the water about a week ago.

"I try to use the least possible. I'll move if I have to," she said.

The article is telling us that there are now hundreds of homes where the water won't come out of the faucets and the toilets won't flush.  So when will that become thousands?  What if it becomes a million?

Can you imagine the unrest of millions of people leaving California to head towards states that have water?

God sends the rain.  We know he used drought to judge Israel.  You will have to decide if drought is being allowed to punish California for incubating so much wickedness.
