Israel in the Pressure Cooker

 It sure seems like Jesus should be coming any day now!  Israel is at the center of it all, Magog coalition is about ready to believe they can destroy Israel, the financial system is primed for collapse and the Antichrist has to be waiting to be revealed.  I posted some of the article from Amir Tsarfati but recommend you read it all.  I can’t imagine the pressure cooker that Israeli leaders are experiencing right now.

Israel is a pressure cooker right now. If you have seen Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lately, you’ll know the toll that this war has taken on him. He and those in his government are constantly having to consider in their decisions the needs of the families of the hostages, the needs of the military, and the ultimate goal of absolute victory against Hamas, Hezbollah, and any other enemy along our borders whose aim is to annihilate us. All the while, the PM and his people are feeling internal pressure from the opposition, who, after taking a brief moment off after October 7 to express their desire for national unity, have once again removed their daggers from their sheaths and are looking for any way to bring the PM down. If that weren’t enough, the pressure from outside the country, particularly from Washington, D.C., to wind down the war and implement a two-state solution is strong and constant.

Internationally, Israel is in a no-win situation. The only ones who have any desire for a two-state solution live far from the eastern shores of the Mediterranean. Israel doesn’t want a two-state solution because that would allow directly on its border an autonomous nation whose single desire is to obliterate the Jews. Hamas doesn’t want a two-state solution either because rather than living next to Israel, they want to live instead of Israel.

It is that “us instead of them” mindset that makes it impossible for Israel to allow the Gazans to press up against their border. If the people of Gaza were peace-loving, respectful neighbors, I believe that a huge majority of Israelis would vote to allow them their own land and governance. Instead, we find that all but a very small minority of Palestinians rear their children to hate Jews and to desire their violent extermination. It is so endemic in the culture that it would take 30-40 years for a new generation to be raised which would not hate Israel.

But despite all this being said, please understand that Israel is experiencing victory after victory in Gaza. Hamas is on the run as they see thousands of their terrorist compatriots dying and thousands more being captured. As the Gazan civilians evacuate to the south, many are beginning to protest loudly and publicly against Hamas. Yes, the situation is complex and taxing on the leadership, but Israel is most definitely on the winning side.

Please pray for the governmental and military leadership of Israel. Pray for safety and pray for wisdom. The multifaceted situation they face is unlike any the world has seen before.

War Statistics

According to Israel Defense Forces (IDF) figures, 9,000 terrorists have been killed since the October 7 massacre with thousands more injured. Among the dead were two Hamas brigade commanders, 19 battalion commanders, and 50 company commanders. On the Israeli side, 560 IDF soldiers have lost their lives and another 2,536 have been wounded. This goes to show the incredible difficulty and danger of this new form of warfare that demands simultaneous action on the streets above the ground and in the labyrinth of tunnels below.

Since the war began, 14,000 rockets have been fired at civilian locations in Israel from Gaza, 2,000 from Lebanon, and 30 from Syria. In contrast, as the IDF moved through Gaza, they made 79,000 phone calls to civilians, dropped 7 million leaflets, and sent 13 million SMS messages, all giving notice of its intentions to enter an area and warning the non-combatants to clear out of harm’s way. And it is not just Gazans who have been forced to flee their homes due to war. There are 200,000 Israelis who have been evacuated to safety from both the southern and northern borders of the country.

Gaza

As rumors of ceasefires and the end of hostilities circulate through the media, Netanyahu took time to clarify Israel’s objectives. “I hear statements about various deals, so I want to make this clear: we will not end this war with anything less than achieving all our goals. This means eliminating Hamas, returning all our captives, and ensuring that Gaza will no longer pose a threat to Israel,” he said in a speech in the West Bank. He went on to say, “We will not settle for anything less than an absolute victory.”

There is a growing protest movement within Israel to block the “humanitarian aid” into Gaza. Why is this? Is it because Israelis just want the Gazans to suffer? No, it’s because most Israelis understand that the aid sent to the area inevitably ends up in the hands of Hamas and not the general population. This is an absurd situation. When in modern history has a country both fought and fed its enemy at the same time? That is a sure recipe for extending the length of a war and compounding casualties.

More and more Israelis are now rising up against this ridiculous state of affairs which exists only due to pressure by the US and the international community. If it wasn’t for our great need for Iron Dome munitions and other arms in preparation for the looming war against Hezbollah, we wouldn’t find ourselves in this predicament.

Meanwhile, Israeli fighter jets, drones, missiles, and ground troops continue to devastate Hamas and its infrastructure in Khan Yunis and central Gaza. Operation Atlantis is fully active, using sea water to flood underground tunnels. Soon, the IDF will complete its takeover of Khan Yunis, and turn its attention southward.

Northern Front

On Monday, an Israeli airstrike eliminated a number of Iranian advisers south of Damascus, Syria. The missiles targeted a base housing members of Hezbollah and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) killing seven inside. Several days earlier and across the border to the west, the IDF targeted several sites in southern Lebanon belonging to Hezbollah. At least four terrorists were killed in the airstrikes.

Once again, I must stress that the north will almost certainly be the next front of the war. Because of the strength and training of Hezbollah, the IDF will not be able to just plow through like they did in Gaza. This is where the real war will take place, and it will bring hardship to both Israeli and Lebanese civilians. But this fight must go forward in order to remove terrorist Hezbollah and other Iranian proxy militias. Otherwise, Israelis will never feel safe in their own homes again.

Future Historians May Point to January 28 as the Day WWIII Began

Iran may have pushed their proxies too far when they attacked a US base and killed 3 soldiers who were sleeping in their tents.  They used drones.  How will Biden respond?  As the article says, he can’t be a wimp about it but he doesn’t want to explode the powder keg that is the Middle East.

 It happened overnight at a US military base in the arid desert of northeast Jordan, where the borders of Jordan, Iraq and Syria meet.

American soldiers were asleep in their tents. Suddenly, all hell broke loose and drones were firing at them. Three soldiers perished. At least 34 were wounded. 

The vicious attack was executed by radical militants in Iraq and Syria backed by Iran. 

In response, US president Joe Biden has pledged that “we will hold all those responsible to account”. 

Biden’s likely opponent at the presidential election next November—former president Donald Trump—did not mince his words, blaming “this brazen attack on the United States” on “Joe Biden’s weakness and surrender.” He concluded" “We are on the brink of World War 3.”

This is typical Trumpian hyperbole, but this time the Republican might not be exaggerating. The death of American soldiers changes the geopolitical game. 

Ever since Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, Iranian-backed militias in the Middle East have been targeting American bases with drones. In a little more than 100 days, there have been a whopping 160 attacks. Almost all were unsuccessful. 

But all it takes is one.

Now three US service members are in body bags, about to be flown back home. It’s the worst nightmare of every American president. 

“It is a very dangerous escalation,” said John Brennan, the former CIA director, adding “there are going to be consequences.” 

It now falls on Biden to decide what those consequences look like. He must act forcefully and retaliate.

The president needs to send a message to the militias—as well as their backers in Tehran—that the US will not stand for chaos. Only this can prevent further attacks. 

But Biden must calibrate his response carefully. As analysts have repeatedly warned, the Middle East is a “tinderbox”.

In truth, it’s even worse than that. The Middle East is a stack of dynamite ready to blow up. 

There are several interconnected conflicts underway there. In Gaza, Israeli forces are fighting Hamas.

They’ve also been exchanging fire with Hezbollah, another Iranian proxy, at the Israeli-Lebanese border.

Off the coast of Yemen, the Houthis, also an Iranian proxy, have been raiding commercial ships and disrupting international trade. 

Biden is keenly aware of how dangerous the situation is. That’s why he has already stipulated that the US retaliation to last night’s onslaught will come “at a time and in a manner [of] our choosing.” The president is buying himself time to make a cool-headed decision. 

As Brennan said: “The big question for the White House is whether or not this was an Iranian-supported group or whether it was an Iranian-directed attack.”

In other words, whether Tehran explicitly ordered the latest strikes on American troops. If it turns out that it did, then the US could well hit military targets inside Iran.

At this stage, no option should be off the table. But whatever option Biden does choose, it must meet two criteria.

First, it must deter Iran and its proxies once and for all. Second, it must fall short of triggering all-out war. 

Biden faces an incredibly tough call. To make it even tougher, he’s heading into a cut-throat election year.

Trump is leading in the polls. And for months now, Republicans have been depicting Biden as a bumbling leader who cannot keep Americans safe. Yesterday’s deadly attack has only given them more ammunition. 

Biden knows full well that he has to look tough now. If he doesn’t, he could lose the election. 

All these considerations are surely weighing on the president’s mind. 

Joe Biden has a lifetime of experience in world politics. He served as a US senator for 36 years and as vice-president for eight years. He’s made hundreds of thousands of decisions. But his next might just be the most important one.

Seaweed Could Save The World After Nuclear War

 This is kind of an interesting article to find on the front page of Google News…the talk of nuclear war and how humans might survive.  Thankfully, while something like this could happen during the Tribulation, I believe we will be gone before a living hell like this would happen.

Should our planet be ravaged by nuclear war, those who survive may not starve to death, or so suggests a new study. Yes, the million tons of radioactive dust and smoke and soot that result from the fires caused by the bombs will be sent into Earth's atmosphere, sharply curtailing sunlight and causing surface temperatures to plummet. As expected, "This could decimate agriculture as it is practiced today," write researchers in Earth's Future. Realizing "resilient food sources" would be necessary in the event of such a nuclear winter, they zero in on one viable one: seaweed, specifically Gracilaria tikvahiae, which USA Today reports is known as red seaweed.

Their modeling showed that even after nuclear war, seaweed can be grown in tropical oceans. In fact, "The growth of seaweed actually increases after a nuclear war, because more nutrients become available in the ocean," they write: Colder air would cause surface water to sink further, which would help circulate more nutrient-rich water to the surface. Per their simulations, within nine to 14 months seaweed could meet 45% of the global human food demand, which LiveScience details as replacing 15% of the food we eat, 50% of current biofuel production, and 10% of animal feed.

If you're wondering why all of it wouldn't go to feed humans, LiveScience explains the iodine in seaweed can be toxic if too much is consumed, making "indirect" uses, like feeding animals, valuable. The researchers write, "While a pure seaweed diet is not possible, this intervention could have an expected value of averting up to ~1.2 billion deaths from starvation (15% of human food demand times 8 billion people)." The main challenge, the study notes, would lie in humanity's ability to construct new seaweed farms quickly enough. (More discoveries stories.)

Ilhan Omar Should Resign From Congress

Our Muslim congresswoman from MN gave a speech that has some folks up in arms.  No doubt this woman has been an embarrassment in many ways.  We hope this speech could be another key to getting her out.

 Addressing a crowded room full of Somalis waving different Somali flags, Rep. Omar purportedly told the audience, “The woman you sent to Congress is working day and night to protect your interest. She knows your plight and that of Somalia. I am as concerned about Somalia as you guys are. Together we will protect the interests of Somalia.”

Regarding the video, Rep. Tom Emmer, the majority whip of the U.S. House of Representatives, issued a statement to Alpha News saying: “Ilhan Omar’s appalling, Somalia-first comments are a slap in the face to the Minnesotans she was elected to serve and a direct violation of her oath of office. She should resign in disgrace.”

Emmer, a Republican, represents Minnesota’s Sixth Congressional District.

Throughout her speech, Rep. Omar supposedly made repeated references to an ongoing feud involving several east African countries including Somalia, Somaliland, Ethiopia, and Kenya.

Allegedly speaking about the United States’ ability to influence the multi-national dispute, the video’s translation shows Rep. Omar saying, “We live in the U.S., pay taxes in the U.S. and have a real voice. The U.S. is a country where one of your daughters is in Congress to represent your interest. For as long as I am in the U.S. Congress, Somalia will never be in danger, its waters will not be stolen by Ethiopia or others. ”

Additionally, the video’s translation quotes the congresswoman as allegedly saying, “Sleep in comfort, knowing I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the U.S. system.”

18,000 Border Patrol Agents Support Texas

 The National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) issued a statement last week in support of the steps the Texas National Guard has taken to secure the southern border and blasting President Joe Biden’s administration for unleashing a “catastrophe” on the United States.

A statement released on Thursday by the NBPC, which is the official union for over 18,000 U.S. Customs Customs and Border Protection (CBP) employees, pushed back against what the union described as “fake news” reports that Border Patrol agents would be arresting Texas National Guardsmen at the border.

The statement was released as Governor Greg Abbott (R-Texas) and the Texas National Guard continued to install razor-wire barriers along the southern border last week despite a Supreme Court ruling allowing the Biden administration to remove the barriers. 

“Rank-and file BP agents are not going to start arresting TX NG members for following their LAWFUL orders. That’s fake news,” the NBPC stated. “TX NG and rank-and-file BP agents work together and respect each other’s jobs. Period. If TX NG members have LAWFUL orders, then they have to carry out those orders.”

The NBPC explained that members of the Texas National Guard understand that Border Patrol agents have orders to follow as well, regardless of how “unpopular or distasteful” the orders are among Border Patrol agents. However, the union added that unlawful orders “will not be followed.” 

“Rank-and-file BP agents appreciate and respect what TX has been doing to defend their state in the midst of this catastrophe that the Biden Admin has unleashed on America,” the NBPC continued. “We want to be perfectly clear, there is no fight between rank-and-file BP agents and the TX NG, Gov. Abott, or TX DPS. It may make flashy headlines, but it simply isn’t true.”

Texas and the Fight With Federal Government

 The words Civil War are certainly being thrown around as this border battle continues between the White House and the Governors of 26 states.  The state governor has some real power to push back against the Federal Government if they deem that the President is not performing his legal duties.  People want to say the Civil War was about slavery, and it was the main issue that the states were in disagreement about, but “State’s rights” about power, decisions and control of militias was also a driving factor that led to Civil War.  So WHO has ultimate control of the Texas National Guard?  The Governor or President Biden?  Read Pastor Jack Hibbs warning about this developing situation.

There have been an estimated 9 million illegal border crossings into the United States since the Biden administration took office. Taking a momentous step to halt this “invasion,” the Governor of Texas issued a statement on Wednesday invoking the state’s “Constitutional Right To Self-Defense” to protect its border. 

This action, Texas Governor Greg Abbott explained in his statement, was provoked by the federal government and President Biden’s violation and “refusal” to enforce the law.

The statement reads, in part: 

“The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the States.”

“For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary. The Texas National Guard, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and other Texas personnel are acting on that authority, as well as state law, to secure the Texas border.”

Jack Hibbs, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in California and Founder of the Real Life Network, on Wednesday informed his congregation about the situation developing, which he warned could result in civil war.

Many, especially young people, are not aware of the “incredible power” held by governors, Hibbs explained.

“The governor is like the president of a country,” he described. “The United States Air Force is made up of Air Forces from 50 different states. The United States Army is made up of soldiers or army personnel from each of the 50 states. Every state has a National Guard. So, for example, Gavin Newsom, as Governor of California, is the Commander in Chief of the California National Guard.”

“Our states are sovereign. The states agree to have the federal government rule over them. A governor can tell the federal government that they’re not going to do this or they’re not going to do that,” he explained. “A governor has incredible power.”

“We’re in a situation because Texas, the people of Texas, decided to shut the border down. Joe Biden deployed federal forces to literally cut the brand new fencing and barbed wire so that the invasion could continue,” Hibbs stressed. “You don’t want to pick a fight with Texas—and I’m not saying that as a joke. Their patriotism for their ‘country of Texas’ is not to be played with.”

“Texas’ constitutional authority, by the way, trump’s the federal constitution,” the pastor noted, highlighting that Texas has already left the United States twice, and the events unfolding could lead to a third departure.

Former President Donald Trump joined the growing course of more than 20 governors and republican leaders voicing their support of Texas’ action to protect its border.

“Joe Biden has surrendered our Border, and is aiding and abetting a massive Invasion of millions of Illegal Migrants into the United States,” Trump said in a statement. “Instead of fighting to protect our Country from this onslaught, Biden is, unbelievably, fighting to tie the hands of Governor Abbott and the state of Texas, so that the Invasion continues unchecked.”

“We encourage all willing States to deploy their guards to Texas to prevent the entry of Illegals, and to remove them back across the border. All Americans should support the commonsense measures by Texas authorities to protect the Safety, Security, and Sovereignty of Texas, and of the American people,” he urged.

The events between Texas and the Biden Administration have been reported globally. Unfortunately, as pastor Jack Hibbs described, much of the media in America, including CNN and MSNBC, have not been covering the events nor giving an accurate representation of the border crisis to their audiences.

Karine Jean-Pierre, speaking to CNN, insisted that the Texas Governor is “making it harder for law enforcement at the border to do their job” and accused him of “politiciz[ing] the issue of what’s happening on the border.”

Firing back on Thursday, Abbott called the statements “uninformed” and criticized Democrats and the media for “cast[ing] a false narrative” about the border.

“Because the Biden Administration has really, truly abdicated its responsibility to secure the border and enforce the laws, Texas very simply is securing the border. Texas has a right, as a state, to stop criminals from coming into our state,” the governor told Fox News. “Joe Biden actually does have an option here. His option is to enforce the laws of the United States and stop illegal entry.”

Democrats are demanding the Biden administration to take action, including Texas Congressman Greg Casar, who urged the President on Wednesday “to establish sole federal control of the Texas National Guard.”

Pastor Jack Hibbs underscored his belief that the Biden administration’s actions regarding the border, and the disunity among the states it has provoked, may have been deliberate.

“I’m sorry to tell you. The powers that are pulling the strings to this country are literally bringing us to a civil war,” he asserted. “It’s the first time since 1861 where we’re looking at soldiers, possibly shooting at other soldiers on the same team—States.”

“I’m telling you, as an old guy, this is wild. Young people, you may be watching some history unfold that you didn’t plan on experiencing,” he underscored.

Hibbs ended his remarks by praying for the United States, “[our nation] is actually falling apart, and we’re watching it happen.”

Three US Soldiers Killed in Jordan

The Middle East just changed from a raging fire into an explosion as three US Army soldiers were killed in Jordan.  The White House already claims they know it was carried out by a terrorist group backed by Iran.  So if Biden starts bombing Iran and Yemen while sending bombs for Ukraine to use to bomb Russia AND Israel keeps fighting in Gaza and soon in Lebanon and also continues to do bombing strikes in Syria…one can see how WWIII could get rolling really fast.

Three US Army soldiers were killed and more than 30 service members were injured in a drone attack overnight on a small US outpost in Jordan, US officials told CNN, marking the first time US troops have been killed by enemy fire in the Middle East since the beginning of the Gaza war.

“We shall respond,” President Joe Biden said while speaking in South Carolina on Sunday.

The killing of three Americans at Tower 22 in Jordan near the border with Syria is a significant escalation of an already-precarious situation in the Middle East. Officials said the drone was fired by Iran-backed militants and appeared to come from Syria. It is still being determined which militia group specifically is responsible.

US Central Command confirmed in a statement Sunday that three service members were killed and at least 34 injured in a one-way drone attack that “impacted at a base in northeast Jordan.” Eight injured service members were medically evacuated to receive higher-level care, CENTCOM said.

The number of wounded is expected to rise as service members seek treatment for symptoms consistent with traumatic brain injury, two US officials said.

Biden vowed Sunday to hold those responsible for the attack “to account,” saying that while facts are still being gathered, “We know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq.”
