Israel is Not the Church and the Church is Not Israel

 I remember when I told an old ELCA Lutheran that I was going to visit Israel and her response was, “That’s nice!  I hope you can see Italy and France too!”  The point she was making was backing up her belief learned at the ELCA;  Israel has nothing to do with anything of God.  The church has REPLACED all the promises God made to/about Israel.”  That’s why it’s called “replacement theology”.

Of course the Catholics are into this belief.  And of course it’s a total false teaching that can really drive you off the rails as you read prophecy.  Israel IS God’s timepiece.  Jews today don’t come to salvation through any other name except Jesus.  After the rapture and the Bride is in eternity with the bridegroom, then God the Father will fulfill all his promises to the Jews and the Promised Land.  And some of these won’t be fulfilled until Jesus is on the throne in Jerusalem for 1000 years.

Check out this passage in Hebrews 8 and imagine how you would have to twist it to make it say that “God is done with Israel”.

    when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
    and with the people of Judah.
9 It will not be like the covenant
    I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
    to lead them out of Egypt,
because they did not remain faithful to my covenant,

    after that time, declares the Lord.

    from the least of them to the greatest.
12 For I will forgive their wickedness

63% of Americans Think It's a Good Idea!

 Our forefathers warned us of the dangers when the voters realize they can vote THEMSELVES generous benefits from the Public Treasury.  I truly believe that not only have we started doing this but we are so deep into it that we actually believe that the problem of the burning fire can be extinguished by throwing gasoline onto it.

A vast majority of Americans believe that HOW they should have the pain of inflation lessened in their own pocketbooks is by asking the government to print more money and then send it to them.

After watching the Democrats vote for idiots and even a dead person, I'm thinking we have to be near the end of this Constitutional Republic called America.

It might be time for us all to move to South Dakota where the zombies won't be able to get to us for a few weeks anyway.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert Mentions Return of Christ

 Have you seen the T-shirt that says, "Noah was a conspiracy theorist...until it rained!"?  That's pretty clever and pretty true.  Just imagine how Noah was mocked for spending 120 years building a huge boat and telling folks, "Repent!  If you do you can have a place on the boat and save your earthly and eternal life!"  Decades went by and with every passing year folks would walk by his project and say, "Ol' crazy Noah and his crazy sons!  What a freakin nut-case that dude is!" 

Jesus said that the Last Days would be like they were "in the days of Noah."...which could mean a lot of things, but one thing for sure is that the same scoffers would show up and say, "Where is this promise of the return of your mythical Jesus?  The years keep rolling by and still, we can do anything we want to do because HE AIN'T COMING cuz HE DOESN'T EXIST!!!"

I was checking on election results today and I saw this article about Colorado Congresswoman, Lauren Boebert, in the liberal news source called The Guardian.

Lauren is a Bible believer and leans far right into the Republican party.  She's big into gun rights and pro-life.  Right now she is about 67 votes behind her Democratic opponent.  The Left would LOVE to see her tossed out.

But here are the interesting paragraphs that caught my eye;

But on Thursday the margin in the race put it in the recount zone of about 800 votes or less, or 0.5% of the leader’s vote total. Both Boebert and Frisch had 50% of the vote as of Thursday morning.

Frisch contends that Boebert sacrificed her constituents’ interests for frequent “angertainment”, accusing Joe Biden and the House speaker, Nancy Pelosi, of seeking to destroy the soul of the nation. He vowed if elected to join the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, a sharp turn from Boebert’s repudiation of across-the-aisle politics.

Last month, Boebert prompted shock and mockery for telling party members they would “get to be part of ushering in the second coming of Jesus”, while insisting society was “in the last of last days”.

At a dinner hosted by the Knox county Republican party in Tennessee, the congresswoman addressed the guests by saying, “I want to start with two words: ‘Let’s go, Brandon’” – a reference to a vulgar anti-Biden slogan.

She prompted "shock and mockery" for dare speaking of the return of Jesus and insisting we are in the "last of the last days".

While I'm quite sure that Jesus had no plans on being a politician when he visited here 2000 years ago, I do know that he is Pro-life, pro-traditional marriage and pro-snatching people from the fires of hell while there is still daylight in which to work.  If Lauren loses her job for suggesting that Jesus is coming then so be it.  I'm guessing that speaking boldly for Jesus may have some eternal rewards for her.

China Prepares for War

 I read yesterday in Military News that the US Navy had to raise its maximum recruitment age to 41.  If you are going to join you need to start basic training before your 42nd birthday.  So what happened to all the young men that used to fill the ranks of our volunteer army, navy, air force and marines?  I'm guessing they might be living in their mom's basement, smoking weed and trying to decide if they are one of the 35 recognized genders.  After all, what is a man really?

15 years ago we blogged about Berkeley, CA and the city council not allowing a Marine Recruitment office to continue in their city.  We said at that time that we hoped if China ever attacked America that the Chinese soldiers would land in Berkeley to begin their assault.  Do you know how quickly the feminists in America would yell for a MAN to come and save them if they were being raped and abused by Chinese soldiers?  In a world with no guns and no laws and no God, men will always abuse women because they are, on average about 4-5 times stronger, and many are BORN THAT WAY with the desire to sexually abuse women.

We were thinking about all these things when we saw the headline that China is preparing for war.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has just announced that China will be "preparing for war", and that should deeply alarm all of us.  Needless to say, nobody is going to be attacking China any time soon.  So why would the Chinese need to prepare for war if there is zero chance that they will be attacked?  

Unfortunately, the answer is obvious.  The only reason China would be engaged in a military conflict any time soon is if it chooses to invade Taiwan.  The moment such an invasion is launched, the United States and China will be at war.  The Chinese know this, but Chinese President Xi Jinping is going ahead with preparations for war anyway...

China will focus on preparing for war with the country's security 'increasingly unstable and uncertain', President Xi Jinping has declared.

Beijing will now comprehensively strengthen its military training and preparation for any war, Xi said today, according to state broadcaster CCTV.

This is the very first time in decades that China has been on a war footing.

Not too long ago, the Chinese were our new best friends and we were doing all that we could to deepen trading relationships with them.

Now our economy is deeply, deeply dependent on goods from China, and once a military conflict erupts that flow of goods will come to grinding halt.

So let us hope that such a war does not materialize any time soon.

Sadly, it has become exceedingly clear that Chinese President Xi Jinping is strongly considering the option of "reuniting" with Taiwan by force...

Xi's announcement that China will focus on preparing for a war will raise fears that the nation may invade the self-governing island of Taiwan, which Beijing claims as its own.

China, which has the second-largest economy and military in the world, has repeatedly threatened to annex Taiwan by force if necessary.

A lot of people out there seem to assume that a conflict with China is not an imminent threat.

But just last month, the top ranking officer in the U.S. Navy warned that it could come "as soon as this year"...

Last month, US Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Michael Gilday warned that China could take Washington and the world by surprise and invade Taiwan as soon as this year.

Amid the military exercises by air and sea of Taiwan's coast, Admiral Gilday said: 'It's not just what Jinping says, it's how the Chinese behave and what they do.

'What we've seen over the past 20 years is that they have delivered on every promise they've made earlier than they said they were going to deliver on it.'

 Personally, I don't think that we will see war between the United States and China in 2022.

But 2023 is a very real possibility.

And it turns out that many officials in Japan also see the need to prepare for a coming conflict with China...

If China were to attack Taiwan, it wouldn't just have to face a hostile superpower. It would also likely have to confront its longstanding regional rival, Japan. 

For centuries, Japan and China have vied for hegemony in East Asia; at times, they have threatened each other's survival. Meanwhile, North Korea and South Korea are also getting closer to war.

In recent days, North Korea has test-fired over 30 missiles, and that includes an ICBM which prompted "an evacuation alert in northern Japan"...

The North has test-fired more than 30 missiles this week, including an intercontinental ballistic missile Thursday which triggered an evacuation alert in northern Japan -- a response to an aerial military exercise between South Korea and the US.

Of course North Korea has test-fired lots of missiles before, but in this case the North Koreans are actually admitting that they just conducted "simulated strikes on South Korea"...

North Korea said on Monday that its recent missile launches were simulated strikes on South Korea and the United States as the two countries held a "dangerous war drill," while the South said it had recovered parts of a North Korean missile near its coast.

War between North Korea and South Korea is coming.

But my personal opinion is that it won't happen until China invades Taiwan first.

Speaking of missile tests, it is being reported that the Russians will soon conduct another test of the new RS-28 Sarmat...

Russia is reportedly plotting to test-fire an intercontinental ballistic missile for a second time. Moscow first tested the RS-28 Sarmat in April. It is capable of carrying 10 or more warheads and decoys, striking targets at 16,000mph.

Russian politician Aleksey Zhuravlyov previously threatened to use the deadly weapon as Finland and Sweden were poised to join NATO.

He said Satan-II could hit the UK in 200 seconds if fired from Russia's European province, Kaliningrad.

It has been claimed that a single RS-28 Sarmat possesses enough firepower to destroy an area the size of Texas.

The U.S. does not have anything comparable.

In fact, the aging Minuteman missiles that currently form the backbone of the U.S. strategic nuclear arsenal are not scheduled to be replaced by something new until some time around 2030.

Unfortunately, the world will look completely different by 2030.

I believe that World War III has already begun, and several new conflicts are likely to erupt over the next 12 months.

In this article I haven't even talked about Israel and Iran.  Personally, I think that is probably the most likely conflict to erupt next.

This truly is a time of "wars and rumors of wars", but most people out there still do not understand what is happening.

Yep!  Most people out there still do not understand what is happening.  There will be a famine of understanding of the word of God...and that's exactly what is happening.  Where will the men of America be if we end up in a war with Russia, China, Iran and North Korea all at the same time?  Will Americans be fighting over what a "man" really is?  

The above author believes, as do many, that WWIII has already started.  As America collapses into a heap of debt, ruled by godless folks who believe the #1 goal is to protect the killing of babies before they leave the birth canal...I'm quite sure America will get what they want and what they deserve.  "And God gave them over..."

We Serve a God Who Destroys Nations

 I’m pretty disappointed watching election results this morning.  No Red Wave that some of us were hoping for.  I don’t know if it’s true where you live but here in Minnesota every Democrat commercial had one main theme;  Keep Abortion legal!  So the election wasn’t about crushing inflation, destroyed fuel prices and out of control debt, nope!  It all hinged on killing babies for convenience.  Remember when God destroyed Israel for sacrificing their children in the fire to demon-gods?  “Yes, but Dennis that was the Old Testament God who did that!  In the New Testament that cranky God had taken a nap and Jesus is the loving, tolerant, patient God of the New Testament!”

Wrong theology!  God is never changing.  He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  He never sleeps and he never slumbers.  Here’s what he said in Jeremiah 46 about destroying all the nations the Jews were scattered to.  If he destroyed godless nations in the past surely he will be destroying America in the future.  We hope it survives until the rapture.

France is Crumbling Away

 What is to become of Western Civilization?  When you throw out Jesus and throw out ANY "fear of the Lord", you will begin to crumble away.  Maybe not right away, but once it starts it can happen really fast.  France was one of the first "enlightened" civilizations, meaning they were one of the first to think they were too smart to believe in God anymore and science became their God.  In fairness they were rebelling against the Catholic Church but they ended up throwing out the baby with the dirty bath water.

Check out the mess today that is France.  Also remember that over 1500 Muslim mosques have been built in France.  And remember that a Muslim slit the throat of a journalist who spoke bad about Muhammad.  Since the French people have no foundation in which to stand on, the Muslim-mayhem will swoop in and fill the vacuum.

October 15. The corpse of a 12-year-old girl hidden in a big plastic box is discovered on a sidewalk in the eastern part of Paris. The victim's name was Lola. She was the daughter of the caretakers of the building where the murder took place.

Witnesses, fingerprints and images from surveillance cameras quickly lead police to arrest a woman. She confessed but said she had absolutely no remorse. The details she gave, confirmed by the autopsy, are that she gagged Lola with tape, undressed her, tied her to a chair, raped her with objects, partially cut her throat, put the blood in a bottle and drank it, smoked a cigarette, then finished slitting Lola's throat and beheaded her. The woman stabbed the corpse multiple times before placing it in a plastic box, and took it down to the street.

The woman, a 24-year-old Algerian named Dahbia B., came to France on a student visa but did not leave after it expired in 2018. She had already been arrested by the police this August, ordered to leave France -- and then released. She should not have been in France in the first place. Had she been deported, and if the French police and department of justice had done their job, Lola would still be with us.

• Hundreds of thousands of immigrants enter Europe illegally each year. Many head for France and stay there. They have been benefiting, since 2000, from financial aid and free medical care to which even poor French citizens do not have access. If they are arrested, like Lola's murderer, they are ordered to leave the country, but are not placed in a detention center so the order, never enforced, is not an order at all. In 2020, 107,500 orders to leave France were issued; fewer than 7% took place.

• Approximately 48% of all crimes committed in Paris in 2021, he notes, were committed by illegal immigrants. Murders almost as gruesome as Lola's -- most of which are committed by illegal immigrants -- are committed nearly every day. No one even mentions them. The victims often have their throats slit.

• Maurice Berger, a psychiatrist, speaks of "gratuitous violence": violence for no other reason than the pleasure of committing it. He reports that in France, gratuitous violence resulting in injury or death happens, on average, every two minutes. France reports more than two hundred rapes a day.

• In L'archipel français ("The French Archipelago")... sociologist Jérome Fourquet writes of a French "collective nervous breakdown" and the "crumbling" of French society. He notes that the religious and historical moorings of the French people are disappearing: churches are empty, important moments in the country's history are no longer taught in schools... France's Muslim population, on the other hand, maintains its culture, customs and traditions, assimilates into French society less and less, and appears more and more filled with contempt and hatred for France...

• Speaking about a "great replacement" of the population in France is taboo. Anyone who does it is immediately demonized and described as a follower of conspiracy theories. But the numbers are clear... In addition to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants already in France, approximately 400,000 more immigrants from Africa and the Arab world enter France each year. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of French people emigrate from France annually. In 2018, the most recent year for which figures are available, 270,000 French people left. Over the past 20 years, the number of French people living abroad has increased by 52%.

• Whenever someone is arrested, injured or killed by the police in or near a no-go zone, riots break out. When an arrest turns violent, the police are asked to let criminals seeking refuge in a no-go zone escape. The government evidently fears that a larger conflagration might occur.

• Inside classrooms, in high schools and primary schools, the French educational system is subject to Islamic intimidation.... Those who might have thought that the beheading of Samuel Paty would lead the authorities to make drastic decisions were proven wrong. Today, teachers throughout France report the relentless threats they receive. In the complaints they file, many say that Muslim students threaten "doing a Samuel Paty" to them.

• Economically, France is in decline. French GDP has gone from fifth in the world in 1980 to tenth today.... France is among the European countries which impose the heaviest tax burden on its population (45.2% of GDP in 2022). France also has the highest level of public expenditure in the developed world (57.9% of GDP in 2022) -- and an increasing share of public expenditure goes toward financial aid to immigrants, legal and illegal.... Taxes, however, are insufficient to pay for these public expenses....

Netanyahu Wins!

Yes Biden did phone Netanyahu some days after he won the election.  But make no mistake, the Democrats can’t stand Netanyahu and the fact that he won has to make them super upset.  Trump and Netanyahu were super tight.  The Democrats are super invested in giving the Arabs of Palestine their own nation, which has to be about the stupidest idea around.  With Netanyahu at the helm I doubt that another  Arab-Muslim state will be put on the books.  Let’s pray that Netanyahu is the dude in charge to lead Israel as the rapture of the church draws closer.  Keep all eyes on Israel.

US President Joe Biden phoned Likud chairman Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday to congratulate him on last week’s election victory, as Washington aimed to portray a sense of business as usual, despite some apprehension regarding the likely entry of far-right figures into the next Israeli government.

Netanyahu also spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shortly after his call with Biden, promising to “seriously examine the Ukraine issue” upon entering office.

According to a Hebrew statement from Netanyahu’s office, during the eight-minute phone call with Biden, the US leader told Israel’s presumed next premier that “we’re brothers” and “we’ll make history together.” It did not say what exactly the president was referring to.

Pressed for his reaction on the rise of the far-right in Israel, State Department spokesman Ned Price was careful to insist that the US would wait until the election results and government formation process were finalized. However, he did say that the US “hope[s] that all Israeli government officials will continue to share the values of an open, democratic society including tolerance and respect for all in civil society, particularly for minority groups.”

Meanwhile, United States Ambassador Tom Nides spoke with United Torah Judaism lawmakers Moshe Gafni and Yitzhak Pindrus, according to a statement Tuesday from the Haredi party.

According to the statement, the US envoy “congratulated them on the election victory of the religious bloc,” and vowed to continue to work to strengthen relations between the two countries.

“Where is Jesus?”, as Christians are Mocked for Watching for His Return

 As most of you know, I was raised in the ELCA Lutheran church so never heard a single sermon about the return of Christ.  Also I had never heard about the rapture until I was about 35 years old when I, and millions of others, read the book Left Behind.  I have now been convinced that the return of Jesus is close, for about 15 years.  I’ve been blogging about it here since 2008.  Scoffers are now everywhere.  “You’ve been saying Jesus is coming for 15 years!  Come on!  Time to give it a rest!”  But let’s remember that Jeremiah warned of the destruction of Jerusalem for 40 years before it happened.  And also Isaiah warned of Israel’s destruction for over 50 years.  So let’s remember that as we patiently watch for Jesus to come for his bride.

But even though they think that such Christians are crazy, mainstream pundits openly admit that there are lots and lots of people out there that are interested in learning what the Bible has to say about the "end times".  The following comes from a Slate article entitled "Why Growing Parts of the Christian Right Are Convinced It's the Apocalypse"...

Are we living in the days just before the return of Jesus Christ to this planet?  

Right now, there is a tremendous amount of chatter about the "end times" all over the Internet.  So many really crazy things are starting to happen all over the world, and many people correctly recognize that we were specifically warned that a lot of these crazy things would happen in the last days.  

For example, in Matthew 24 Jesus specifically told us that there would be "wars and rumors of wars", "famines" and "pestilences" just prior to His return.  As global events continue to spiral out of control, speculation that prophetic events described in the Bible are happening will only intensify even more.

Of course there are plenty of skeptics out there.  In particular, there have been quite a few articles in the mainstream media lately that portray Christians that believe that we are living in the "end times" as a bunch of nuts.

If you peruse the list of recent releases in Christian publishing, you'll get the sense that "the end times" are upon us. This summer saw the release of survival guides, books about current events, and prayer manuals all oriented around a rapture, a second coming of Christ, or an otherwise cataclysmic event at the hands of God. (Subtitles included 12 Megaclues That Jesus' Return Is Nearer Than Ever; An End Times Guide to Survival; Do Current Events Point to the Antichrist and His Worldwide Empire?; and Prayer Strategies That Unlock the End-Time Armory of God.)

According to Publishers Weekly, this spate of end-times books is being printed to meet demand. It's what the readers want. (At least some of them; editors at the imprint Harvest Prophecy, which was founded last year, told Publishers Weekly they had seen "a strong surge of interest because there is so much happening in today's world that parallels End-Times signs given in the Bible.")

And survey after survey has shown that a surprisingly high percentage of the U.S. population actually believes that Jesus will come back in the relatively near future.
