“People Don’t Want to be the Police No More”

 The Democrats are cooking a very poisonous stew. They have stood by while “defund the police” has taken root. The insane idea that social workers are going to rush to the scene when some drunk dude is beating his woman to death and talk things over to calm the situation is SOOO delusional that the idea has to come from the Man of Lawlessness himself!  And then the MSM portrays police in a bad light by showing the bad apples over and over and making folks believe that police are running around shooting Sunday School teachers for no apparent reason...especially black ones!  Is it any wonder applications are plummeting for police forces around the country?  Who wants to get paid $50,000 to get shot at and know in the back of your mind if you make a bad decision YOU may end up in jail?  Is it a coincidence that DFL-run Chicago is the murder capital of the country and they are about to lose 1500 cops in next few months?  Just imagine what it will be like when the criminals realize no one is going to arrest them for anything.

The Chicago Police Department is expecting to lose more than 1,500 officers by the first of the year in a staffing crisis sparked by officers retiring and relocating in record numbers. Additionally, the open positions are becoming more difficult to fill as applications continue to plummet. 

According to CBS Chicago on Monday, Ald. Anthony Beale said the large number of retirements and officers moving to other stations are just the tip of the iceberg.

Chicago Might Have 50% Less Police This Weekend

 Folks are standing up against the forced vaccine.  There is something very un-American about, "Get the shot because we said so or you won't have a job!"  Whatever happened to HIPPA?  Whatever happened to  "My body, my choice!"  Whatever happened to "discuss the benefits and risks with your doctor and decide what's best for you."

Let's remember that this is all happening over a disease that is SOOOO awful that you have to take a test to discover if you even have it!  A disease SOOO awful that 99.9% of healthy people will totally recover from it.

The head of the Chicago police officers union on Tuesday called on its members to refuse to comply with the city’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, which is set to take effect on Friday.

“Do not fill out the portal information,” Chicago Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara said in a video to officers posted on YouTube.

“I’ve made my status very clear as far as the vaccine, but I do not believe the city has the authority to mandate that to anybody—let alone that information about your medical history.”

According to Catanzara, the police union is preparing a lawsuit against the city if Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s administration attempts to enforce the mandate, which requires city workers to report their vaccine status by Friday or be placed on a “no-pay” status.

“It’s safe to say that the city of Chicago will have a police force at 50 percent or less for this weekend coming up,” Catanzara said.

The Epoch Times has contacted Lightfoot’s office for comment.

“I can guarantee you that no-pay status will not last more than 30 days,” Catanzara said on Tuesday. “There’s no way they’re going to be able to sustain a police department workforce at 50 percent capacity or less for more than seven days without something budging.”

“This is very clearly not a job action,” he added, “not a call for a strike.”

The police union head in his video instructs members to file for exemptions to receiving the COVID-19 vaccine but to not enter that information into the city’s vaccine portal.

Responding to Cantanzara’s video during a press briefing on Wednesday, Lightfoot accused him of spreading false information, dismissing most of his statements as “untrue or patently false.”

“What we’re focused on is making sure that we maximize the opportunity to create a very safe workplace,” Lightfoot told reporters. “The data is very clear. It is unfortunate that the FOP leadership has chosen to put out a counter narrative. But the fact of the matter is, if you are not vaccinated, you are playing with your life, the life of your family, the life of your colleagues, and members of the public.”

Shortly after Lightfoot announced the measures in August, Catanzara compared the requirement to how Nazis told their victims the gas chambers were showers.

“This ain’t Nazi [expletive] Germany … ‘Step into the [expletive] showers, the pills won’t hurt you,’” he told the Chicago Sun-Times, before quickly apologizing for his choice of words, saying he was not trying to link vaccinations to what happened during the Holocaust.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has maintained that the known benefits of the COVID-19 vaccinations “outweigh the known and potential risks.”

The War With China is on and America is Asleep at the Switch

 Is China going to collapse under its own financial mismanagement?  Or are they going to lash out like a cornered raccoon and try to take Taiwan to distract folks from their looming collapse?

Wars and rumors of war.  Many are saying that WWIII will start in the South China Sea.  How would America handle another massive war today when Biden and Company think the biggest danger in the world is global warming?

With each passing week, it looks like World War III — between America and China — is coming sooner than we think. It’s not going to be fought with bullets or aircraft carriers, although the Chinese are building up their military in an aggressive and threatening way.

This will more likely be an all-out economic war for global supremacy. The yuan versus the dollar. The Nasdaq versus the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, America is asleep at the switch — at least, the Biden administration is. This is the worst possible time to be raising tax rates on American companies (Our business tax rates would be higher than China’s under President Joe Biden’s plan!), dismantling American energy (at a time when China is running 1,000 dirty coal plants with dozens more in construction), and running up the national debt (with China a major purchaser of the bonds).

Love Donald Trump or hate him, he was a president who put America first and recognized the predatory nature of the Chinese regime. He got tough with President Xi Jinping and overturned one-sided trade deals. His strategy was to do what former President Ronald Reagan did to win the Cold War: Make America tremendously prosperous by building up our strategic industries in a way that the Soviet Union or China couldn’t compete with.

The danger is that we now have a president in Biden who thinks that climate change is a bigger threat to the world than the Maoists in Beijing.

And make no mistake about it, the communists are back in charge in China. Jinping has basically announced himself to be president for life, as democracy and free elections fly out the window. China is also sprinting back to command and control fascist government and industry “cooperation.” That’s a model that will eventually implode, but as we learned from the Soviet menace, they can do a lot of damage to peace and prosperity in the meantime.

Why Aren't People Working?

Apostle Paul is very clear when it comes to not working, "If a man won't work he shouldn't eat."

So how is it that every business in every town has a "help wanted" sign?  How is it that food supply companies have to cancel accounts because they can't find enough people to fill orders and pack trucks?  Oh yeah, and when the trucks are packed they can't find drivers to deliver them.

Some people have claimed that it's because all the baby boomers are retiring and they didn't have enough kids to replace them.  Others are claiming that its because there isn't enough immigration from other countries to fill the jobs that Americans won't do, like picking pumpkins, cleaning hotel rooms, etc...  And yet others claim that it's because parents don't require their high school and college kids to get jobs ever.  So the jobs that used to be filled by young kids are needing to be done by adults which then trickles up the chain.  And others claim that it's because the governments are paying workers to stay home.  They claim that the government is paying them unemployment and COVID relief funds that amount to about $21/hr so folks have enough money to live in their mom's basement, smoke a little weed and play Nintendo all day without have to be annoyed by some boss telling them what to do.

Maybe it's a combination of all of the above?

U.S. Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh told Axios he wasn’t sure why people aren’t rejoining the workforce despite a large number of job openings.

“These questions are asked every month,” Walsh said in an interview released Sunday. “I don’t think there is an answer,” he continued.

The jobs report for September showed the U.S. economy added a disappointing 193,000 jobs, falling far short of estimates. The low number stands in contrast to the robust number of job openings companies are struggling to fill.

“Ramped up production may be necessary, but you can’t find the employees to ramp it up,” Ann Silver, head of the local Chamber of Commerce in Reno, Nevada, told The Wall Street Journal. “We’re hearing that from every sector—hospitality and touring, healthcare, you name it. People can’t be found. Everybody’s quick to say, ‘Wow, the economy is rebounding.’ Well, it can’t without human beings.”

“There’s no question that we have work to do,” Walsh said when asked about the September figure, as well as the low August numbers.

Walsh cited the pandemic and fear of the Delta variant as relevant factors, in addition to discussing how the concept of work-life balance is leading people to change careers. “They’re looking at their career and they’re saying, ‘We were in a career before. I want to get out of this career. I want to move forward,’” Walsh said.

He acknowledged the September jobs report showed “not the best number” but pointed to the growth in the private sector, which saw a sharp increase, as a positive indicator. Walsh said he also didn’t have an answer as to why there wasn’t a big spike in the public education sector amid schools reopening.

“If I had that answer, I’d be giving it all day today,” he said, adding that the Biden administration needed to “dig down a little bit more” in that area.

It's not real encouraging for Biden's Labor Secretary to basically admit he has no clue of what's going on.  But of course his boss doesn't either.  It makes us wonder who is actually driving this bus?  The governments of the world seem to be headed for a train wreck which includes currency collapse, wars, violence and default.  We pray that Jesus is coming soon because he says that his return for the church will be a time when the world is still marrying, giving in marriage, eating, drinking, planting and building and NOT a time of desperation, misery and collapse.

Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)

 There's a new phrase for us all to learn...Central Bank Digital Currency.  Also known as CBDC.

Most folks now know the word Bitcoin and understand that it's some sort of digital currency even though the vast majority of us have no idea how it works.  But we have maintained all along that the governments of the world will NOT allow crypto currencies to run around the world forever because they simply can't afford to lose control of currency.

So what we can expect is for the Central Banks of the world to come out with their own versions of crypto currency.  The Bible has said this was coming all along but up until very recently the world never had the technology to fulfill the "cashless society".  Well, we certainly do now!

From the moment bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies first emerged, sold as an independent and alternative medium of exchange outside the financial status quo, it was only a matter of time before the new alternative would be absorbed, modified and redeployed in service of the state.

Enter "Central Bank Digital Currencies": the mainstream answer to bitcoin.

For those who have never heard of them, "Central Bank Digital Currencies" (CBDCs) are exactly what they sound like, digitized versions of the pound/dollar/euro etc. issued by central banks.

Like bitcoin (and other crypto), the CBDC would be entirely digital, thus furthering the ongoing war on cash. However, unlike crypto, it would not have any encryption preserving anonymity. In fact, it would be totally the reverse, potentially ending the very idea of financial privacy.

Now, you may not have heard much about the CBDC plans, lost as they are in the tangle of the ongoing "pandemic", but the campaign is there, chugging along on the back pages for months now. There are stories about it from both Reuters and the Financial Times just today. 

The countries where the idea progressed the furthest are China and the UK. The Chinese Digital Yuan has been in development since 2014, and is subject to ongoing and widespread testing. The UK is nowhere near that stage yet, but Chancellor Rishi Sunak is keenly pushing forward a digital pound that the press are calling "Britcoin".

Other countries, including New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Malaysia, are not far behind.

The US is also researching the idea, with Jerome Powell, head of Federal Reserve, announcing the release of a detailed report on the "digital dollar" in the near future.

The proposals for how these CBDCs might work should be enough to raise red flags in even the most trusting of minds.

Most people wouldn't like the idea of the government monitoring "all spending in real-time", but that's not the worst of it.

By far the most dangerous idea is that any future digital currency should be "programmable". Meaning the people issuing the money would have the power to control how it is spent.

The Falling Away is Upon Us

Here is a snippet from Nearing Midnight on Rapture Ready. Certainly if America is the shining light on the hill that will carry the Gospel to the rest of the world, that’s not gonna happen. When even the people who call themselves Christians begin to deny the very foundations of the faith, you know that a shipwreck is coming. It would seem that the American Experiment is coming to and end as we continue to reject Jesus/God/Holy Spirit.  We are quite literally perishing for lack of knowledge.

 I thought while listening: How true it is, the forewarning of Jesus Himself when He asked whether He would find faith on the earth when He comes back.

Those being interviewed in the documentary went into depth about how those with the Holy Spirit were the people mentioned in the parable of the ten virgins. How those who have the Holy Spirit within will go into the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Those without the “oil for their lamps” (the Holy Spirit) won’t be part of that glorious event. They spoke of how there was great resistance not only to talk of the Rapture, but to the belief that the Holy Spirit even, in fact, exists.

It is abundantly clear that those who don’t even believe the Holy Spirit exists lead the way in the “Rapture resistance” that is the title of this commentary. A study looks more deeply into this tragic, downward spiral in Christendom.

Of an estimated 176 million American adults who identify as Christian, just 6% or 15 million of them actually hold a biblical worldview, a new study from Arizona Christian University shows.

The finding was published by the Cultural Research Center of Arizona Christian University in its recently released American Worldview Inventory, an annual survey that evaluates the worldview of the U.S. adult population. Conducted in February, the survey included a nationally representative sample of 2,000 adults.

The study shows, in general, that while a majority of America’s self-identified Christians, including many who identify as evangelical, believe that God is all-powerful, all-knowing and is the Creator of the universe, more than half reject a number of biblical teachings and principles, including the existence of the Holy Spirit.

Strong majorities also errantly believe that all religious faiths are of equal value, people are basically good and that people can use acts of goodness to earn their way into Heaven. The study further showed that majorities don’t believe in moral absolutes; consider feelings, experience, or the input of friends and family as their most trusted sources of moral guidance; and say that having faith matters more than which faith you pursue. How accurate this polling research is, I don’t know. But certainly all one has to do is to mention the Rapture to most who claim to be Christians and there is either silence or statements like “I don’t like to think about prophecy. It scares me.”

It apparently scares most pastors, too, but for a different reason—the one mentioned earlier.

To eliminate the Holy Spirit is to eliminate the “hope” that is within the “blessed hope” of Titus 2: 13.

Coldest Place on Earth Just Recorded Coldest Winter Ever

More groaning events for planet earth. While the North Pole is supposedly melting, the South Pole just suffered through the coldest winter ever.  So remember, the climate change crowd wants us to be terrified of the earth getting too cold or getting too hot. They just want us terrified of something. Fearful people are much easier to control.

Unprecedented bouts of extreme heat and increased ice melting events have become the common topics of global warming worries. But in the South Pole, the opposite effects have been just as jarring in recent months.

Unlike its flashier cousin, the North Pole, which has been made famous for its mythical holiday residents, the South Pole hasn't been as directly exposed to the effects of a heating climate. While rising temperatures and melting ice shelves have caused some worry for climatologists, the South Pole has been largely spared from the effects seen at the North Pole, which has endured widespread glacial melting and was even shrouded in wildfire smoke this summer.

But in the vast tundra of Antarctic ice at the South Pole, temperatures plummeted to levels never seen before this past winter.

At the Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station, located on the highest plateau of Antarctica, average temperatures from April to September, the continent's winter months, fell all the way down to 78 degrees below zero Fahrenheit (61 degrees below zero Celsius).

And that wasn't the lowest temperature of that range. That was the average.

According to data kept by the British Antarctic Survey, the 2021 winter's harsh temperatures were the lowest in more than 60 years. The research team, which is part of the Natural Environment Research Council, has been tracking temperature data in the South Pole since 1957 and had never recorded a winter this cold.

U.S. on Pace to Exceed Record Number of Disasters in 2021

The Bible reminds us that the earth is groaning for its redemption. It also suffers under the weight of sin. And with 7.5 billion sinners walking around, that’s a lot of sin. Anthropologists tell us the population of the entire planet 2000 years ago was about 200 million. Now do the math to determine the percentage increase. We have blogged for years about “the worst storm ever, the worst drought ever, the most ice ever, the hottest ever.”  The extremes should also be pointing us to the birth pangs of the coming Messiah.

As of Oct. 8, 18 billion-dollar disasters have occurred in the United States in 2021, with the country on pace to surpass 2020, which saw a record high of 22 billion-dollar disasters, according to a new report released Friday by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

In 2021, the cost of disasters in the country has already exceeded the economic cost of all of 2020's disasters. Weather and climate disasters have not only killed 538 people thus far this year, but they have also cost the U.S. $104.8 billion in damages. Of the 18 disasters, one was a drought, two were flooding events, nine were severe weather events, four were tropical cyclones, one was a wildfire and one was a winter storm.

In 2020, the 22 billion-dollar weather and climate disasters in the U.S. cost just under $100 billion in damages, according to NOAA.
